Which season did you prefer?
I'll start by saying I enjoyed both seasons, But you will like one more then the other. I liked season 1 more.
Season 1 Ep2 was an amazing episode in my eyes, Wondering why we couldn't see Mark, Why the barn was locked. Then you find Mark with his legs cut off and realise they eat people. I ran down those stairs so fast to stop Clem eating.
Ep3 was great also. Wondering how we would deal with Duck. Katjaa's unexpected death and hearing a stranger talking on the supposed broken walkie
Ep5, Kenny's supposed death, Fighting through a group of walkers to the hotel, Talking to the Stranger, Blacking out and walking up with Clem, saying goodbye.
Season 2 I liked ep3, How would we escape? Kenny gets beaten to near death, Getting revenge on Carver, Carlos dying all of a sudden.
Ep4, Finding out Sarah's fate, Nick's shocking death, Sarita's fate, The baby being born.
Ep5, Choice of Jane or Kenny's death, Leaving Kenny/Jane, Luke's unexpected death, Bonnie/Mikes betrayal, Clem's flashback, Ending based on the choices you made.

You can't really compare those two in my opinion. Season one was the better experience, but I had more 'fun' playing season two. All in all, I like season two a little bit better, but those games are hugely different.
Season one was basically perfect in my eyes. Season Two ended very good, but was not up to par throughout most of the season.
Season 2.Probably because this season was focused so much on Kenny!Loved it
Really, perfect?
I'm not saying that season two is, but season one had so many flaws.
I liked both, but I prefer season one.
If you say so. I think differently.
Season one. The story, the setting, and the characters had me much more intrigued than what was going on in season 2.
Nah, don't get me wrong, I think it was amazing. It's just that when I think back, I always recall the map puzzle on the train, and I can't forgive that puzzle.
Of course, it's legitimate to say season was was perfect. I get it, I'm just wondering if you think that there are no flaws at all in season one or if you can ignore them.
I agree, I liked Kenny, But how much of season 2 was about Kenny? A lot. Season 3 is a fresh start for my Clem at least.
Season one is better as a Walking Dead story.
Season 2 has a cheesy walking into the sunset ending which just isn't the spirit of the walking dead.
Oh, and season 1 was about survivors, and it felt like anything coudl happen, anyone could die. It was shocking.
Season 2 was about Kenny, and we could predict everything that happened. The cabin group would all die apart from possibly Luke, Sarita would die for Kenny's character development, the endings would favour Kenny, etc etc.
It was just predictable,m and less fun to play as a result.
I just feel as if more episodes in season had more shocks and more bang for their buck.
facepalm
As a Season definitley Season 1.
It was better written, had better characters and character development and had harder choices than most of Season 2.
Episodes were longer and had hubs which actually gave you a chance to look around and talk determinantly to people.
But 'No Going Back' was amazing. Your choices mattered more than ever, Lee flashback, gruesome choices, and it had me on the edge of my seat for about 90 minutes straight. And the last decision(s) were so incredibly hard to make, even though I knew something like this was coming. And as much as Iove Lee, the Wellington ending was sadder as Lee's death by far, at least for me.
So, the better Season? Season 1. But the best Episode of both Seasons is 'No Going Back' in my books.
Which season?
It was. Season 1 was about everyone, Giving almost everyone a decent amount of screentime. How much screentime did season 2 give Kenny? A hell of a lot.
1.
I agree with ep5 being amazing. it was a great episode.
I honestly did not get that impression. He's a strong, well-developed character. He was one of the main characters this season. He's an old pal from Clem's past, which makes him important. But I do not think that he was more important in this season than he was in season one. Not at all. Basically, the entire episode "Long Road Ahead" was about Kenny, Duck and Katjaa.
They have a different tone, different pacing. I love both, but they are hard to compare, because while I think that season one worked better as a whole than season two, I had more fun with season two and think it's superior. Sounds weird, but it's my opinion.
Yeah season 1 ep was about Kenny, But it made sense since Duck was dying. I understand being an old character was going to make him important, But everyone listened to Kenny, We listened to him enough in season 1 and I like Kenny. Attention seemed to shift to him a lot. All characters would talk about him. It was just a bit much for me.
Why can't you?
Lee > Clementine
IMO the other way round.
He was a central part of Around Every Corner as well. He was focused a lot in Starved for Help (killing Larry, opening the barn). But oh well, I don't want to compare the two seasons. Both are great in their own way.
I just feel as if Kenny did a lot in the first season, I enjoyed him coming back, But he choose to go to Wellington which meant we had no choice. Would of been nice to see what the cabin crew would of done if Kenny never got found.
They'd have all died at Carver's camp because most of them were pussies.
Obviously :P
Well we can't be right all the time
Jk.
Season 1 is better. Mostly because eps 3 & 4 were shitty episodes compared to eps 1, 2, and 5.
I second this. The story, surprises, music, everything except for extreme brutality was offered in S1. S2 had it's own fair of goodness, but episode 2,3, and 5 nailed the suspense. All of S1 nailed perfect suspenseful drama for me.
I enjoyed both s1 and s2 but I prefered season 2 because i feel like it was harder to stand up for ourselves and I felt hopeless especially in episode 1 and it ended of we a good note of staying in wellington and kenny showing that he still has feelings![:D :D](https://community.telltale.com/resources/emoji/lol.png)
What? Long Road Ahead was amazing.
I love both seasons but the first one had a better impact. The ending was really sad (against a "happy ending"). In S1 you have Clem to protect, something you care about. I wanted to protect the group in S2 but only felt one really good connection. Also it feels more realistic if an adult does everything than an child ( but who doesnt wanted to play Clem in S2? ^^)
I think they are talking about how season 2's third and fourth episodes were shitty compared to 1,2,and 5 (which I totally agree btw)
Oh sorry, I mixed things up. Yeah, Amid the Ruins and In Harm's Way were not as good as the other episodes. Still, In Harm's Way had an amazing ending.
Season 1 had better character development, hubs, and all that jazz. Lee was an independent badass who was looked up to in the group, meaning he could do supply runs and stuff, which nobody would trust Clem to do. Season 1 had harder choices, a better storyline, better dialogue, diversity in characters (Not race, but like Doug was an engineer who could make traps, it wasn't just "hurr every1 is a shrp shotter" like in S2. Season 1 impacted me harder than season 2, I felt like I knew all of the characters, when in season 2 I was only sad about Luke's and Kenny/Jane's death.
I'm not saying season 2 was bad, but it didn't have the same vibe as the epic season 1. The cabin crew was limited to mature adult men and two girl liabilities. Episode 3 was the weakest, but an impactful ending.
I definitively prefer season two. clem is a far more interesting protagonist. kenny downfall was perfectly build up and not that predictable .
i knew from the getgo lee would be sacrificing himself for clementine and likely be bitten. the entire story before that felt interchangeable. just passing time to reach that moment while the peak was already reached in episode 2's ending.
season 2 head so many peaks and still the ending came out on top.
beside i often felt restricted in season 1. lee seemed somehow so much stupider than clementine. that entire bear trap scene i was just asking myself why would they not let me just put my axe in that guys head.
Stupider than Clementine? Certainly not. I agree with you that clem is the more interesting protagonist, and that season two was not predictable (in Harm's Way, who would have predicted that ending?). But Lee was in no way stupider than Clem, sorry.
uh yes.
uh no.
oh really?
that is all that comes to mind right now.
i just wanted to say that even though she is a little girl and could as such be expected to act stupid. i never felt half as stupid during my saint clementine playthrough as i felt with saint lee.
and when it comes to "rational clem vs. rational lee" - there is no contest.
you can tell luke to just kill carver point out the obvious, often do the rational thing.... there where only a view times where i ask myself "why cant i just have that obvious solution as option."
