I understand people hating bad guys like Carver, Larry or the stranger who did horrible things and were constantly mean to you. But hating on a character like Sarah who was always nice to Clem and who helped her and offered to become her friend, it's just something that I don't get. It seems like people are hating her for who she is and not for her actions because she never did anything wrong. I believe that we can only judge people based on their actions and not on their personality or physical appearance. I know that it's just a video game but what's funny is that if it happened for real, most people would react like her if they witnessed the horrible death of their loved ones and if everyting that they had ever known was suddenely and brutally taken away from them. I doubt they would still go on killing walkers and trying to be badass as if nothing happened, especially if they were as young as her.
Now if you didn't like Sarah's character it is your right and I respect your opinion, but celebrating her death and being happy over the death of a character that wasn't evil or mean, I just don't understand it and I think that it's pretty disturbing and stupid. The amount and intensity of hate that I saw on youtube about her was ridiculous when her character didn't even deserve it.
You do realize that a feminist got her alleged "PTSD" from Twitter and not from actual warfare. Then some Veterans called out the Feminist w… moreho got her "PTSD" from Twitter, the feminist tries to get those vets fired....
See your best friend die right in front of you with a hole in his head the size of a golf ball spouting blood or be made fun of endlessly on the internet... Hrmmmm. You can't get PTSD from Twitter, that is the stupidest thing i have ever heard.
She did deserve her death. She was being a moron the whole way through. She was an annoying burden who would only make situations worse. The group is better off without her.

Clementine was kidnapped by a stranger, saw a decapitated head in a bag, killed a man, realized her parents were dead, and then lost Lee, her guardian all in the same day. She still followed his simple and concise instructions to the end
Sarah was slapped. And she was mad at her Dad for some reason, like she missed the five minutes of conversation preceding the slap. It was just a slap and she couldn't cut branches
You seem to not paying attention. She's not just some average kid. She's not like you and I guess you never met people like her if you talking the way you do.

Humanity. Morale. She's an able-bodied young woman, which is extremely important in near-extinction events. With support and training, she'd have grown into a competent survivor.
Well, not only was she sheltered, but it's likely that she had some sort of anxiety disorder. Neither of those apply to Clem so it's not fair to compare them. That's like yelling at a man with no legs because he can't run a marathon while other people can....

She helped Clem the first time we met her. She was brave when shouted at Carver "Stop hurting my friend" if he slaps Clem. She warned the group about walkers coming. And overall, she was just kind pacifist girl.
And consider what use YOU would be in 'an apocalypse'. It doesn't matter, because human life isn't determined simply by how tough they can be at their worst. There's already too many people in this world who devalue human life; don't let them drag you down with them.
She helped Clem the first time we met her. She was brave when shouted at Carver "Stop hurting my friend" if he slaps Clem. She warned the group about walkers coming. And overall, she was just kind pacifist girl.
I actually was okay with the idea of her dying at some point, since people will die eventually, I just thought she would have a fighting chance thanks to us. I honestly thought our gun lesson would come into play like with us finding her turned or shot in the head by her own gun depending on our choices. I even screamed out her name when she was ravaged by the dead in the second scenario, yet I was okay that she was gone, since I thought at least I did my best to save her along with Nick and fulfill my promise to Pete and Carlos to keep them safe.
Then after watching that infamous playing dead interview, I changed my views on most of episodes 3 & 4's structure and lack of quality, since it feels like the writers had it out for her since then. I mean could we have seen how other children felt about her during her time in Carvers group, more about her condition with Carlos, hen give her multiple deaths that amount to a different scene taking place in future episodes.
I mean even Ben had a shred of involvement in his last episodes that gave us enough to go on his situation and end his story full circle alongside Kenny's. And I can rationalize the hate on Bad luck Ben as well. (Not to say I hate him, I enjoyed his character arc's realistic play out since he was only a high school student. I actually understand where he comes from and feel a part of myself in him when I played season 1, even though my screw ups would not be that drastic.)
But with the hate on Sarah, a scared naive young girl who only wanted and eventually needed a friend like Clementine, I'm completely baffled by. I can see the points as to why she's hated, but even then she did help us regardless of our behavior when we needed it, and finding good people to surround yourself as a group is hard to come by. Then to watch her break down in the face of her loved ones being tortured and eventually killed in only a week. Just like another friend we still have in our group.
In the end I think back to how Lee acted as a good guy in season 1 at least in my plays. I took the time to understand and see the situation from another viewpoint of my fellow survivors that would argue against me or outright screw us over. I see Sarah and can't bring myself to hate her, I didn't even want to smack her in the trailer, I wanted her to survive because we were friends over that small period of time. I refuse to leave behind or give up on any of my group just as Clementine did in Crawford. Whenever I hear Kenny snap at Clem with a dying Sarita or loaded gun in his hands, I can only flashback to season 1 on the train and afterwards; I don't care what anger comes out. I can comprehend that in the end, regardless of how they handled their grief, both of them were friends in need of us in their darkest hours. And I was there to attempt to quell their pain.
Now I just wish her death was more emotional between her and Clem to say you can't help everybody, perhaps something along the lines of her committing suicide in some fashion, since she can't take the new world anymore without Carlos or any the friends she lost. It has taken a toll on her where she wants it to end and asks Clem to end the pain or let go for her own safety as a final act of friendship or compassion. I could see us in a situation similar to Jaime and Jane with Sarah asking for the gun, in a call back to season 1's Irene choice, then us refusing or allowing it would allow us to choose how she would die. Possibly with us allowing her to shoot herself, her allowing the walkers to rip her apart offscreen as we escape, or us being put in control of a similar situation to how Lee was shot by Clem. Except this time we witness it in front of our eyes with no cutting away to black. That last one could especially put Pete's words into full circle if done in a certain way.
"Sometimes you have to play a part even if it means people will hate you for doing it."
They already have come into play potentially when it concerns Kenny and Sarita's fate depending on your play through.
I think people like Mark and Jason are absolutely part of what's wrong with TWDG these days. Their comments, along with Greg's, are just disgusting. These people should not have anything to do with this game. TTG needs some new staff who will take TWDG and it's characters with more respect than these people. Such a shame.
I've met people like Sarah and it's extremely offensive to assume that people with mental disabilities would be unable to cut tree branches after being slapped. That's actually really mean, so stop that. Thank you

I think you generalising too much. There are such people, who 'would be unable to cut tree branches after being slapped' especially in a world of apocalypse. It's not offensive, it's the way things are. And I don't understand why would you find it mean, except for the chance that it deeply concerns you.

Sarah has arms. She's capable of cutting tree branches. She's a functioning human being. She never put in the effort to improve. She might have a disorder, but she's not helpless. She sure acted like it, though

From a physical point of view. But, you know, your hands won't move by themselves, it's brain that is responsible for that. Your body, no matter how healthy it is is basically useless if your brains' mechanisms don't work the way they supposed to. I'd advise you to learn the basics of сentral nervous system and mental disorders before continuing this conversation.

I've tend partially to blame Carlos for Sarah's condition, but I stopped after reading this.

If Sarah actually was disabled, it perfectly explains Carlos' behaviour.
Haha, look at you. I think I'll flag that comment. And the reason I even said "lol" was that you're giving Telltale more credit than they are worth. Gotta love the Telltale community, biased and attack anything that doesn't agree with them.

Poor girl, disabilities or not could have been handled so much better. I never was the biggest fan of her, but characters are important, and it is sad to add her to a list of (understandably insulting to many people) wasted things along with her dad, Nick, Carver and his community, parts of Clementine and an overall feeling of being human and not just -in Carver's words- lambs to the slaughter; walking plot devices there to be killed. I think there are better ways to make the points the writers have hammered into our heads as early as episode two.
I have Asperger syndrom. Technecly I am two years behind in maturity. I empathize with her as a result.
I am disappointed in TTG. They should ALWAYS HOLD THE MIDDLE GROUND IN PUBLIC SETTINGS REGARDING THE GAME!

She was still in shock due to Carlos hitting her and she was terrified by Carver.

Or it could explain an overly-protective father. Lee had the same approach with Clementine, remember?
i'm proud to say that your gay, BEN>
