I think they are fairly trustworthy considering that they have a kid with them. From what little dialogue the kid had he seemed to be normal and not some mentally scarred sadistic young one so I think that his parents are good. Also, the way that the woman hugged Jane made her seem really grateful in a genuine way so they should be good imo. I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens; that is, if TTG even decides to continue that storyline.
Doesn't mean much for me, as I am alone with Kenny and AJ.
I loved that hug scene betwen Patricia and Jane lol. hope they will be on season 3 (exept the dad, i don't like him e.e)
I didn't really let them in, I don't know, something about the guy just seemed a little off, almost like he was lying.
I let them in. I was half expecting that kid to go "lol these r not even me parents" and for shit to go down, but nah. The hug that woman gave Jane seemed pretty genuine so I'm really hoping they're trustful, but something is telling me they're not.
They seemed cool, I mean Randy didn't just pull out his gun and shoot us. Besides, Gill likes our hat.
Well the kids black with 2 white parents, I just assumed he was adopted or had a similar thing going on to Clementine and Lee. If it turns out they're not really his parents-... I really don't know I'm so used to Telltale throwing off the wall shit that they'll make me think that way and then it turns out he's not really with them willingly.
They seemed mostly fine, but there were a few odd things I noticed. For one, the guy insists that he's a father, but his kid was much, much darker-skinned than both him and his wife. He could easily be adopted or a stepson (or just magical genes at work), though, so I don't necessarily disbelieve him. Secondly, when he was talking and the woman made some kind of strange grab for his arm, and he shoved her off with an irritated look and kept talking. That was... idk, just odd.
What didn't sell me on them being untrustworthy was the gun part. That he had a gun was so played up it baffled me, because literally everyone has a gun in this game. Sure it was concealed when we were talking to him outside, but what was he supposed to do? Whip out his gun and say, by the way, I'm armed? Yeah, that'd go well.
The kid seemed okay though. Complimenting the hat earns instant brownie points.
My 1st play through ended like that. I did get the impression that Jane was leaving Clem to be in charge. Even Randy was talking to Clem like the boss.
So in a way Carver was right Clem is like him he even hints that he wanted Clem to take over some day.
On my first playthrough I let them in, and it felt okay to me until the point when music did this strange evil noise.
I decided not to let them in simply because I wanted to be an asshole.
So that's their names...
I think they are reliable! there is nothing wrong with that man to be armed. in this post-apocalyptic world that is something necessary. and also, it is good to have more people to share and help rebuild the place.
Patricia's the one who hugged Jane BTW.
He may have been a father before the outbreak? And then met the kid along the way.
Yep, also totally possible. I'm more put off by that weird gesture by the woman I mentioned above than the father part.
Haha!
I'll make this final in my first savegame. that final conversation between the two, crying in front of the wall was so emocional! I don't know if this is the most "secure" end for Clem and the baby. but it is certainly the most beautiful! xD
Have you ever seen a White male and a Black female have a baby?
Well at least youre honest.
Yes. It's uncommon for the child to have darker skin than both parents, but genes are crazy and it's not out of the question. Like I said, I'd believe he was the kid's father without much trouble if he clarified it.
Yeah I know.
Maybe she wanted him to stop, but he didn't want to?
He said I'm his father, he didn't said we are his parents, she could be someone he met after he had a son, maybe the mother died to the zombies, so many possibilities.
Definitely not trustworthy.
The woman Patricia tried grabbing the mans hand and he pushed her away. He also had his his gun from the behind. And they said that it was his son but the boy is black and his mom is light skinned. Maybe they adopted him, who knows. I definitely know the guy for sure is bad but I'm not sure about the other two.
I got a feeling that the mom and kid are being held against there will.
I don't know about you all, but I certainly did not trust the family or the "father". He said they weren't armed and he said that AFTER I noticed that he had his hand behind his back. In the world of the Walking Dead, you don't trust anyone when the first thing out of thier mouth is a lie. Besides, after eveything that has happened, I really could not trust anyone anymore. Especially one who has lied. Plus something about the tone of his voice and something about him did not sit right with me. He pushed the woman he had with him. In games, my instincts about people are usualy good. In season 3, this guy will be trouble. I knew that it would be better off if he was away. I just hope no more big groups are formed. Jane is right, big groups are bound to fall apart.
If they are featured in season 3 I hope the dad won't be the end of Jane. I would be so sad. T^T
Clem still has a gun. I let them in.
It's The Walking Dead. Everyone dies in the Walking Dead! Clementine will have to die at some point. That episode will be sad, if they show it. Jane will die as well. I wonder if the family appeared at that other place that Kenny takes you to?
One thing that felt off was they also appeared almost immediately after you arrived at the camp.
I agree that the gun thing was over emphasized. Yes, it is important to notice he had a gun, but why should we act like that is suspicious? Also, I didn't notice the boy had a gun, but Clem does. At least in this new family the father appears to be in charge and has taken responsibility for the groups safety. Jane seems to follow Clem's lead, leaving it up to her to decide on whether the newcomers are allowed in.
I love Clementine, but we have to keep in mind that she is still a child, and just because she has been through a lot does not mean she has the maturity to make real decisions
Clearly they adopted him after his real parents died. That's like how Lee effectively became Clem's father.
I think they're going for the idea that this man may have the potential to become a new Carver. This is something I don't really buy, because in the end it's a lot more practical to enlist the help of fellow survivors to build a community rather than just have two people attempt to hold onto an entire department store.
Besides, the boy provides hope that Clem may fall in love...
On the contrary, Clementine's fully proven herself to have the maturity and decisiveness that other adults lack. I get the feeling from this ending that she may be able to rein in Jane's sociopathic tendencies and prevent this man from attempting to become another megalomaniac.
I may not consciously pick up on everything, but my instinct certainly does cause wen a group of people was walking towards the area my first thought was not 'Oh let's let them in' My first thought was that these people were not trustworthy.
Option 1 = Gill is adopted
Option 2 = Patricia did the same thing as Rebecca (ehuehueheuhe)
Option 3 = He's crazy and wanna use these 2
And did Patricia said that she was his mom anyway? I don't remeber
The adoption point has been repeated in this thread several times and is valid IMHO.
We can only draw conclusions from the encounter either way, because very little was said between them. Was the boy adopted before the outbreak? Did they find him at some point? And to me, both parents look white so he may be his son and then the father remarried, or vice versa.
I think that may be a bit much. Clementine didn't even show real affection for Duck, and the encounter between her and this new boy was very cold and awkward for her. Based on my first play through so far she just shot her best friend, Kenny, and is now with someone I still worry might leave her.
Granted the third season may involve some sort of romance drama, especially with the whole Jane and Luke debacle of this season, which was not played out much. Thus, I cannot totally discount that claim, but I am not convinced that we will see a Clem romance.
They looked sinister to me. The way the kid complimented Clementines hat reminded me of Michelle and how he had a gun though I believe they said they were unarmed.
Right, everyone will die, but will Tell Tale be able to attach us emotionally to another character when that happens? I am sorry, but if Clem had died in this season I am not sure I care enough for Jane to follow after her.
There were so many characters in this season, that died so quickly I could not get attached. Look at Rebecca. When I shot her I it did not bother me. What gripped me was that I had Clem do it.
One of the reasons is because I never liked Rebecca. She was an annoyance and a hindrance to the group.
Except that his "Father" had gun at his butt,
Clugill ship anyone?
