A large problem with this forum
The new popular < Speaking Russian > thing is one of the only interesting things on here since episode 5 released. Everything else has been the same shitty jane/kenny debates/arguments/deaththreats

Let's try fixing the forums... together.
The first step is acknowledging the faults, which seems to be quite a large consensuses on these forums now. People are more willing to pack up and leave now more than ever. I propose us users try to think up interesting ideals and discussions past the you-know-what topics. And also if we spot a you-know-what thread, just don't pay it any attention.
It's up to the few vocal minority to set the forums straight so to say.
We tried that so often.

I'm not planning on leaving, just visiting less often. I expected a mess, this is the internet. But if it becomes too unbearable where i dont even have a little fun on the forums, then I'd consider leaving.
I'm gonna miss the people who are leaving though.

We just got to put our best foot forward. The first step is acknowledgment though, then the changes will hopefully follow. For example, I'm not going to join a discussion that I suspect to be a "bait war," it doesn't help anyone. And I'm trying to come up with some interesting/funny threads.
But these next couple weeks are going to be hard on a lot of users. I know I've considered leaving a few times in the past, just got to stick with it I guess.
Yeah, it's been kind of disappointing with how people are taking insults towards fictional characters to be extremely personal - while in other cases, people are trolling those with different opinions depending on where they stand with the Kenny/Jane choice.
No matter how weird or controversial someone's opinion is, we usually opt out of choosing to close a thread or flag a post unless the community guidelines are broken (or the thread is completely pointless and made as a joke). This means that we try to abstain from closing a thread just because a post isn't exactly high quality. However, I agree that things could be better, and I'd hope to see some changes for the better.
Unless a member breaks the community guidelines while talking about the Kenny/Jane choice, we aren't going to flag posts or ban users just for someone's subjective opinion about a character, but if you want to make a positive change, you can just avoid responding to threads or users that try to passive aggressively provoke you.
If you have any suggestions that we moderators could take into consideration that do not include flagging posts that support/insult Kenny or Jane, I'm all ears. However, as I said, we don't flag posts just for having a poor argument (unless the post is ironically bad/controversial and made to troll the forums), so our hands are tied.

The whole Kenny vs Jane arguments are oddly reminiscent of the Kenny vs Lilly arguments.
If there is one good thing that is going to come out of Kenny being determinant is soon Kenny will be dead and people will argue about someone else.
Don't get me wrong, I like Kenny, but I also like Jane.
