[SPOILER!!!] ****/***** will die in Season 3

edited September 2014 in The Walking Dead

Hey,

did you guys realised too that Jane or Kenny (depend on your choices) will die in Season 3 Episode 1 or 2?
Because everytime you have the chance to save someones life, he/she will die soon or later anyways. (for example: Ben, Carlie, Sarah, Alvin...)
It would be too much work for telltale, because there would be too many variables. They would have to tell a different storyline every Episode.
And I think if you ended up alone with AJ in the end you will never see Kenny or Jane again.

Of course this only will happen if we still play Clementine in Season 3 [I hope so]

What do YOU think?

Dude if you had the Season 2 ending with Kenny, I think you would trust him again.
    Try it :)

I'll be glad if I never see either of them again, now that I've gotten the lone wolf ending. Christa or Lilly need to show up soon. I can honestly trust them more than I can trust season 2 Kenny or Jane.

  • Going by Telltale's track record that does seem to be the case, yes. But maybe they'll surprise us.

Though, on my first playthrough, I'm alone with the baby so I guess it doesn't really matter for that one. Will matter plenty for my other playthroughs though.

  • Pretty obvious that Kenny dies no matter what. I'm not 100% sure about Jane "dying".

  • I wish for a meet up between Kenny and lily

  • I do trust kenny thats why i got on my 1st try the kenny wellington ending where me the player aka me playing as clem and aj stayed at wellington alot of people died for clem and aj to get there so i followed kennys wishes and stayed there so he would be happy im happy knowing kenny is gonna survive happy knowing the only people alive he can trust and care about are safe in wellington i wonder if kenny will come back to visit clementine or something but overall nothing can beat the kenny endings

  • They will cause you can also have neither. if it was one or the other there might be a shot but not now

  • Maybe...
because the woman said they will maybe accept new members in a few months. So I think if Kenny survives and is still around Wellington he might be back in Season 3.

  • They're determinant now. So, yeah, I agree. The most telltale keep a determinant character alive is for about two episodes. It sucks, Clem and AJ* have a far better chance of making it.

    • I think? Not sure if there's ending where he doesn't make it.
  • But overall even through thats is true in these games i hope kenny will atleast be around for 3 episodes tops since hes a awesome person

  • Lets hope Telltale doesnt write off determinant characters immediately. Let our choices have lasting effects please, or at least for a few episodes like Carley/Doug.

  • You read my mind a hour after i beat the episode i thought maybe kenny will join wellington and well have a couple month timeskip or atleast he will come back to see if theres any open spots 2 greats minds think alike i guess

  • I'll do it eventually, since I just have to see the other endings. But when it comes time for season 3, I'm going with my original ending. No regrets, and no tolerance for bullshit, from Kenny or anyone.

  • Don't give up hope yet.

  • Jane starting off one storyline and Kenny starting off another and both being in different locations for a long time would realllly make the game better for a lot of people. They've heard our bitchings that our choices haven't mattered and it's the exact same story no matter what you say or do. So maybe if they finally take a chance and make three separate storylines for Season 3, it'd give the entire series more replayability. Or maybe they'll just be lazy and keep instantly killing off determinant characters.

I went with Kenny and his scene was amazing, but all I can say is... RIP Kenny. I am sad because no matter what, he will die somehow now because Telltale is lazy.

  • Don't you fools get it! They're determinant that's how ya die!

But seriously, I'd be cool if Clem's story just ended now so we don't undo everything

I think the story will start fresh, so we won't even see them. But if it continues as Clem's story, then they will probably die in the first episode. Not looking forward to it :(

  • I hope kenny lives through the season which i have high hopes for since i picked him over jane and stayed at wellington for his wishes and overall i hope atleast he makes it through most of the season but im gonna hope he makes it through season 3

    Don't give up hope yet.

  • It's possible for them to both survive, with minimal extra work for TellTale. All it needs is a reason for you to leave them in EP1, and get stuck away from them. Maybe you go hunting for supplies...'oh no something goes wrong and you can now be in a generic wood/town/city with a couple of changes in dialogue to say where you are.'

You get back at the last episode and they're there. Only two small parts of two episodes would need to be measurably different.

  • What would happen in Season 4 then :))

If the Storyline of Clem doesn't end it would be still much work for telltale. I dont think this will happen.

  • It would make the game to big. Even Japanese visual novel with mostly text-based wouldn't dare to do it. The most they could do is different endings or events.

  • Well things would get sticky there. You can't really play the same trick twice. It could start that way though, but you can never make it back for some reason; perhaps you're kidnapped and taken a long distance, or you need to save someone and that keeps taking you further away from where you started. Then they're still alive but don't have to bee seen again, or the reunion can wait until the FINAL episode.

I think it's unlikely it'll happen like this. I'm just pointing out, there are ways TellTalle could continue Clems story without having to kill off Jane or Kenny if they really wanted to.

  • Yeah, I've noticed that too. But I think we will play another Character in Season 3

  • Yes. They will both die. It happends to all of them. If there's an option for them to die, they will die shortly after anyway.

  • i love your comment.

  • How about we hope that TellTale will make fans happy and not kill Kenny and Jane right away

  • I'll gladly go back and save Jane again, just to see her die in S3.

  • As far as we know Molly is still alive :D

  • Completely agree, if there's a possibility that a character will die but you choose to save them then they will die later on anyway... I think that this is Telltales way of erasing all characters so the new series can be a fresh start.... I honestly don't know how I am going to wait until s3 is released;_;

  • Spoiler!!! Clementine probably won't be in season 3! Atleast not as protagonist.

  • Oh My God! [SPOILER!!!] **Jane/Kenny will die in Season 3

You DON'T put something like that in a title! What's the point of the spoiler alert if you're already spoiling it!

  • Yes, I don't think it would really be possible for characters who have a chance of dying to be kept alive for any significant time longer. If they did it for a lot of them there would be just take too much time to be writing up multiple scripts and actually "drawing" up the animation. Obviously the best way to do it is to make less characters determinant. Sarah, Nick & Luke are probably the best three examples of who shouldn't have been killed off in season 2.

  • This is assuming that they make season 3 center around Clementine.

  • If you leave Kenneth at the car or at Wellington he will kill himself. At least, that is the impression I got after seeing the ending where Clem shoots him during the fight.

As for Jane, I feel we might get another "I got real lucky" thing: Jane will "sacrifice" herself to save Clem from the father of the family you invite/don't invite, or just disappear for a few episodes if you left her at the car.

    Why?

  • Unless Telltale decides to not make being determinant a death sentence, yeah. It's for this reason that part of me doesn't want to see them again.
