You are wrong on so many levels.
1) Idc about the Russians translation. . . they initiated the gun fight by drawing guns. Because Arvo is… more a little baby who can't persuade his friends to put their guns down, doesn't change the circumstance.
2) Nothing was stolen from them in most playthroughs. . . if anything they should be thanking us for NOT stealing their things.
3) Clearly, that was not the only reason they fired. Kenny/ Clem shot a member of their own group . . .so I don't think that would have initiated anything.
Who knows, Arvo isn't armed during the shoot out, so it seems like it was his only weapon, and it would be important for everyone in the group to be armed, thus the gun would be valuable. Besides, I'm sure that ending was just lazy writing from Telltale, much like how Kenny blames Clem for Sarita's death even if you don't cut her arm off.
Except that my Clem didn't steal from him. We gave back his stuff and let him go. He was probably hiding it for his own use when we saw him … moreand then just used us as scapegoats when his group noticed it was missing. I mean, he told them we robbed him when we didnt, and I doubt he was talking about the gun Jane didn't give back cuz no way they would risk getting into a firefight with armed strangers cuz of one dinky gun.
Yes, in the moment, sure, I can understand that. But he shot Clem 2 days after the fact. If he knew enough to pump her chest that means he must have known her heart had stopped. You dont come back from that on your own. So if she was moving that can only mean she was a walker. The fact that he didn't realize that on his own and went as far as to maliciously shoot an unarmed little girl says a lot about him.
Pretty much, yes. Just like how Lilly was convinced she could've saved Larry if Kenny hadn't interfered. Just like how Kenny thought Sarita … morecould've been saved if Clem hadn't cut her arm off. People become irrational and stupid when their loved ones are lost, we've seen it before.
Sure, Luke might be alive, but he shoots Clem no matter how you treat him and no matter what you do at the truck scene. He blames Clem cuz he is too stupid/delusional to realize that his sister turned into a walker and then maliciously shoots an unarmed little girl. So yeah, Kenny was right about him.
No, what was he right about? They did find a place and it did have food in it. Kenny had been abusing the kid from the start and thats why h… moree kept trying to run away. Just like Mike said, if Kenny hadnt been hurting and scaring the kid, maybe he would have settled down and Luke might be alive.
Same. I hate Arvo going into Episode 5. AND STILL I was nice to him the whole episode. I told Kenny to stop every time. I went to talk to him. I always stood up for him. And he still shoots me for absolutely no reason. And it was a "kill" shot. Could have shot Clem in the leg but nope went for the heart.
My Clem was practically a pacifist the whole game, and she' forgiven people for some awful, horrible things. However, Arvo has sealed his fa… morete at this point. He better not come anywhere near her and any other PCs if he knows what's good for him. Bonnie and Mike, too.
Aww boo hoo you lost your sister, not like everyone else has lost someone they love... oh wait yes they have!
I'm sorry but that's not a good reason. Is he just not supposed to feel any emotion for the death of his (supposed) sister? Is he not allowed to feel bitter like Kenny and Lilly or even become as irrational as them? She was probably the only family he had, he definitely wasn't originally from America, he has no idea what happened to his family. People just don't instantly bounce back from the death of a loved one.
I just had to point that out, I'm sorry if I somehow offended someone.
I dont think any of that would have happened if Kenny hadnt been trying to beat him to death. The kid was getting more and more agitated judging from the way he kept glaring at Clem. I dont think he trusted her, knowing she was pretty much at Kenny's side. It was horrible what he did since my Clem kept trying to help him but if Kenny had let up on him, I really do think things would have been different.

You are dead wrong. And I dont understand how you came to that conclusion since it makes no sense. He wasn't glaring at Clem cuz Kenny was mean to him, he was glaring at her cuz he blamed her for shooting his sister. Cuz even if Clem went against Kenny and tried to be nice to him, and even if she lets them go, he still shoots her. If it was just about how Kenny treated him, then why only shoot Clem and not Mike & Bonny? How did he know Clem was "at Kennys side" if she reacted to Kenny the same way as Mike and Bonnie?
But even if you were right, and he shot, and I repeat, an unarmed little girl who didn't rob him, and who tried to stop Kenny from beating him, just cuz she is in the same group as Kenny then he is still scum and Kenny was right about him.
I dont think any of that would have happened if Kenny hadnt been trying to beat him to death. The kid was getting more and more agitated jud… moreging from the way he kept glaring at Clem. I like him too. I'm disappointed mostly because the finale just turned him into a plot device to show that Kenny was going crazy. The whole reason we had the dialogue options to tell Kenny to stop hurting him is so the player would end up hating him even more later on when he shoots Clementine. It was just a cheap trick to send off Arvo, Bonnie, and Mike. In my opinion that was pulled off terribly.
I thought that in the last episode they were setting it up so Arvo and Clementine might become friends. (Some of the dialogue options implied this.) Him hating her for shooting his sister was dumb seeing as she turned into a zombie and that we never got to interact with him to clear that up was even stupider.
Opinions about a release date that no one knows the answer too are ALOT different than opinions of a past event with reputable facts to back it up. Hope you see the blatant difference there.
I'm not a hipster, it's called opinions kirb, remember when you predicted episode 5 would release in October? You stuck with your gut, and I respected that, could you please respect the opinions of people who like Arvo?
I see you are nit picking now. Not my point. I fully understand why Arvo was upset about his sister and his group were killed. He had every right to be upset and be in mourning for a few days but at the same time he blamed OUR GROUP and more specifically Clem, where as the MAJORITY of the blame should go on himself. Just a regular kid who thinks he is privileged and never wrong, kind of realistic actually.
Aww boo hoo you lost your sister, not like everyone else has lost someone they love... oh wait yes they have!

I am too. I think he was just misunderstood. Yeah, he shouldn't have shot Clem, but that might have just been an accident anyway. I'm sure he was nervous.
He was not misunderstood. Might have just been an accident? Why on earth can't people on here create an argument/opinion without having to make up facts. It was no accident buddy.
I am too. I think he was just misunderstood. Yeah, he shouldn't have shot Clem, but that might have just been an accident anyway. I'm sure he was nervous.
Oh and fuck Mike too. I liked Mike up until he put a fucking gun in Arvos hands. Leaving I can understand, and could have forgiven had he not taken the supplies. But giving that shitbird a weapon is inexcusable.
He was not misunderstood. Might have just been an accident? Why on earth can't people on here create an argument/opinion without having to make up facts. It was no accident buddy.
I like Arvo. I don't hate or dislike any character unless they're Stranger-level or Saint Johns-Level. Arvo was a teenage boy who got robbed, of at least of his handgun if not his sister's medicine, likely had a deteriorating group, lost his parents, had a problem with his leg, his sister was ill and screamed at night without her medicine and he likely was the main contributor to helping her stay alive sometimes. His group wasn't intending to kill Clem's group until things got heated and they pulled up their guns. Even Natasha, his sister, wanted to back off once guns were pulled. He hid medicine that his sister needed, likely because the medicine was multi-purpose and the others were stealing it. Or he planned to get away from his group with his sister. Probably hotwire that car.
Then he's taken captive, thinks his sister was alive (dialogue proves this) and shot in the face by Clementine. His group was butchered, he's held captive by Kenny, doesn't want to see anymore people dead, and even offers his own supplies to the group that butchered his sister. He literally didn't have to do that. He probably could've gotten off scott-free. He sobs an entire night tied up, and determinantly Kenny can fucking knock him out cold with his gun, and later as they cross the ice, he runs, afraid of Kenny and then he gets his face knocked in for doing damn near nothing. Though he does shoot Clementine, he's kind of broken by that point. Maybe he wanted revenge for his sister. Maybe break-up the group by hurting the kid? Dunno.
Arvo might exaggerate the truth, but if his group had found out he was hiding medicine on them for his sister? He'd probably have ended up killed or her in danger. It was what he believed to be a logical solution. If this wasn't the ZA, he could probably have tried to teach Clementine Russian, or she could've taught him English.
Kinda disheartening to see people say they'd shoot a kid.
You can look at every characters actions and find justifications. As I already mentioned in above posts, Arvo had no right to be mad at anyone but himself. HIS group initiated the fight. HIS group fired first. A teenage boy who has been living in the ZA for 2 years now should know better.
People. I respect your opinion, but people on here confuse opinions with facts. People who support Arvo write their own stories and give him justifications for doing everything wrong. Fact is, the kid is a ignorant teen that deserved every beating Kenny put on him.

Because think about it. In the beginning, what if the russian group had murdered all of our group. Then they took us captive because we were just a kid and didn't have any part in it. If I were in that situation, I would act the exact same way as Arvo did. (Maybe except for shooting Clem)
I understand that he was angry at Clem because she shot his sister. My point is this: Kenny was abusing him so much that he just compounded the kid's rage. I saw a translation where he said that Kenny was pure evil. If Kenny hadn't been doing that to him, if he had treated his decently like Mike and Clem were urging him to do, maybe he wouldn't have been filled with enough anger to shoot someone. I feel like he took his anger out on her because Kenny wasn't standing there in front of him. That is my interpretation and its not "dead wrong". Actions have consequences as we have seen over and over and this was one.

You know Arvo was just a kid. THere was no need to.... AHAHAHAHAHA! Fuck Arvo I hope he falls in a well, and when Lassie comes to investigate his pathetic crying; she eats his face.
Comments
1) Luke was the first one to draw his gun actually.
2) Jane stole the gun. And if anything, that scene was simply lazy writing, like how Kenny blames Clem even if you don't cut off Sarita's arm.
3) They heard someone shoot a gun. I'm sure anyone would've started shooting to defend themselves if they heard a gun go off during a stand off.

I wish Bigby Wolf did the beating on him instead of Kenny
Bigby would give him the worse beating of his life.
Kenny was right, he WAS a f*ckin' shitbird!

I always thought Kenny was not level headed, and he wasn't, but the one time Kenny shows restraint its to this kid! I wish he beat him to a pulp.
We should of had the option to kill him in the beginning. Would have added a sense of achievement.
Every character is a plot device! LOL he was never a major character in the story and he still isn't. It was not a cheap trick.
