I was of the opinion that although I like Kenny, I do feel his time is up. However after some thought, I believe that tell-tale will end this season on a cliffhanger ready for number three.
Could well be that Kenny gets shot during the shoot out, or he is suffering from brain damage caused by the beating he received, but I don't think he is going to die there and then.
I believe that he will plough on, and Clementine will have to support him much like she did with Lee at the end of season one. The cliffhanger will end with Kenny and Clementine with the baby wondering what to do next. Then, Christa will make her appearance at the end. Doing it that way it will fuel much speculation over what will happen in season three.
Course Kenny will probably die in the opening minutes of the game as Omid did, but I do think he will get through current events.

I think you're right. He is becoming more and more unstable. Starts a lot of unnecessary fights with many people is the group. Maybe he does… moren't give the "tougher" decision any thought and just acts. Let out his anger because he has lost many of "his people", beating Carver to death for example.

About 60% of people like Kenny a lot. With Clem as the protagonist, I would say close to 90% would want her alive.

Possibly if you called for help, Kenny Distracted to shoot Rebecca, and thereby, it is easy to shoot him. Same with Luke.
