I feel like wrong choices are not canon.

edited August 2014 in The Walking Dead

Just hear me out. After playing Walking Dead S1 and S2 all throughout I think there is actually a storyline that is supposed to be canon and one that is up to our decision to make it how we actually want. Sorry, but ending with Kenny living is what the story is supposed to be. After seeing that ending I actually see that Kenny really cared for Clementine and wanted for her to be safe. After seeing how bad Jane really was, I think that she is supposed to be dead. In any case at least we got our own endings. I actually have more respect for Kenny now than I had before.

You can hate on anything I have to say, but after playing this episode I really, really hate Jane and didn't want her to come back. Jane is not a good person at all, trying to completely destroy a man that's lost so much is really evil. Making everyone believe the baby was dead was just stupid. Sorry.

If that disagree button was still there it would be at about 50 now.

EDIT PLEASE READ: I'm actually very sorry for what I said about everyone's choices, but I cannot deny that Jane is a fucking bitch. It's just that Telltale broke me again and I went of on a rant after I finished playing this episode. At least they gave us a choice and I'm happy about it. Sorry again if I hurt anybody, it wasn't my intention. This is what Telltale does to you, they enjoy our tears. :/

  • What? That's your opinion i personally like the alone ending better, and there's not "wrong" choices.

  • "It's not like math Clem. Sometimes there's not a right answer."

  • What exactly is a "canon" ending?

  • There are only two choices in the game that in my mind I could never consider canon, Dropping/letting Crawford Oberson pull Ben to his death or letting Nick die in episode 2, I can never see those happening.

  • Well his ending is the Save Kenny and leave wellington so yup his ending is the canon one. Every other ending plain sucks

are you trolling or are you just a horrible person? can't tell.

  • I think the ending where you and Kenny make it to Wellington (At least I assume that's Wellington) is the canon one. I'm not sure which decision is canon though, staying or going with Kenny.

  • ah so you are a piece of shit as i thought. you ok with that? just like being an asshole when its really not even necessary right now?

The great part about this game is that everything in your own story is canon

  • It's canon that Clementine once met a man called Lee.

  • I've done every ending. And I think the ones where Kenny end are the most hopeful ones. He ends like he's always been - trying to keep Clem and the baby safe.

  • Whether she stays with Kenny or not, I'm happy with that ending. Not because Kenny is alive, because after what I saw what Jane did, I was convinced. Anybody not clear with what that bitch did? Instead of showing some sort of hope she makes it as if everything is over and raised tensions even higher. She did not help Clementine, I wish she never came back. She never had good intentions. Remember what Jane did to her sister? Jane is a heartless fucking bitch.

I can agree with that a bit. I'm glad they at least gave you a choice. I actually want Clementine's story to be over right now. I just want a happy ending for her. I know that Telltale will continue her story, but I can't stay worried about her fate. T_T

    Kenny is always right.

There is nothing canon. I got the Kenny ending, it's great. Walking off with my best bud, however it's not canon. It's just how I played the game. To call it cannon is like saying "My opinion is superior and my way of doing things is the right way" which isn't true. We all form our own stories and play how we play. Called free will, I don't think TTG is aiming to be a communist dictator over our game choices.

  • I have to say that I really liked my ending. My Clementine is still working on Jane and she is becoming a better person, and Kenny can finally rest with his family. His death brought me to tears, but even he agreed that I made the right choice.

Actually I agree. Jane was a bad person. Everytime she wanted to leave people to die. And that crazy shit she pulls at the end pretending the baby is dead? How anyone chose to save her over Kenny I cannot comprehend. I did not know the baby was still alive, though I did suspect it. The crazy ass bitch set the whole thing up, Kenny did not deserve to die. I did not trust her because of how she was acting, and I was pissed off that she left the baby to die. It's a real shame too because I was happy that she was around, I did not want the group to split up, but by that point the situation was fucked. I was slightly upset that I did not get to shoot her. How dare they presume that it was only Kenny whom should be shot. I suppose it would have been a waste of ammo.

  • When the decision came to either kill Kenny, or let him kill Jane, that decision was easy for me.
I knew Jane was only interested in herself, and would abandon Clementine at the next opportunity.
While Kenny, on the other hand, had put his life on the line to protect Clementine.
Plus, Lee and Kenny had been best friends in season 1, in my game.

And I also decided to go with him to Wellington.
After the 9 day trip, Kenny was back to the same person he was in season 1, which I was so happy to see.
And when it came to either go with Kenny, or to enter into Wellington without him, I chose to stay with him.
I hadn't abandoned him all this time, why start now?

It was the kind of ending I had hoped for.
I honestly hope Kenny is the next playable character in season 3.
I want to see TWD though his eyes.

I wouldn't want to play as Bonnie or Mike.
Both of them were willing to betray the group, for some guy who was going to rob the group of everything, and kill them if necessary.
To me, their nothing but traitors.
    And I hate traitors!

  • Agreed. Clem has been through too much & we just KNOW things are going to get worse for her. I want her to just keep AJ and be happy. Maybe, then we can move on to other people...other counties maybe.
