Do you have a The Walking Dead Collection?
I don't have much physical items except a magazine which features the game it with an interview with Dave Fennoy I think. But I have a folder on my PC where I include my obsession with downloading pictures. I don't know, I just can't stop downloading pictures for the fear I won't be able to find them again! Is it weird?

That is a good price. I plan on buying it for 35 bucks. The stores in USA carry the book for $60 Lmao.
For a first time comic reader, do you think I should pick up the hardcover book issues 1-9 or just go ahead and buy compendium?
Well, if you just want to try the comic out, you can always read the first issue online for free. You can also try out the first trade paperback, days gone bye, you get it on eBay for about 5 bucks.
For a first time comic reader, I'd definitely recommend the compendium or the trade paperbacks. The hardcover books are for hardcore collectors and pretty expensive, all 10 together cost about 300 Dollars.

Yep, I planned on doing that but then saw the books and started questioning it. Maybe when I can collect I can get the books. Issues 1-68 for a good price is a bargain.
Yeah, but before buying the books, I'd definitely try it out. I can say you though that I was hooked from the moment I started reading. The first volume is the weakest though, so you should at least read until they reach the prison.
You should check out thewalkingdead.com from time to time. They often have humble bundles for the comics. A few weeks ago, they sold the first 120 issues, collected in 20 Trade Paperbacks for about 80 Dollars, I think. (Instead of about 200).

I have Telltale's The Walking Dead: Game of the Year Edition and a digital copy of The Walking Dead: Season Two on my PS3.
I've read all of the comics up to Issue 130, I just don't own any physical copies (read 'em online ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)). Same for the TV series, I've seen all of it through Season 4.

And for figures...I would buy figures made by McFarlane, I guess, but they look expensive. I own some One Piece Sailing Again figurines and those already cost some money, but McFarlane looks even more expensive.

I'm waiting for the (Region 2) Blu Ray to be released for Season 4. I want to save the first experience of it for Blu Ray quality, not some crappy internet resolution.
So, I'm waiting for Season 5 aswell, in a way. The faster it's out, the faster it will be on Blu Ray.

Ist aber leider alles etwas teurer hier von $ zu €, weil 20$ halt einfach 20€ bleiben, obwohl es eigentlich nur 15€ oder so sind.

Problem ist auch, dass die bei eBay oder gebraucht auch KAUM günstiger zu bekommen sind. Das günstigste, was ich bei ebay gesehen habe, war bisher 12€ für ein Buch. Bei 20 Büchern ist man da halt auch locker über 200€.
Genau das stört mich auch immer, wenn die Preise genannt werden.

Was die Comics angeht, die englischen gibts Teilweise extrem günstig. Habe letztens die ersten 12 Bücher auf eBay für knapp 40€ gesehen.
Ich sag mal so:
'Vergnügungsmäßig' ist Deutschland im Vergleich zu anderen Ländern im allgemeinen richtig, richtig teuer. Zwar nichts im Vergleich zur Schweiz, aber trotzdem alles andere als billig.
Es hat zwar einen relativ hohen Lebensstandard und die eigene Versorgung wird wohl nicht zu teuer sein, aber sobald es an DVDs oder Videospiele und dergleichen geht?
Blechen angesagt, und zwar nicht zu knapp.
Übrigens hats die Briten in deinem Beispiel am schlimmsten getroffen, weil 350£ sogar noch mal 435€ sind. Schon krass.
Deswegen überleg ich auch, die Comics einfach auf Englisch weiter zu lesen, auch wenns mir irgendwie gegen den Strich geht, was angefangenes nicht fertig zu machen.
Das fällt mir schmerzhaft auf wenn ich eine Blu-Ray kaufen will und die direkt mal locker 25 Euro kostet (nach Release, wartet man ein halbes Jahr, sinds nur noch 15).
Ich verstehe was du meinst, als ich Tomb Raider für die Playstation 4 gekauft habe, habe ich 70€ gezahlt. Einen Monat später war ich in Italien und dasselbe spiel hat dort 40€ gekostet. Das macht schon einen Unterschied.
Das mit dem Comics kann ich gut nachvollziehen. Bei Naruto habe ich irgendwann wegen der grauenhaften deutschen Übersetzung und Vermarktung alle deutschen Comics verkauft und hole mir die jetzt nur noch aus England. Da muss im Schrank natürlich trotzdem alles einheitlich aussehen :P
Ich hab ja zum Glück erst 1 (das limitierte verkauf ich niemals
), deswegen ist das bei mir noch kein Problem.
Wobei die deutschen Bücher aber auch Hardcover sind, was ich schon cooler find....hmm.
Und Naruto bin ich jetzt bei Band 6 und bis jetzt gehts, finde ich. Der Anime ist aber grausam
Band 6. Die guten alten Zeiten. Spannend bis Band 27, dann unterhaltsam bis ca. Band 47, ab da nur noch eine einzige Trauershow. Der Anime zieht sich unfassbar, der Manga ist am Ende einfach nur noch die größte Grütze :P

One Piece is' brillant. Ich liebe es. Lese die einzelnen Bücher schon, seit die hier in Deutschland erscheinen. Glaube da war ich 9 oder 10, als das hier angefangen hat, müsste so um 2001/2002 rum gewesen sein
One Piece ist mein Lieblingsmanga, aber leider bin ich jetzt schon bei Band 71 ;-;
Und die erscheinen immer alle drei Monate nur und ich find die Carlsen Übersetzung einfach so viel stimmiger und nicht so gezwungen wie die Kapitel online.
Eine der wenigen guten deutschen Übersetzungen von irgendwas, würde ich fast meinen
Habe alle 71 Bände bei mir im Schrank stehen. Im Wohnzimmer. Meine Freundin bekommt immer komische Blicke zugeworfen wenn sie Gäste hat und da ein Schrank voll mit so kleinen Comics steht
Ja, die sind echt super. Band 72 müsste jetzt irgendwann im Oktober rauskommen, meine ich. One Piece ist auch der einzige Manga, bei dem ich keine Online-Scans lese, sondern immer den Release abwarte. Dafür ist die deutsche Übersetzung und Gestaltung zu gut!
