Why are people fighting between each other about the ending? (on who they save)

Look, I've had a lovely supper with my wife, and all I said to my wife was "That piece of halibut was good enough for Jehovah!".

  • I'm more of a asshole than a douchebag. I blame Telltale for making these choices so polarized!

The story is what you personally saw and reacted to.

Lol, nope. The story is want it is.

If you were licking Kenny's nut sack the whole time, you would see Jane as the "bad person" and let her die.

What part of Jane faking at baby´s death, not stopping a fight that would obviously escalate to attempted murder, not care about causing Clem emotional trauma, makes her a good person?

you would realize she was a good person,

You should realize that she is manipulative bitch, and she only gives a fuck about Clem because Clem=Jaime 2.0

Kenny didn't help Lee in the pharmacy because of that,

He he felt distrustful and guilty of Lee if he didn´t back it up on a grey morality choice, so he didn´t want to risk his life for him.

and later on in season 1 where he lost it a few times

Examples, please. If you don’t even brother to put examples, don´t post things like this.

    Kenny wanted to kill Ben

He stopped caring about Ben´s life when he confesed to being the reason his wife and child are dead.

Everyone will have a different view on who they saved because it literally is the same reaction.

Nope. You are assuming too much.

You have to look at the bigger picture and long term effect

I tell you the bigger picture: Jane.Faked.The.Death.Of.A.Baby.To.Kill.Kenny.

And was truly lost at that point

Are you even serious with this shit? Jane pushed Kenny over the edge. He could have handled himself just fine if she didn´t have to insult everything he stood for and everything he cared for and then fake AJ´s death.

going North is always a bad idea,

Not in this case. The existence of Wellington, which was nearly assured, made going North better that turning back to Howe´s.

I also want to add that I played season 1 and 2 back to back this past weekend and finished yesterday. So all the events that occurred were fresh in my mind. to come to the conclusion that I came to for my play through.

Is this supposed to prove anything or are you just saying it?

  • Because people are not allowed to have opinions on the internet

  • I do agree Jane fanboys are like that, but Kenny fanboys are not exactly sweet little angels either.

And, once again, right you are! Jane fanboys tend to do that, yeah.

  • Some people weren't smart enough or perceptive enough or good enough of a human being to get the superior endings with Kenny.

This leaves a large portion of the playerbase feeling, understandably, like garbage.

It's not a big deal, they'll eventually process their feelings of shame and misplaced anger, but in the meantime it's good for a laugh.

I think it's because many people take the game way to seriously.
If a person wants to get angry about something, how about make it about something that is real and tangible?
    Make it about something valid.

Sometimes I would go along with the arguments, defending Kenny and why I like him.
But I often time felt ridiculous for playing along.
Often times asking myself: "Why am I wasting my time with defending a videogame character I like?"
After all, it's ONLY a videogame.

Often times, the only reason I'd engage in those discussions in the first place, is if there was a principle involved.
I try hard to be a man of principle, and if a principle needs defending, I will defend it.
After all there are certain things that will always be right, and there are certain things that will always be wrong.

Yes there are a lot of grey-areas to.
And those are largely a matter of conscious.

  • That's not entirely correct. There is a difference between being rational/logical and cold/cynical. Logic dictated that I shoot Kenny to get him off Jane because he was out of control, which he even admits himself. Logic also dictated that I leave Jane after finding AJ alive because manipulators cannot be trusted. If I was cold and cynical, I would have went along with what Jane did, but I didn't. I don't regret shooting Kenny, but at the same time, I see it as something that should have been avoided entirely.

Is this supposed to be a reply to my comment? Because, in case you didn´t read the OP post carefully enougth, he is the one who seems to think this.

  • At least this thread was good for something, i feel bad for the OP though, his thread got taken over by Jane Fanboys, and then it got derailed. It seems to happen a lot these days, like in the last week.

  • Now thats a pretty good and reasonable answer.Im not gonna lie i though killing kenny was the best option to end his suffering before he lose his mind until later i realized i been tricked by jane, but it was too late :[ so left her in a instant.Telltale knows how to trick half the people.Overall season 2 kenny's ending gave us a meaning of loyalty/family as well as strengthen our character if an apocalypse happens that "when the world is against the people you care, follow their footsteps because those are the ones who will stick with you until the end"

  • Because people take this game way too seriously and act like people only play it once or that the game doesn't have more than one file. Frankly, I don't care what ending a person got in their game, or any game mind you, since by the end of the day it doesn't affect me. Hell, I already saw and obtained 4 of the 5 endings in my game when it first came out, so seeing people going around insulting others or acting like they made the "wrong choice" in a game is really absurd. Especially when the game specifically revolves around making choices that you WANT to make regardless if you morally agree with them or not. Sadly the fighting doesn't just exist here, it also exists on other websites like gamefaqs and youtube.
