She was just gonna leave Clem without telling her or offering to take her. I can't forgive that.
I get that much, but what about Jane and Clem? Jane saved their lives, and Clem was a little girl who was always there to help the group better than "three adults put together". They were about to take ALL of their supplies.
You're right, they were all scared of Kenny and wanted to get the heck out of there before they became his next victims.
I hate that Bonnie left Clementine for dead but I know WHY she left, it was because of Kenny and Jane was right that Kenny was a ticking time bomb who was scaring the **** out of everyone. I also know that they figured that Clementine wouldn't ditch Kenny like that hence why Jane came up with her plan to open Clementine's eyes.
I understand that she left, but I dont see a reason why she left the group with absolutely nothing. She respected both Clem and the Baby and to just leave a baby to starve and Clem to possibly bleed out is unacceptable.
Needless to say, I still dont think she is all that bad and probably just acted out at the moment and in pure fear of Kenny and wanted to leave very quickly, not thinking along the way.
Who cares that they left? They're not prisoners. It's the fact that they intended to leave a baby with no food and steal the only car we had. Stop with the Kenny BS. We all know he's crazy. It doesn't change the fact that Arvo, Mike, and Bonnie are shitty human beings for leaving Clementine to die.
Decent people would've just said their goodbyes and take off. Hell, they could've still kept it a secret as long as they didn't screw us over.
It can't be justified.
Because they were fearing for their lives and didn't think they COULD take the baby with them nor were they sure that they could raise the baby. Boonie would want Clementine, if you're in a good relationship with her, to come but she would have been told that it's impossible because Clementine REFUSES to see that Kenny is insane.
They also weren't sure that Kenny would even LET them leave without attacking them. He was a monster to them and they didn't want to be his next victims.
That's why Jane does what she does, she wants to save Clementine from a madman and she's right.
I can understand them wanting to leave. Kenny was losing it and, as another mulleted hat wearing wise man once said, was "Becoming a danger to the group."
Then they took all our shit. ALL of it. That ticked me off. They were sentencing AJ to death.
THEN Arvo shot me. That made me want to shank him with his own glasses. It can be done. Though I don't blame Bonnie and Mike for that one, that's all on Fuckwad Arvo.
Instead of helping Clementine, she just left her there after she was shot by Arvo.
I'm sorry but I'd rather be with someone that CARES about me and doesn't make me kill someone I'm friends with just to prove a point...
Oh, and their "fear" is a good enough reason to leave two children to possibly starve? No.
Assumption. Never use one of those. That's what you think because you don't like Kenny. I can sit here and say Kenny would've said goodbye with a smile on his face. Can you prove me wrong? I don't think so. You'll just keep mentioning how crazy he is, which is irrelevant to the subject.
Well, in my playthrough Bonnie was a bitch. What's up? I was WOUNDED and they just took off to protect their own skins. You go on and forgive that. I won't.
I understand their reasoning behind this. However, it's impossible not
to feel betrayed and mad. Maybe I wouldn't be so pissed at them if
they planned to leave some supplies for Jane, Ken, Clem and AJ.
Noooo, let's take EVERY-FRACKING-THING...
Exactly.
the problem is...they really don't know Kenny from season 1....CLem does....it's understandable why they would leave....but...they should have come clean with Kenny.
To be honest, this wouldn't happen if they listened to Kenny. Kenny knew it was a trapped which led to Luke getting killed coincidentally and having Bonnie and Mike leave the group. Basically, they're in the same situation but with less people.
There is no excuse for leaving Clem shot, or leaving a baby with all the supplies, Bonnie is a useless junkie.
the way i see it is that you can see why people do things (empathy) but that doesn't mean you have to agree with them or like what they do, understanding and agreeing are two totally different things
As people have said, I understand not wanting to follow Kenny, but taking all the supplies and leaving Clementine to bleed out in the snow?
It felt like a total 180 for Mike and Bonnie's characters.
She also got Luke killed by telling Clemetine to help him even though Luke said not to come. Bonnie was pressuring Clem which didn't help the situation.
Bonnie is just plain useless, I hope we get to find and kill her in season 3.
Bonnie wasn't completely useless. After all she gave Clementine that cool jacket.
Jane: "They weren´t thinking about anything except running away."
No signs of loyalty.
She knows Clem will never leave Kenny.
I think that when Bonnie went to take a piss she encountered Mike and he talked her into going with them.
Bonnie strikes me as a person who isn't too bright. She wants to do the right thing, but she never knows what that is exactly. She desperately wants people to appreciate her efforts and gets visibly upset when people aren't impressed.
I remember her saying something to the effect that she's, "always making bad decisions" in one of the previous episodes. So her actions are "in character."
Yeah, and she just said after Arvo shot Clementine (just leave her there) and a few times insults her about Luke..I mean hello Bonnie? Where were you when Walter got killed????
I was just sad about what happened. I liked Bonnie, I was as nice to her, and as Nice as I could be to arvo because I truly thought he didn't deserved to be treated like that. So when Luke died and Bonnie, mike and arvo wanted to leave I asked to go with them. I happily gave mike the gun, then arvo shot me....
I can't say I'm surprised, arvo held Clem responsible for his sisters death. No, what hurt was Bonnie and mike leaving me, after all I'd done for them, after I'd made it clear that i didn't want to be with Kenny, after I said I'd come with them, after I'd meekly surrendered. The only difference is that in my game Bonnie didn't want to leave Clem, it was mike who made them leave.
Bonnie, you broke my poor Clem's heart : (
So you rather be with someone unstable who'd kill you and other at the slightest threat to the Baby? And she didn't make you kill him, she was about to be murdered by Kenny without him giving her even a second to explain what happened, Clem saved her from Kenny. Just listen to what Kenny says before he dies, he even admits that he went crazy and Clem was right in killing him.
My would. My Clem made it clear very often that she thinks Kenny loses it. There was no reason to believe that in my playthrough, remember, everyone's different. Depending on how your Clem is, it could be either what you said, or she knows Clem would never leave anyone behind, or she still blames Clem for Luke's death. I am more surprised at Mike, who up until this point seemed like a nice guy who cares about Clem.
probably she have scary for the reaction of Kenny.
What was she suppose to do? stay and let Kenny kill her? he didn't give Jane a chance to explain, so why would he let her?
But they're no better stealing all of the supplies and taking the truck too. They're just as low
I left her to die under the ice after I discovered you can't save Luke anyways.
BEST. DECISION. OF THE SEASON.
I never hated Bonnie. In 400 days she was one of my favourite characters (with Vince and the NPC Eddie) and I was happy to see her in Season 2. When she turned up at the lodge claiming she was looking for food for her family, I didn't believe her for a second as we obviously knew she didn't have a family. However I never disliked her for it and on seeing her with Carver, it was pretty obvious to me she didn't agree with what he was doing but her trusting nature had effectively allowed her to be brainwashed by Carver. Even now I still don't hate her as I can understand why she wanted to get away from Kenny. However she and Clem were really close in my game so I was more disappointed in her not saying anything to Clem especially after her talk about men and broken promises.
I'm more on the fence with Mike as I'd only just started liking him in ep 4 and then he told Bonnie they had to leave when Clem was shot.
I also strongly believe they did not go after Arvo after he was shot and instead went off on their own. I will not believe any different.
Complete contrary to the above comment, I never liked Bonnie. I was indifferent in 400 days, but she was just increasingly unlikeable and annoying in season 2. It's not even the fact that she showed up at the lodge with Carver and essentially fucked us over - I can kind of forgive her for that since, as another poster pointed out, Bonnie isn't the sharpest tool in the shed and I believe her when she said that she genuinely thought Carver was a good man and wouldn't hurt us.
She has just been so fucking useless, which I don't even mind, but she is so quick to criticize other people, despite the fact that she literally does nothing productive other than sit on her ass all day and complain from time to time. She demands so much from other people but doesn't do a damn thing herself. She kept calling Jane untrustworthy and Kenny broken in episode 4, but they did so much more to help out. Despite his grief Kenny kept a clear enough head to help deliver the baby and keep walkers off the group, and she's just sitting around going "A plan! We need a plan! Make Kenny stop grieving his dead girlfriend and make him think of a plan!"
Don't even get me started on all that time she and Mike spent at the damn museum. Are you kidding me? You've both been here walking in circles this whole time and you didn't see this conveniently placed coat, nor did you think about finding a way to open this locked door? And then you still have the nerve to criticize other people on their productivity?
Not even gonna go into her little rant about how being a "pretty little girl" meant no one expected Clementine to do anything, despite the fact that she's been ordering Clem around all season to do practically everything for her. If you chose to cover Luke instead of jumping in after him, you know what I'm talking about.
And I'm pretty indifferent to Mike. I've seen a lot of people say he's their favorite character in this season and that just really makes me scratch my head; I can't really remember anything noteworthy about him aside from that comment about the Confederate army uniform. That was funny, but aside from that he's utterly unremarkable. Until episode 5, anyway, but that's a whole 'nother can of worms.
But I'm sorry, that was completely off topic. Of course I understand why they wanted to leave. They have no emotional attachment to Kenny and was fed up with his behaviour, that's understandable. I wouldn't have cared at all if they left, because quite frankly, aside from Mike being Mr. "Need-A-Boost" once in a while, they're pretty much dead weight. But of course, as other people mentioned, taking all of our supplies when they know there is a child and baby in the group was a really shitty thing to do.
I agree though, she's not an inherently bad person. There was a bit of foreshadowing earlier on, I think - didn't she say something like "I don't think [Arvo] is a bad person, I think good people do bad things, especially in these times"?
Kenny from S1 was also pretty bad if you didn't side with him super often...
She's dead in my current save file.
Oh, and look at this: one of the animatronics in Five Nights at Freddy's is called Bonnie. Coincidence? I think NOT!
he eventually helped out.
Kenny would kill Jane, but its because she's been an asshole to him and pushing his buttons the whole episode. He wouldn't hurt Clem. The most harm he did to her was yelling at her and pushing her out of the way.
