So I'm on the lower part of this decision...
I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. At the moment, me and 10% of people who played this made the very suspicious family leave. I did this because of the simple fact that the so called "father" has a black... child? And the "mother" seems to be hispanic or something. I don't know if Telltale takes that into account but how the hell is that possible. It looks like they are using the black kid for an excuse so Clem and Jane can feel sympathy for them. Surely (hopefully) TTG did this on purpose and wanted people to think about this. In my story, Clem and Jane also have a baby to take care of now so I don't want them taking any risk with strangers. I feel like Lee's character would of done the same. Now don't take this wrong and saying I'm being racist because I'm black too. Just an effort to not try and receive hateful replies. But it seems like the "family" was lying so they could get into Howe's. Even more reason to why shouldn't let the family in.

I kicked them out too. Not because of race or anything but because I didn't like how his hand (and hers at one point) kept reaching behind his back. That was too suspicious to let pass.
Yea that too. And when the "father" quickly moved his arm away from the woman when she tried to grab him
There is such a thing as adoption. I do agree with you, however. They are very suspicious.
Yup. My first thought was "this guy has a gun" and that he was just using the kid as a way to soften us and get in.
At least in this ending Clementine pulls hers out first. Smart move.
I made this decision too for my first play through with a little hesitation. When I first saw the family coming toward Howes I've thought about being nice and letting them in but when the father spoke, that's when I had second thoughts and decided to make them leave.
I actually find this hilarious. It wasn't because of the gun. It was because Ginger Carlos and Hispanic Molly had a Black Son.
That's fucking great. I respect your decision to keep the demon Gill out of your life. I count you among my friends.
I let them in because if they're not a threat, great. If they are a threat you can just shoot them in the head and you've got some great fertilizer for the greenhouse.
There is that too. But the man doesn't look like the type of guy to adopt a child. And shouldn't they mention that?
Not unless they do something sneaky and catch you off guard.
I just thought, "I'm done dealing with these kinds of people," so I said no. I even saw the father putting his hand behind his back, so that was a definite reject in my book.
I would've shot him as soon as I saw the gun in his waistband. Clem and Jane were right behind them - a couple well placed shots at less than five feet and you've got two or three new additions to the compost heap depending on if you shoot the kid, too.
Well just saying he doesn't look like the type to adopt isn't fair to him. However, I agree with you that he doesn't really look like the type to adopt. I don't know why they would mention that the kid is adopted to Clem and Jane after they have just met them for the first time ever a few mins earlier.
Well, they should mention that he's adopted for the sake of getting in
Morlos? Or Carolly. Such sweet names.
I didn't let them in also.
Maybe you would have. However, since Clementine didn't fire a single shot at Arvo when he went for a rifle earlier...I wouldn't necessarily count on her being quite as fast.
But hey, who knows?
He already had the rifle aimed at her and she was aiming her gun at Mike. All he had to do was squeeze the trigger.
For all we know the kid (Gill) could have a story like Clementines, they're not biological but they took care of each other from early on. I didn't let them in though because Randy jerked his hand away when the woman (Patricia) tried holding it. And I'm done trusting people, I won't even trust Jane.
Yea I noticed that too. That added to my suspicion
i would pick it just for clems line "what if i am" i was like ooooooooooooooooooh
I let them in, but I understand the reasoning behind turning them away. I didn't like the creepy way they were acting at first, but felt that Clem would lose her last bit of humanity turning them away (just my take on it though.) Only when the "mom" hugged Jane did I feel a bit better about my decision. I'm still wary about them & the way the kid said "Cool hat!" bothered me even though it was innocent enough. I just got a bad vibe remembering the thief at the gas station at the beginning of the season.
That little shit isn't touching Clem's hat. >:(
I doubted them for a sec when I sided with Jane and let them in. I feel rather well protected at this point by plot armor so I don't care if they can potentially be dangerous.
Yeah I noticed that also; when he was talking about "his boy". Although I let them in. Don't regret it.
