I hope it's at least dual protagonist. There's so much more depth an adult could have then just a little girl. I know everyone wants Clem, and that's fine but I'd like to deal with adult issues as well and not have my character ran over anytime others are having a spat. It would be nice to put your foot down like Lee did oh so often.
Good. I was worried they'd do something stupid and not have her in Season 3. It's still not confirmed, but it seems highly likely now. It should be interesting to see what they do with her.
I would love for them to continue Clementine's story. It's hard for me to imagine though any possible story that could match or surpass what they have already done in the first 2 seasons. Clementine is only 11 years old and she's pretty much seen it all already. She has already lost everyone she knows...three times if you include when the whole thing started. If Telltale can still manage to put together an original and captivating story around Clem after all that...it will be quite the feat. They would need to introduce something new...like getting her involved in some politics or a romantic interest. idk
Anyone remember how season 2 began? A five-minute opening, followed by the title screen. Telltale could do something similar for S3, except instead of one scene, we could get several different alternatives. After the title has come and gone, we'd find Clem and AJ in the same place: Walking down an abandoned highway, leaving behind wherever they were previously (Kenny, Wellington, Howe's, "lone wolf", etc).
I would love for them to continue Clementine's story. It would be good if will be controlling AJ as well. Knowing that our Clementine vary depends on our choices. I want to see another "Lee-Clem" relationship through "Clem-AJ".
You'd be a fool to think they can confirm anything about the plot of the next season this soon after the finale. They were just saying stuff to shut Greg up because he kept insisting. Those guys aren't allowed to say what's coming.

If she hits puberty there will be issues of love and Clementine will struggle with that as she knows how that story ends but if that nice guy or girl is always there for her....
It would be more foolish if telltale went with a whole new character .. Then what would be the point of our choices in the previous seasons?? What would be the point of giving us all these endings with no continuation on them in season 3? I am pretty sure they intend to continue clems story.

And they don't need to. Maybe we'll play as Clementine again or not but if we'll then Telltale could probably direct all this endings with different events in episode 1 of season 3 or season 2 DLC to the same conclusion by the end of this episode. There are many possibilities. Of course they could start with different character that we know or maybe even entirely new character and group. Like I said- there are possibilities for now. Nothing sure yet.
Well, Pride is right, kind of. They won't probably do 5 different storylines. Even if we'll play as Clementine (I hope so) then Telltale will most likely lead all 5 endings to the same place in the storyline for season 3 by the end of episode 1 (or DLC for season 2) so everyone could experience same events mostly.

They could end up dead or missing. Either way they're determinant characters now and we all know what that means, unfortunately. And yes - in DLC or episode 1.
What a lot of people don't seem to realize is that it is possible for Telltale to continue Clem's story without having her as the playable character. She could be someone we meet and she could still have an important role in the story. It would also give us the chance to see her make her own decisions based on who we made her become.
I don't understand people who want to get rid of her once and for all. What's the point of getting attached to a character, and investing ourselves in her story to just randomly start all over with someone new as if nothing that happened before really mattered.
Yayyyy!! I reallyyy didn't want to say good bye to clementine, specially since season 2's ending didn't really have much closure for her at all. What I've seen on these forums, for those who are debating that clem isn't a good protagonist, their reasons have nothing to do specifically with clem. "She's a kid so we can't make decisions blah blah blah". Why can't we not be a slightly weaker person for once anyway? We get to be super strong male dudes in every other game. xD
Well, yeah. It's possible that she could be non-playable character but... you know, a lot of people thinks (me either) that's it's her story and it would be bad to not play as her. Of course Telltale will do what they want because it's their game and I will play it either way. Clementine as non-playable character still will be awesome but for some people it'd be even better to play as her. I guess we'll see.

SO basically this...
Jane fans: Hahaha We chose Jane suck it!! your stuck with that psychopathic wreck and he will probably lose it!
K… moreenny fans: Hahaha we chose Kenny!! have fun getting fed more lies thus getting more of your friends killed!
Jane and Kenny fans after Season 3 episode one: Well none of that really mattered we are all in the same boat now...
They could always have Kenny or Jane in the first episode and they get separated and then Either Kenny or Jane will come back in episode 5 and you will end with them.
I really want to play as Clem again, mostly because she has not had her chance at being the leader character yet. Lee was the leader and had more of a say in decisions - heck even Bonnie asked when the last time was that anyone listened to Clem and she had done what she wanted? I felt more like I was there to facilitate the group rather than taking an active part in the decisions.
Don't get me wrong, the way Clem was incorporated in some scenes was genius (minus that part in episode two x.x) but seeing her lead a group and kicking ass? Maybe some romance when she gets older - I kinda wanna see what kind of adult she turns out to be - maybe she will raise AJ and the roles will be reversed, She will become the new Lee.
There's so much more depth an adult could have then just a little girl
....you don't read much children's fiction do you?
Why wouldn't they? And Clem would be a teenager at this point, the most flawed, chaotic time of life...I wanna see that! And even then, how many (grown up) games can you say have a child main protagonist? I can't think of many, if any to be truthful.

The problem with this though is the sense of detachment we'd feel if we saw an unplayable Clementine. In season one it made sense to play as Lee because it was all about training Clementine. In season two we play as her, and because we know everything that happened to her we feel a very strong bond to this girl, and the emotional impact of everything is more powerful. If she was an unplayable character in the next game, players would feel like they parted their ways with Clementine and would be upsetting to see her act independently from us.
Dunno if that got my point across well, but it's genuinely what I think it would feel like

I'd like to see Clem in season 3, but only for a cameo, not as protagonist.
Thing is, there are too freaking endings for season 2 to make Clem main character in season 3 even believable.
If they make Clem protagonist, they are going to HAVE to choose one ending above the others, and start from there. You know what that mean? That all those players who didn't get that precise ending will be disappointed, because the story will not deveòlop as they imagined as it would, meaning that their final choices are not only pointless, but also wrong.
Telltale is not going to lose almost all the clients of their main and more successful game just to keep going
It's possible but not sure. Like they (Telltale) said in Spoilercast Episode 5 in IGN - "Sometimes people are just gone and we are meant to never see them again or know what happened to them. Same things happen in real life."
No. For God's sake, no.

Please don't continue Clem's story TTG.
They need to continue Clem's story... Otherwise.. Who would want to buy Season 3?

Well as I see it.
We won't continue as Clem - Telltale will lose a shitload of buyers.
We will continue as Clem - Telltale will lose much less buyers.
And now there are 2 options, riot fans:
Not riot fans:
So in the DLC they would have to either kill off Kenny or Jane so everyone can be in the same point for season 3? I don't like that..

Yeah or we could even never see one of them again like Lilly, Molly or Christa. Or Vernon. Or even Eddie.
People were wondering why Eddie wasn't in season 2.. I think we will meet him and maybe even Christa in Season 3.

Why can't they have different openings? Dragon age origins does.
