Other than returning favorites Clem and Kenny, I'd have to say Nick. I really liked the entire cabin group, and I think I was even one of the few people that reserved judgement on Rebecca until I got to know her better, but definitely Nick was my favorite. I also really liked Carver in Episode 2, but in Episode 3 they tried way to hard to turn him into an unlikable super villain.
I definitely considered that possibility, but I'm not so sure Telltale will go the cannibal route again. I think if it was human meat though, then they probably would have let Clem and Kenny in. It would be easier to kill them and filet them fresh if they were able to get to them inside the walls.
I'm assuming only characters that have debuted in season 2 so...UNCLE PETE. I LOVED MY TOUGH REDNECK UNCLE SO MUCH, HE CARED ABOUT NICK SO MUCH, HE JUST WANTED TO DO RIGHT BY HIM, AND HE WANTED TO TELL NICK HOW MUCH HE LOVED HIM BUT HE NEVER GOT THE FUCKING CHANCE?!?! AND NICK WILL NEVER KNOW THAT HIS HARDASS UNCLE CARED SO DAMN MUCH THAT HE'D GIVE HIS LIMB UP TO SAVE NICK (OH GOD I'M MAKING MYSELF SAD AGAIN), AND THAT HURTS ME DEEP IN MY SOUL. AND HE WAS ALWAYS SO NICE TO CLEM AND ADVOCATED NOT TO LOCK HER IN THE SHED, YOU'D THINK HE WAS REALLY MEAN BUT HE'S SUCH A SWEETIE. AND THEN HE SACRIFICES HIMSELF TO LET CLEM GET BACK TO THE GROUP SAFELY, EVEN THOUGH IF HE RAN HE MAY HAVE GOTTEN TO SEE NICK ONE LAST TIME, AND YOU KNOW WHAT, IT HURTS SO MUCH TO THINK ABOUT?! HE'S A DAMN HERO, I LOVE HIM SO. MY FUCKING HEART RIPPED A LITTLE WHEN HE DIED, WHY DID HE HAVE TO DIE TTG??!!! WHY??? I'M SO EMOTIONAL RN.
Rest in Peace you beautiful man, you were too precious for this world.

I didn't find Nick to be boring at all, and I think you'll find that most users on the forums will agree with that. That's your opinion entirely though, so don't think I'm trying to tell you you're wrong, or trying to start an argument. I would like to know why you found him so boring though?
I personally found him interesting because I could relate with him well. His strained relationship with his family felt very genuine to me. Overall he just felt very genuine, and that's not to say that other characters didn't, but I guess I could see myself in Nick's shoes better than I could with the others.
Nick? Really?
Don't get me wrong, It's cool that you like him, but I could not care less about him. One of the most boring characters this season.
Pete was great, though.
Yeah, I saw that a lot of forum users liked him a lot. I'm not arguing with you, mate I'm not a guy who does not accept other people's opinions
He's not exactly boring. Those were the wrong words. But I don't find him likeable. He always made a pretty arrogant impression on me, was mean to Clem, and screwed things up. Not in an innocent Ben kind of way, but in a 'shut up, you don't know me' kind of way. Plus, he shot Matthew, and I really really liked Matthew. I saved Nick in 'House Divided', but I did not care about him at all at that point. He was too whiny for me and my Clementine.

Oh no, I agree with you about Nick's death. He deserved more than an off screen death. I'm agreeing with you about Uncle Pete too, sorry if I wasn't clear hehe.
I didn't really get an arrogant vibe from him, more so sad and scared. One of my major issues with Season 2 was that the deaths just got breezed over and never mentioned again, maybe once if at all. Nick was deeply affected by the deaths that occurred around him, and he also felt great remorse over killing Matthew. To me Nick was one of the most realistic characters in the series so far because of his strong reactions to the continuous trauma they were put against. Clem can basically stare at Luke's lifeless body at the bottom of a lake, and in the next scene smile at something. That sort of behavior just feels wrong to me.

Not a problem, I just wanted to be sure I knew what you meant. Nick's death is probably the worst in the series, or Sarah's, I can't decide. Pete's though, that was a really upsetting one. It didn't make me cry, but it hit me harder than most of the rest of the cabin group's deaths.

I'd have to say Nick, at least Sarah had actual lines and we got to see her death(not in a sadistic way though). Same, Uncle Pete's death hit me very hard obviously. His character really resonated with me.

I don't even like to discuss episodes 3 and 4, I really just didn't like them at all, and those two deaths are part of the reason. Uncle Pete reminds me of my grandpop, so his character resonated with me as well. I could relate well with Nick, especially the whole displaced farm boy in his 20's that hasn't figured out what to do now portion of his life, as he explains about going into business with Luke.

Uncle Pete really reminded me of my Grandfather too.:( I related with Nick too, especially when he fell into a depression after he had to shoot his mom. I know that would just destroy me if I ever had to do that. Or how he struggled to believe he was just as strong and capable as Luke, I know how it feels to both admire and envy a friend who seems to get everything right.

Uncle Fuckin' Pete, bar none. He was just the nicest old man we've ever met, and not once did he ever lose his cool when it came to Clem and her bite. He did right by me, so I went with him at the end of All That Remains and got to feel my heart shatter when he sacrificed his life for me later on. If only he could have had one last chance to talk to Nick. You know, say goodbye
Luke's death felt really sad for me. I did not have the feeling that it was just breezed over, I felt the weight of his passing throughout the rest of the entire episode.
I agree with you about the fact that they don't talk a lot about deaths. For some people, that may feel insufficient, but in my opinion, they handle death in a much more subtle way (through their actions).
It's all just an opinion in the end. I can understand everyone who says that Nick death sucks.

Never forget.

My overall favorite character is Kenny, but my favorite season 2 characters are:
Hell yeah, Nick. Edith was a very likeable character too, even though we barely even got to know her.
Edith seems like a very nice lady I hope the food she gave us isn't HUMAN MEAT.
I think they meant favorite new character of season 2. :P
I'm guessing Lee would count too since he was in the flashback :P
Could be a loop hole xD
NICK

NewKenny .
If it is not count i really liked Carver
Luke.
discounting returning characters, carver episode 2 not because i like him as a person, i like the character

Clem, Kenny, Uncle Pete and Luke
Its okay. Big hug!
I will never forget him ;-;
Uncle Pete and Nick were instant favorites of mine. Nick's death was such a terrible disappointment, but I think Uncle Pete's was well done.
Nick? Really?

Mine was, of course, Luke.
I'm gonna miss him so fucking badly in Season 3, there's gotta be a reference to him. Hopefully in all episodes like there was with Lee and Duck.

HE WAS THE BEST. I'D GIVE ANYTHING TO SEE THE SUNLIGHT SHINE OFF HIS GLORIOUS BALD HEAD ONE LAST TIME.
HE WAS A HERO. HE DESERVED BETTER.
