Clemetine's Bad Dream

What was that? Is Lee dead or isn't he? EMOTIONS in this scene...

Comments

  • He is dead. O_O

  • Yeah no. He's alive. He roundhousekick teleported Clem into the Van, talked to her, and then made teleported her back.

  • It was a flashback to S1E3.

But us controlling Clem this time.

  • I think it isn't flashback, Clem and Lee were saying another things in S1E3 that in this dream.

  • Pretty sure it was a flashback from Season 1 Episode 3: Long Road Ahead, the choices you made in that episode made the dream different, really only with a certain character...

  • I think TT really wanted to give us a perspective from Lee's own head about that whole situation. Lee wad a great man there should be more people that think like that and just try to do good for the sake of humanity.

  • Of course! He was the perfect leader and knew how to be a guardian.

  • Schrödinger's Lee. He's dead and alive. But no really he's dead. I think that was supposed to be dream. Still a nice scene.

  • Not quite though, because I left Lilly to die and she was in the RV. I thought that was on purpose so I'd know it was a dream, not a flashback.

  • That was such a great scene. Listening to "Alive Inside" while having Clem's perspective and knowing what would come to pass made revisiting the scene pretty heavy. I couldn't bear to ask Lee to say that he would never leave Clem since it wasn't his choice. And asking him if he was ever angry enough to kill someone still leaves me wondering if he really did commit murder.

  • Well I don't think he ever denied and I'm sure he had even admitted to what he had done. That being said for someone who had been on his way to prison for murder before all this he seems quite stable. In fact more stable than at least most of the others. Although many of his actions are decided by you in the first game. Though I'd still put him as one of the more stable characters. Though I wonder how he would have been had he survived the first season. Would he have become a more broken character as time went by or would he keep going strong.

  • He's dead, I think the writers just wanted to bring us back to base thinking about some "better" time when Clem didn't have to make all these tough decisions. His little speech legitimately made me play the episode a lot softer than I would have beforehand haha. Well, so much as is possible with what happened just after.

  • He didn't lose people he truly cared about, besides his family, but he wasn't close to them. Kenny lose everything, which is why he is broken. If Lee had lost Clem or Clem died, then yeah, he might go crazy.

  • At first when it happened, I honestly thought that Season 2 and the last two episodes of Season 1 had all been a bad dream Clem had. And Lee's insight was really amazing, it definitely helped influence the ending choices I made. It explained a lot too.

  • I actually would've liked if TT made a plot twist like this but it would cause ALOT of negative feedback and controversy.

  • It really would have been nice, making Clem go back in time, and possibly stopping everyone from dying and make the right choices.

  • Well as well as his family he also loses Carly/Doug. If you had Carly it hints there was something between them maybe that they just liked each other but still. And Clementine does get kidnapped and put in danger in the first season. But yeah Kenny has lost a lot. Seems a run of bad luck for him having his son being bitten and then his wife killing herself. Then when he finds someone new she ends up dead as well. Though I guess that's the way things work in the Walking Dead.

To be honest I'd have hated if they had made it so the end of the first season and the entire second was all just a dream. It would make what we'd been through in the story so far to be meaningless to the plot.

A friend of mine just spoiled to me that Lee would be in the episode! I was so upset at him!! but at the same time I was so happy because I was gonna see Lee again! hahah

  • That's what I thought. As much as I really loved some of the new characters in season 2, it would've been really awesome if we could still just be with the original group. Mostly, just be back with Lee.

It really would have been nice, making Clem go back in time, and possibly stopping everyone from dying and make the right choices.

  • She didn't appear for me when I used my save from Season 1 when I didn't let her come with the group in the RV.

  • it was a memory and the lee talking to her was more what she saw lee as.
