He beat down Arvo because he sees him as a threat to Clem and AJ. That's the reason he argues so viciously with everyone because he cares to… moreo much. And from the outside it makes him look like an asshole which he actually isn't if you watched his ending.
Lee would definitely have done the same. I used this example in another comment, but suppose that Lee and Clem got separated by a horde of w… morealkers, but he saw Clem running off with Ben. Lee later meets Ben in a safe area, but notices Clem isn't there. He asks Ben where she went, to where Ben starts stammering about how sorry he is and that it was an accident and that she's gone. Ben, already established as a screwup and who has abandoned Clem once already to save his own skin.
Lee would go absolutely apeshit on Ben, and probably be supported by most of the playerbase to boot.
My first ending was to shoot Kenny, but i felt so bad when he said that Clem made the right choice and he let everybody down. You know, not many people in the game tells you this. So I left with Jane and accepted the family, but their dad was a little suspicious to me and I didn't liked my Clementine in that ending because she was just like Jane. So i rewinded my last chapter and let Kenny kill Jane. Then i said that he;s dangerous and that i forgive him and went with him to Wellington. And after then i left Wellington with Kenny.
One thing I noticed, the longer I was with Jane the more I was like her. Srsly she persuaded me to steal Arvo's medicine and all. But I played the season again and didn't made that mistake again.
I am a fan of Kenny's just not an idiot. Jane told Kenny to back off more then once and put her knife away, She said it was an accident. But when Kenny kept going at her, She couldn't keep telling him to back off. She had to defend herself.
Because she didn't deserve to die and Kenny knew it.
Saving her is preventing Kenny from becoming another Lily/Carver and he's proud of you for stopping him.
I just don't find that easy to pick a side. But yeah, if I had realized Jane plan before I would totally give Kenny a chance. But still, didn't want him to kill her. My ending was shit man...
My original run's ending was alone path...I mean why should Clem stick with Jane-the-liar.(I mean we know Jane like...for what 2 days...we know how Kenny works.)
After finding out there were 5 ending to this I replayed this episode...and to be honest those Kenny endings were emotional...
Yep and thats what most people seem to forget on these forums, everyones opinion will differ because thats what TT and the story had to do, if it was plain to see that jane was right or kenny or anyone alse for that matter everyone would have chosen the same option, its good we all have different opinions, if we all thought the same TT would have failed, its that simple
I was on Kenny sides to, the whole season 1 and the whole season 2. except the end. It fucking hurts me, but it was enough. I dont want him … moreto see how he kills people when they did mistakes. Yes Kenny wanted to protect me and AJ the whole time, but the way he did it was not okay in my opinion. He threatens everyone, hurts people, is ready to kill someone....I know what Jane did was silly, and I hated her for that. But I couldnt let him Kill Jane for doing an mistake. It means, I would be okay with it that Lilly kills Carley. It was the exatly same situation. Lilly lost someone very important and Carly pushes her to far. I had teh feeling if I stay to Kenny, it's the same to say "I'm oaky with that." wich I definetly not. And it reminds me on the Stranger form season 1. I mean, because of us(Lee, Kenny and co.)he lost his whole family. We did it not on purpose, but we were technically the reason why they died.. So did the stranger had the righ… [view original content]
I wouldn't like to have you around if I ever go through depression.
"Leave me alone, I just wanna die...
BANG !
-That's what he wan… moreted. He told me."
In my playthrough where I saved Kenny and went with him to Wellington (and left with him), he sure did not want to die anymore and seemed to enjoy life. Sometimes you feel like shit and like you deserve to die, doesn't mean you can't get better and enjoy life again.
Still not helpful - beating Arvo is putting the group in danger; Kenny should've know right from the start that people are scared of him because of his anger, and this anger is making people run away from him.
He didn't even say sorry to beating them both, Jane and Arvo. What the heck?
but beating a kid isn't helpful in the slightest.
Sometimes taking out your aggression can clear your mind. You never broke a controller, mouse, keyboard, nose?
So even if she wasn't your friend, you'll still let Kenny kill her? I did the exact same choice with Larry. Larry wasn't my friend, but I tried to save him, my Clem will do what my Lee did.
Kenny is afraid of dying because he still has at least two reasons left to live. You know Kenny would tell your Clementine he supports her d… moreecision to shoot him just so that Clementine won't have to live with the guilt he has felt himself after failing to protect his loved ones. Think about that for a second: Kenny is looking out for Clementine even if she decides to end his life.
Well, he asks you to shoot him of you Looked Away. He knew he was going too far, and he was proud of Clementine for doing something about it. He wasn't like "WOW WTF YOU KILLED ME" he was calm, and telling Clementine everything. Of course he will dumb down for an 11 year old, but he still thought it was the right choice/

Is that the way you truly feel it in your heart? Because if it is I can respect that, but I won't agree with it. My Clementine needs Kenny just as much as Kenny needs her. Because they're family.

You don't have to agree. Kenny was ok with my Clementine taking the situation into her hands, and stopping it before he did something he would regret. Kenny needed death, and my Clementine knew that, as much as she wanted him alive.

I killed Kenny and left Jane both were crazy. The whole situation was mess up, I nearly let Kenny kill Jane. The wellington ending was the best though. The other endings didn't seem close.
But Clem loving Kenny is completely and utterly determinant as she can not like him at all, so can't really be used as evidence for the situation as a whole.
Yeah but if one is a manipulative bitch who you don't like and the other is some depressed redneck you love, chances are you are gonna go for the depressed redneck.
First time playing it I Killed Kenny (I didn't know that I can choose not to shoot him) but didn't forgave Jane also. Just Clem and AJ. and then I go rewind and let Kenny killed Jane.Go to Wellington with him and leave it with him. damn.

Yeah and so is sympathizing with Jane and actually wanting to save her. In all honesty I thought she was a massive bitch. And yeah, you could use the comeback of "Yeah but Kenny was a dick too", "Kenny was a bigger dick" ect. But at least Kenny doesn't purposely push people over the edge to prove a point and talk smack about peoples dead families.
But Clem loving Kenny is completely and utterly determinant as she can not like him at all, so can't really be used as evidence for the situation as a whole.
Arvo ran across the water in a attempt to escape, causing Luke to die. I liked Luke. I care nothing for Arvo, because he is a whiny pathetic person, who started a fight, and is lucky he is still alive. What do you think i would have done to him? I would have taken him by his metal leg brace and thrown him in the water, and tell him, you don't get to come back out unless you go get Luke.

I tried to stop the fight, I got pushed out of the way. So at that point, i let them kill each other. Kenny won. Yes i am perfectly fine with it. I wasn't going to choose someone i knew for maybe a week, who i don't like/trust, who was a constant bitch to one of my friends (Kenny), she is always starting shit with him.
So even if she wasn't your friend, you'll still let Kenny kill her? I did the exact same choice with Larry. Larry wasn't my friend, but I tried to save him, my Clem will do what my Lee did.
Kenny didn't destroy the group. The group failed itself. If Mike, Bonnie, and Arvo were just going to leave, that would have been acceptable. They didn't just want to leave, though. They wanted to rob the others from everything as well. Clem just suffered from hypothermia, and they're just going to run off with all the medication and food?
Also, Kenny wouldn't have done more damage. In the end, he offers to sacrifice himself to the cold wilderness so Clem and AJ would be safe at Wellington. Jane wanted to push Kenny into being like Carver, so she could prove to Clem that he was a monster, but no monster would do what he did at the gates of Wellington. The reality of what Kenny does in his ending proves that Jane's suspicions about him were wrong. If Jane's ending was the only one, it would be up for debate, but Kenny's ending is a fact of what he is truly capable of, which is self-sacrificing himself for the kids.
Kenny proved that he didn't care about anyone but himself, so why should the rest of the group care about him? At the end of the day, your post consists of blaming the victim.
As for Kenny being "heroic" in the end, keep in mind that even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

Jane was indisputably wrong in what she did. Jane twisted and manipulated both Kenny and Clementine just so she could have Clem to her self and get away from Kenny.
I understand people not realizing what was going on in the moment, but looking back at it, we should be able to understand that killing Kenny there was not a good thing to do.
Jane was trying to kill Kenny. It got to the point that he was fighting for his life. He even says as much afterwards if he you save him. Jane was a psycho.
So even if she wasn't your friend, you'll still let Kenny kill her? I did the exact same choice with Larry. Larry wasn't my friend, but I tried to save him, my Clem will do what my Lee did.
Prove it. Don't just say "Kenny proved he didn't care about anyone but himself." Give me an example.
I can argue against that with AJ and Clem. You can't say he didn't care for them. The others wanted to use Clem against Kenny, as a tool to guide him towards their goals. It's shows when he took the beating at Carver's for Clem, it shows when he takes care of AJ when Rebecca is incapable to, and it shows when he attacks Jane for believing she left AJ to die. He wouldn't have done any of those if he didn't care.

Totally... which is why the guard at the gate was so moved and so touched by Kenny and Clem's talk that she threw them down an extra bag of supplies. That's why the community was willing to make an exception for a kid and a baby despite the fact that they were already at capacity.. right?
The walls are probably meant to keep out both.. obviously. For protection..
Right, and what's to say Wellington isn't another Crawford or run by another Carver? Did you see those walls? They're meant not to keep the dead out but the living.

Arvo didn't deserve to get beaten nearly to death. If Mike and Bonnie didn't give him a gun, He wouldn't of been a threat at all.
I think Lee would of beaten him, But he would stop himself killing that person. He did say to Clem killing is never right/good.
My first ending was to shoot Kenny, but i felt so bad when he said that Clem made the right choice and he let everybody down. You know, not many people in the game tells you this. She knifed his stomach and tried to poke his only good eye out!
Jane wanted to kill him too.
Yeah i shot kenny before that happens but actually i find ur ending cool and tragic

If you were literally on the verge of murdering another person, I sure as hell would...

Exactly. I don't see how anyone could honestly ever say that Kenny did not care for Clementine.
Yeah and so is sympathizing with Jane and actually wanting to save her. In all honesty I thought she was a massive bitch. And yeah, you could use the comeback of "Yeah but Kenny was a dick too", "Kenny was a bigger dick" ect. You did the right thing. Kenny had already destroyed the group - you had to stop him causing even more damage.
Arvo ran across the water in a attempt to escape, causing Luke to die. I liked Luke. I care nothing for Arvo, because he is a whiny pathetic person, who started a fight, and is lucky he is still alive. What do you think i would have done to him? Good to know you believe that.
I don't give a what you think,, enjoy your psycho time with Jane.

You mean when she reached for her knife and stabbed Kenny in the stomach?

I'm pretty sure, if Ben was responsible for Clementine dying in Season 1, There would of been a choice to kill Ben or not. Lee would have lost it.
I believe he only says that because he cares about Clem and does not want her to feel guilty. He says differently if you help him out.
Jane was indisputably wrong in what she did. Jane twisted and manipulated both Kenny and Clementine just so she could have Clem to her self and get away from Kenny.

Those two things are both very, very false.

And what does Wellington have to do with Crawford?
The only way to redeem yourself is by replaying from season 1 and side with kenny on EVERYTHING.

(double post)
Please don't insult anyone's intelligence when you clearly do not understand what was happening there..
Jane did it only to protect Clem from Kenny, that was crazy and insane.
A scripted contrivance. He said you made the right choice if you shoot him as well.
