I dont agree. Oh, he's great at acting like he's in charge, and he even showed some good leadership in the first episode at the drugstore, but he is very impulsive and reactionary. He acts first, thinks later. I would much rather be with someone who thinks things through, like Lee.
He knew Rebecca was in labor and he was on an important duty though. The thing is, even when Kenny's mental stability is fragile, which is o… morebvious after everything that has happened to him in such a short amount of time, he's more capable and reliable than others.

That part always pissed me off. "Oh you saved Duck on the farm, Defended me at the drugstore, Gave my kid and me rations, But disagreed with me ONCE? Fuck you, Lee."
Actually my cousin played through the game and helped Lilly, fought Kenny on the train, and was douchey to him the whole time. The only things he did to help Kenny were Killing Duck and also the kid in the attic so Kenny didn't have to, and killing Ben. He got the bro speech by Kenny in episode 4 and I'm like what -_- I played through to hear the bro speech for myself and did LITERALLY EVERYTHING Kenny asked me to and didn't get the bro speech like WTF
Lee: "I'm sorry for anything that I might of done to hurt you Kenny. It's impossible to go through life without causing some kind of hurt. Sometimes I wish I caused a little less"
Kenny: "You and me both doc"
The way things kep happening it seems that in spite of being unhinged a bit, Kenny is still all about the group. He might be jaded, mouthy and hurting but he's still looking out for them.
Luke is the road to Hell, paved with good intentions but he's the one not trusting people like Mike, butting heads with Kenny and banging Jane when he should be making sure the pregnant woman's not drawing a herd of Zombies without warning.
Yes both have done good and bad things...but Luke is proving that when the chips are down that he's looking out for his own interests.
Both times Sarah's life is put in harm's way...no pun intended...Luke's looking out for himself. Bolting out of the trailer the moment that plan is in action (which he was kicking himself for even if you save her) and the aforementioned Booty Call.
Kenny delivered a baby, watched over Rebecca and beat a few Zombies to death.
And the determinant departure in the cold, all that is in the end is another Kenny vs Luke choice. The end results...sadly remain the same. Kennys point of better shelter faster or Luke's letting Rebecca recover amount to the same end so...it's really hard to judge that one. All I can says is knowing how it can be when it's that cold, to me Kenny made more sense. It was at least a chance, and everyone, even Mike and Bonnie were saying how rough Rebecca was looking even before the kid was out.
Sad to say but she likely wouldn't have survived even in good conditions. Not without Carlos.
Yes! He has many flaws. Which is why I posted this in the first place. Every character has their flaws in the game. In the circumstance that their in, with the zombies... it is so hard to know what the right choice is and who the right team is! I get torn with Kenny because I don't think he is the best guy. He has got a hot temper that flares up quickly and he's got his mind made up about things and is hard to break from "His Way" which can often work in the teams favor because he comes off confident and passionate, but I feel like there is still something that makes me hesitant to side with him completely. I wish I knew the other characters a bit more to really know who i'd want to team with. Maybe we wont even get a choice! Thanks for you're posts.
Nor am I arguing that he is a bad person.
But people kind of are arguing he has no flaws: if you haven't noticed, on this forum if you me… morention one negative thing Kenny has done, people try to justify it.
I believe he is flawed. It's whether his fans really do that I doubt, because they defend him at every possible opportunity.
You are the only Kenny fan I have seen admitting he has flaws, and actually NAMING those flaws instead of just pretending you think it. For that, I have a great deal of respect for you.

If you're going that route, taking bad writing due to determinance as a character fault, then you must also think Kenny is a dick due to him never even asking where Matthew is.
Yes, he asks. But I still just don't feel anything towards him. I did it before, but now... Maybe it's because he doesn't have much spotlight in the latest episodes.
It may have disappeared for you, but I think the fact that he asked her how she was feeling says a lot.
Plus the fact that he's never sai… mored a bad word to her or about her, and has always tried to be a helpful as possible towards her.
Maybe that was just in my playthrough though, although I thought he asked how you were in each one.

Actually he only says "Screw her, let her stay!" during the bandit attack when Lee calls to Lilly to get in the RV. He only calls her a craz… morey bitch and demands that she be left behind after Lilly shoots Carley/Doug on the side of the road. Though he still probably wouldn't have cared if she hadn't managed to make it to the RV during the attack.
Kenny didn't know Lilly would shoot carley or whatever in order to try to protect the group. He just tried to abandon her.
In retrospect he should have left her. In retrospect he shouldn't have killed her father. In retrospect he should have made absolutely sure duck wouldn't get bitten and stay with him for the entire ordeal.
There's no point using the future as justification for past decisions except when they are truly directly related. That is to say, a decision like 'We don't have enough food' and then getting more food.
Let's leave this crazy bitch behind
Well, in hindsight, I find it extremely hard to disagree with him... RIP Carley...
Telltale should really have made this a choice.

Allright, if you want to look at it that way. I already made these points in another post on why I think he reacted the way he did.

Yeah, it really would be the turning point for me if a child is killed off just to make an angry guy even angrier.
When has that failed though?.
Luke in the other hand, despite having a plan in ep3, failed miserably and caused more trouble than anything.
That part always pissed me off. "Oh you saved Duck on the farm, Defended me at the drugstore, Gave my kid and me rations, But disagreed with me ONCE? Fuck you, Lee."
Kenny and I are bros to the end.
According to the wiki, 68% attempt to revive Larry (which is what triggers the door scene in Episode 3). So the majority are left for dead by Kenny.
Do you remember all the times Luke saved Clementine's life? He even cares for her a lot.
Shit why does everyone have to fight out of all the childish bullshit lol.

Do my eyes decieve me? CACTUS!! YOU'RE BACK!?!?

A lot of it(Kenny's relationship) appears to depend on what happens at the Meat Locker(you know the thing with the Salt-Licks.
Kenny. I like Luke, but I just... don't really care about him anymore. He's irrelevant for me now. His bond with Clementine just disappeared.
i hope kenny dies
Da'wwww, how thoughtful, it's magical!
This is indeed, reality.
kenny master race
Team Kenny
I was wrong, he says that after shooting.
But he does say 'screw her, let her stay' when leaving. Which shows he didn't just leave because he was i na rush: he would have waited for others.

Probably.
I'm just looking forward to him dying to see the Kenny fans overreact on this forum.
Wow.

Kenny has his faults, but I trust him much more as a leader.
All because I wouldn't help him murder Larry.
Yep
Not in episode 5
Something happens which paints Kenny in quite a bad light and it's a glitch? Yeah okay.
I think him punching me instead of talking him down is probably supposed to turn him against me, as was refusing to carry out his wish for Ben to die.
But at the same time, people say 'I like Kenny because he's flawed', and then ATTACK Luke for his flaws.
It just doesn't make sense. The only explanation is bias.
True. I misremembered, but my point still stands. He is openly fine with abandoning a woman who just tried to save their lives.
That's metagaming.

Wel, the boat plan failed pretty hard.
Kenny Plissken
Kenny is the... loud man with the beard?
Only because of Vernom though! nothing he had control over.
They're both just 'playing' leader.
Neither of them is actually being the leader of the group.
