Have you? One thing I learned is from Carlos and that is "Everything will be okay if you just remain calm.", This is 100% true and has helped me before when I've panicked :P

Never give children walkie talkies.
Honestly? No. Its an enjoyable game but I dont let it influence my life
Urbans can pick locks
Don't trust anyone.
Honestly, TWD Changed my life. I learned to not to give up. I learned to remain silent. I learned swearing. I learned that the life is hard,It won't become easy by itself, You have to make it easy. And Much more.
Befriend rednecks.
Never forget who u are. Dont become a monster
No. It's just a game. If I were to learn my life lesson from a game, that would be one of the first signs that there is something going horribly wrong with my life.
i learned that zombies eat people.
Now, I don't mean to be a downer here, but...
...I wouldn't call it 100% true.
You have to be able to make important decisions, that will have serious consequences/impacts in the future.. and.. deal with them somehow.
I forced this bossy bitch with father issues out of my group of friends before she kills my crush or steals one of our vehicles.
I learned that Too Much Salt Will Kill You
I've learned to say FUBAR in the most badass way possible.
Humanity sucks
You needed a videogame to realize that?
I wouldn't say that. Games have stories that can teach you stuff, just like movies and books.
For instance, Walking Dead s1 taught me that blood doesn't make you family. S2 has taught me that everyone will underestimate you, but that shouldn't stop you. Wolf has even taught me that you shouldn't let your past determine who you are.
See?
Nothing.
Don't worry, in real life they sit behind the computer all day.
Excuse me, but a proper life lesson shouldn't be learned purely on a story. Whether it's a story from a book, movie, or game.
Life lessons are learned by experience, by interaction with other individuals, by actions and consequences. Surely not by, for example, pushing a button,
All those lessons you just listed are learned by simply living. If there are learned with the help of an artificial experience, well, then there are only artificial lessons learnd. At least in my book.
Life lessons can be learned anywhere. By interacting with other people and by stories. At least, in my book.
Glenn's porcelain car window trick helped substantially with my car theft business.
Saltlicks are better than guns
Each to his own. I think it's absurd that you would learn anything properly from a videogame. Life lessons, or anything for that matter. Since it's not like you're a world-class driver after driving a bunch of racing games, just to name another example.
Well like in Sarahs case, if she had remained calm, Nick and Sarita would be alive.
"Regardless of intent, there are consequences to rash actions"
"If people don't trust you, how can you trust them?"
punish the wicked.
'Hell comes in a lot of different colours.'
Always bet on black!
I learned to never get attached to fictional characters...
I think its absurd you are comparing games with a story, a powerful one at that, to a "bunch of racing games." And its not like I'm learning how to kill zombies or become a werewolf in these games, I'm learning how to deal with situations similar to those in my day-to-day life.
But like you said, "each to his own."
Never accept the invitation for dinner from some farmers with a dairy and one cow, living in Georgia. NEVER
Implying that you act in-game and in your life the same. Which I just can't imagine. And those situations still differ from your everyday life, at least I hope so, it would seem troublesome that you live in a wasteland full of zombies.
I'd say The Walking Dead, for me, has induced a large amount of philosophical thought. I always wonder what I'd really do in the situations presented to me throughout the series and I've had to seriously question my morals a number of times. That's pretty powerful stuff.
Never trust anyone unless you really trust them. (Yes, I meant it like that and it's more of a deeper meaning)
A ton really.
Remember to trust and appreciate the people you love, because the next minute they could be gone.
Don't always trust strangers so easily no matter what they offer or how nice they seem to be.
Sometimes you have to make choices but that's okay, as long as you make the one you think could be right.
In a zombie apocalypse, always keep moving.
...Keep that hair short (I'm sorry).
That I may as well rob, steal and kill, because even if I don't some judgmental blockhead is going to turn up in the final chapter and accuse me of it.
I'd been slowly coming to the realization for many years. This game broke the camels back.
"Sometimes there just isn't a right answer."
"Sometimes you gotta play a role, even if it means the people you love hate you for it."
"You don't just end it cause it's hard. You stick it out and you help the folks you care about."
"Your either living or your not. You ain't a girl you ain't a boy, you ain't strong or smart. Your alive."
"Regardless of intent, there are consequences to rash actions"
And lots of more.
The Game is better than the TV Show
