So essentially all we have to do is get some batshit crazy basket case to start shouting out about an inappropriate relationship between Clementine and whatever character you dont like and there you go they're gone. Lexi basket-case Porter managed to do that for luke >:(

I highly doubt that's what happened. But if you do happen to be right.....I ship Alementine- Arvo and Clementine.
Give them character development and/or backstory.

Make them have a higher education in some kind of history (Lee, Luke, Omid...in other words my favorite characters...)

A dependent: Lee, Omid, Carlos
Likable: Alvin, Carley, Doug, Lee, etc.

It's honestly really dumb to blame someone as insignifigant as Lexi Porter for the death of Luke.
A character merely has to exist to get killed off in The Walking Dead.
Don't let Telltale lull you into a false sense of security with Clementine...it's how they win.
Please note I stated it was a light hearted comment. However, i've spoke to someone who has a friend who works at telltale and he has told me how TellTale were scared regarding a lawsuit regarding Cluke and didnt want it to get bad media or damage the name of their company. SO its very well have had an impact in it, the guy told me another 2 things which contributed as well though
... There isn't any ground for a lawsuit because of "Cluke". If you're talking about that one youtuber, he's kind of a notorious bullshitter. I wouldn't trust him.
Well actually there is a ground lawsuit for a child and an adult having a relationship and they very well could have gotten sued if cluke manifested into something bigger.

They clearly don't have a romantic relationship. If they were THAT worried and paranoid about a lawsuit, they wouldn't have included that one line by the campfire that implies that Clem has a little crush on Luke.

I actually thought it was kinda cute and harmless. It makes his death a little bit more fucked up, though.
First create a complex character that people aren't sure if they like or not. Then when people begin to like... no - when people begin to LOVE that character, understanding his/her motivations, strengths, and weaknesses... finally relating to that character in a way to have a deep sense of empathy with him/her... ONLY THEN will Telltale will KILL THEM in either a pointless, arbitrary way -OR- by the character doing something incredibly heroic that will be made meaningless by another plot twist later.
