[SPOILERS] So, about that new family...
Seriously the fuck?
I'm talking about that new family from Carver's camp.
Father is White, Mother is yellowish, and their kid is black.
Maybe they're lying?
Do you think they'll make some sort of appearance in the upcoming season 3?

He could be adopted, but yeah, I'm just going to assume it was a hint he was lying.
I think it was meant to be a parallel to Lee and Clementine. How he may not be the actual father, but it doesn't mean the the three of them hadn't come together as a family anyway.
They don't seem related to each other. Unless they adopted each other or something they are most likely bandits.
Mixed ethnicities. It's really common nowadays. Nothing to be surprised about.
Dude Engage your spoiler warnings plzzzzz :P
Change the title please, seeing that it contains spoilers for those who haven't played the ep yet
After he said it's their kid I assumed they just met after all this happened and think of him as a son. Or adopted before the ZA happened. Anyway, no way he was going to 'trick us', it's just stupid, too obvious.
Didn't like his violent gesture towards the woman, sent them packing.
If he was mixed then the kid would have had A LOT lighter tone of skin.
Neither of his 'parents' were black. The father was extremely pale white with ginger hair, whilst the mother was... Asian I think (off the top of my head)? The kid clearly was very dark. That for me was the tip off that we're meant to see "my boy" combined with the other subtle actions (reaching behind for his gun until you make the decision, swatting the woman's hand away) as them being bad mojo.
He might have black family on one of parent's side. It's totally possible, I lived in a very mixed island once and I knew plenty of black couples with white kids and vice versa. Nothing is impossible with genetics.
He reminded me of a white carlos haha
Am I the only one that has no idea what you guys are talking about? Are you refering to the Jane ending or something?
To be honest, I don't even care if they were 'bandits.' Practically everyone in the wilderness in this series needs a gun to survive - particularly Lee - and it's much more practical to recruit the aid of a family rather than make enemies out of them. Plus I'm not going to abandon a child.
I just put my gun on their face and said "Leave".
Nothing to thinking for me
I think you're trying to look too deep into this rather than take it at face value. The way the scene is written I think we're supposed to piece together the clues that the man is lying. If the child was of a lighter skin tone, even if he was still black, then it would be more ambiguous.
Yep, when you go with Jane to Howe's, a family(?) of three comes over and you get to choose if you let them in or send them away.
Meh, so they adopted the kid, The whole point is you keep trying with people. Also kid respects the hat, they can stay
Oh, i see, thanks for the info.
He had Carlos's model. XD
Exactly but he acted suspicious really suspicious when The woman was trying to hold his hand , then he hesitated with an angry look , he was definitely lying and acting coy.
Second I didn't choose ,Jane chose for me and I am proud of her ;') so much for a unstable woman.
He's quite clearly Hispanic.
So you abandoned a young boy? To be honest, him lying and being tough seemed like a skill he'd picked up from survival - something I'd need for a better community. Besides, this is not like Carver's situation where I'm caught in the middle of some skirmish between two groups. Clementine is better off with more human company than just soulless Jane.
Damn, quite a lot of cynical and heartless people here! Seems Jane rubbed off on you more than you thought...
I let the family in not just because it was better than letting them starve, but because having them as allies would be much better in the long-term than as enemies. Besides, what's the problem with the 'father' having a gun when he enters the store? It's a huge place with enough supplies for everybody, and Clementine can hold her own. The 'lone wolf' lifestyle only really works when you're constantly on the move, not when you're sticking in one spot.
Actually I let the timer run out to see what Jane would do and she accepted the group I would never forsake a child in help I have empathy
Second The guy really looked suspicious not about the gun he needs it to defend. If the women is his wife he ought at least hold her hand , right?
Plot twist: It's Mike's kid., Father is Carlos's younger brother, And Mother is Sarita's sister.
And we'll meet them in Season 3 one way or another.
That'll be 5 dollars.
Because he said he was unarmed when he had a pistol on him. He lied about them being a family... And he was trying really hard to get it, but almost... too hard. Like the type of person that would take it anyway if he was refused.
I let them in, but I regret it. Still, I don't change my first playthrough. Watch Jane get killed by them -_-
They coud be lying, the boy could be their son... I was just stating that it was totally possible genitically wise. Anyway, without the answer, we cannot know who is right and who is wrong, so I'll just wait and see (I don't have any opinion on it) but I respect your opinion![:) :)](https://community.telltale.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
I don't see how u cannot invite them in... either u try to trust them and have a good outcome, or u have 3 people out there who know where u are, only seen two and are ready to sacrifice everything to attack a damn broken base like Howe.... so just invite them in and hope for the best, u couldnt fight them off anyway
If they didn't have a kid with them, I would probably not have let them in. But if they've kept him alive that long, they can't be all that bad.
The young boys name is Adam.........
Adam was the name of the Strangers Son......
Bum Bum Bummmm!!!!!
Throws salt-lick and runs away
Did they use Molly's model for the woman? My first thought when I saw her...
Carlos' model for the father, and Molly's for the mother, the boy is the stranger's son.
I assume they came from a group with black parents, and the son died and they adopted him.
Guys. I'm pretty sure that dude is the father, the mother of that child is dead and that other woman is just with them.
I didn't let them into the camp, and if they are lying and decide to come back Clem and Jane will be ready.
I trust them, I let them in. I didn't even realize the kid is much darker than his parents, but I guess he was just adopted.![:) :)](https://community.telltale.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
We're making something here, guys. Come on.
Lee wasn't Clem's father. Clem's not AJ's sister. Rebecca was not Clem's mother. Kenny is not Clem's uncle or AJ's dad. Yet they all considered each other 'family' because of the bonds they shared, not because of genetics.
Even if they were strangers prior to the apocalypse, the fact remains that this man and woman have been taking care of a child. If they really had been just exploiting him, the option where you turn them away wouldn't have focused on the boy looking genuinely hurt by Clem's coldness.
In the end, it goes down to the boy. Are you really going to turn away a starving child just because you don't trust his parents?
"But what if we are dangerous" <--- hint?
