That's because he realized how damaged he was,he finally knows that his emotion is very unstable to be around Clementine, only in my playthrough it took a gunshot to make him realized about that.

No,you're just making baseless assumptions at this point,Jane doesn't even know her and there's no prove that she will behave as megalomaniac like Kenny,so there's no scenario or reason that will make Jane pull that stunt on her.

I don't see it as "dwelling on the past" it's more like picking the least dangerous route for a safe haven,Howe's was deserted, and fortunately, there's some food left, even for AJ,they can start everything new from there with the help of the family.

How is it ridiculous? everyone knows that Kenny's sanity is dwindling, the group's been talking about it behind his back,He's not different as the Stranger also overly obsessed with his family.Jane also saved Clementine at crucial moment a few times, and she taught her how to survive, she's just like Lee.

  • Look, I've never been Kenny's fan. But what I got from this episode is that under the shell of harshness he's a caring and loving man, that despite all bad things that happen to him, still fighting for those he loves. He never gave up.

Jane can only talk to Clem when they're alone, because if there were others around, they wouldn't let her talk shit. She wanted Clem to believe she can be by her own (would you say that to 11 yo girl?), but the truth is that Jane herself couldn't be by her own. Jane is about giving up. Giving up on her sister, giving up on the cabin group, giving up on Kenny. Can you imaging Kenny leaving someone he loves just because they want it, ask for it? I can't. Kenny never lied to us. Family over survival.

She's nothing like Lee, and if you don't see it, you're blind.

  • Not really,he does thinking about giving up after what he's been through, and he only think what he think is best, rarely listen to anyone.

Jane is the type of person that always thinking "prepare for the worst" kinda like Chuck, because she cared about Clementine she wanted her to be ready for that, she used to be on her own,but she's no longer like that since she knew Clementine, and the fact is that it was the situation doesn't allow her to save her sister, which also make her realize that she's just force marching her,Jane still care about her sister that she shared her experience to Clementine so she'll be prepared for that. Some people just don't have the will as high as others, there are some condition when encouraging them will only make things worse, just like what happened to Irene, letting them decide to end that,is a part of mercy, you should realize about that,Glenn.

Do you even read my previous reply? I can see that you're blind about that.

  • SEE GUYS

THIS IS WHAT ACCEPTING OTHERS' OPINIONS LOOKS LIKE

Of course. I realise that Telltale intentionally made it that no choice is ultimately right.

  • When they were rolling around out in the snow I found myself saying "Just let me choose already" out loud. I was beginning to think I wouldn't get the option. I didn't choose Jane as much as I chose to get Kenny out of his personal hell. The man was hurting, the truck ride was unbearable. I think this was the best thing that could happen to Ken. I shot Lee also. Lee was passed the point of no return after being bitten. Kenny wasn't bitten but he was in the same situation. It's like putting down your dog. It hurts and is hard but you can't let the ones you care for suffer for your own personal guilt.

  • Except Kenny isn't a "diseased animal" he's a fucking human being who was manipulated into his breaking point only because Jane wanted him out of the picture so she could have a "replacement Jaime" if you will. I suppose it doesn't matter since I knew she was lying about the baby so I let Kenny kill her, lying about a baby dying is one thing but using it to try to break someone who has already lost so much is inexcusable.

To be honest, I wish Telltale had the bravery to commit to the idea of Kenny being irredeemable. Not because I dislike the character, but because it would have tied better to the season-wide theme of watching a friend eventually devolve into the maniac that Carver represented - something that is made explicit in Episode 5 - and forcing Clem to realize that she had to let go of him. I'm unsure what to make of the fact that he somehow regains clarity and forgives Clementine for 'doing the right thing' when she kills him, even though letting him live is also presented as 'the right thing.'

As far as I'm concerned, it would have been more interesting for Kenny in his last moments to remain unrepentant and consumed by his rage. Have him curse out Jane and Clem when he dies. Have him not realize why Clementine felt forced to kill him in the first place. It'd be more in line with his characterization through the rest of the episode, and it'd make me feel more disappointed in him. I know Kenny started off as a loving father and good friend, and I even liked him in spite of his flaws, but it'd have been more tragic if he never redeemed himself after falling into the darkness instigated by his encounter with Carver.

Remember that Bonnie came across as deluded to us when she tried to defend Carver's actions, but even she was too good-hearted to put up with his evil forever.

  • If you want to blame anyone, Buricko is the most at fault. Arvo indicates that it was Buricko's idea to strip Clem's group of everything they had, it was Buricko who refused to negotiate, and he refused to stand down even when he heard the baby crying. It was Buricko who took advantage of Rebecca's death to start firing.

I guess Kenny didn't beat on him because abusing a corpse is not enough?

  • Holy shit this pic.

Yes, because everyone knows using a hapless baby to trigger a psychotic breakdown in a man who's already been pushed to the edge, while endangering an eleven-year-old's life in the process, is entirely justified.

  • Think about it, you'll get it.

  • Yes,this could also be the better scenario for Kenny,a more tragic ending for the broken man,it's more immersive that way.

  • It'd feel more natural to me, anyway. I know that Kenny started off as a good man, but his character arc throughout Season 2 was that of someone who was too broken for a little girl to fix. Committing to that, rather than desperately trying to make him come across as some misunderstood martyr, would have been more believable for me.

He cared about protecting the children, but what happens if they kill him? We already saw his over-reaction to Arvo putting the baby in danger, and his irrational treatment of Clem following Sarita's death. Was Telltale afraid that letting Kenny be angry in his last painful moments would make him seem less likable?

  • That's the excuse. The reality is that they'll have to suck it up and deal with it, just like fans of Sarah and Nick had. Telltale's writers and devs were in love with Kenny and couldn't bear to let go of him.

I hope they have. He took away from what should have been Clementine's story, and the series needs to move forward rather than keep recycling nostalgia. Clementine has the potential as a child for growth.

  • Jane fans. "JANE IS EPIC DUDE, SHE HAD ALL RIGHT TO KILL THAT INSANE MAN."

Kenny fans: "Well, she did hide the baby, just after Clementine got shot, and the truck broke down, plus the group betrayed them, and they were in a snow storm, Kenny saw the baby as his own child, and after all that stuff happening in just a few days, you'd probably go all out too. It was a stupid moment to try to show that Kenny is dangerous when he's mad, they had no food, the truck was dead. It was just stupid, if a parent would hear his / her son just died, after someone shot your other child ( Clementine ), betrayed you, and your wife / husband dying, you'd get pretty pissed too. Its a different case when it comes to a father and son scenario, becomes its a very very strong bond.. Kenny doesn't really care much about himself, he wants the safety of Clementine and Alvin JR over anything, and if anything gets in the way of that, he'll get mad, which is understandable. Jane might be a good person, but trying to prove to Clementine that Kenny is a danger when he's mad by saying the baby died, just after all those horrible events happened in such a short time is a stupid idea, even more so after fleeing from walkers in a cold snowy blizzard, without any supplies."

Jane fans. "No, he's just insane!"

  • Let me help you fix Jane's perspective from your narrow mind like Kenny himself:

Kenny doesn't want to listen to Jane at all when she says going back to Howe's is a better idea since it's less dangerous and take less time to get there, and he only make matters worse by insulted Jane as selfish when in fact without her,Kenny would've been dead got shot from that Russian guy,and do you know what makes Mike & Bonnie betray them? because Kenny act like a giant dickhead to the rest of the group, you see many similarities with The Stranger when he's incapable to protect the child but act like it was totally other people's fault, just look at what happened to Arvo,he will always be a danger to anyone that even has the slightly different idea than him, that's not the kind of person you want to be with for survival.

He scared off everyone else and she was really worried Kenny would get worse and Clem would probably be the only one around to recieve his rage. She made a mistake but she didn't deserve to die for it. And even back in season 1 we can clearly see that Kenny was never right in the head. He was become increasingly violent and Jane was worried about Clem's safety around him."

  • Actually, if you go with Jane to Howe's, she says the supplies there aren't that many ( when the family comes ) so Wellington is actually the better idea if you choose to stay there.

Jane didn't make a mistake, and yes, she deserved to die. She provked him, and fought him, both of them could've died and thus Clementine would be in a lot of danger, or they could've accidently hit her when she tried to stop it.

Imo, however. Going with Jane would be a lot more interesting than Kenny and Wellington. Welling is all like "Yeah, we're safe and all, come in and its all over, you'll be safe."

Or at Howe's, you get a chance to build up something new, a community. Clementine gets to choose how it goes, perhaps building something great just like Wellington.

In any case, Jane was stupid and WILLINGY caused a fight, which could've ended badly for Clementine too. Kenny is violent yes, its obvious, did she really have to do that? There was times throughout the season I got mad at Kenny for being like that, and if Jane actually accidently lost the baby, and she didn't fight back or insult him, I'd side with her.

But since the fight happened cause Jane hid it, I think she's the bad one here.
