So... who did Avro manipulate exactly? And the Arvo wanted "revenge" on Clem just by his look is the same look when Kenny killed Larry in front of Lilly... my guess he shot Clementine because to make Kenny feel bad...
Also weren't Bonnie & Mike who let him go and decided to hijack the truck and steal the supplies.
Im just confused how its all the Russians fault...
I hope Arvo will survive and show up again in season 3, so Clementine can get revenge on that fucking piece of shit. Shoot him above the heart and leave him to the walkers while he bleeds out.
I don't care that he was stealing from his group. He could've had good reasons, it isn't really a thing we can say is bad. There's no point defending him because most people kind of stupidly insta hate for him the moment he showed in Ep4 when Jane threatens him, but yeah, he's a dick for shooting Clem. But I don't blame him after what happened

I totally agree, the guy is a creep, he knew exactly what he was doing, one character I trully hated in S2 i duno weather it was because he was really the kingpin of ep 5, he changed everything and was basically there to shake up the plotlines, but he is defo a little shit.. and if S3 has any bearing on S2 I think we will see our ruskimfriend again, and I just hope I get the option to blow his glasses through his dirty little head... plus it will be interesting to see the % of people who kill/spare him.......
Actualy thats my s3 demand...... I want avro to show up and be given the option to spare him/head shot him OR do a kenny on him with a crow bar.....
Wrong. Luke died, babies don't eat chlli, and physiologically, burning 15,000-20,000 calories as a group to hunt down a 600 calorie container (a fair argument could be made that there were at least 3 cans so, fair enough, 1800) of food is NOT a win. They were quite literally far more undernourished after the chili than before the trek.
Also, even if you concede that Arvo's grasp of English was not selective (which I don't) if he knows the word "lots" well enough to use it understandably, he knows it well enough to know that even 15-20 cans of chili isn't "lots and lots of food" for 8 people.
Anything helps.. literally... anything. If the entire group got at least one scoop, that would've been much more helpful than killing Arvo and having nowhere to go without food.
I named myself for what I wanted to do and hoped would happen. And I don't mean at the car, I mean immeditely after the shootout (better yet, during,) in cold blood, before he has a chance to open his mouth and say a word.
He COULD NOT have had good reasons. In any kind of total infrastructure breakdown, looters (read:thieves) are murderers. That's why (my) Clem didn't take his bag, though Luke and Becs desperately needed the supplies.
I'm not gonna sit on a high horse and say I might not be driven to it in a situation like that, but if it went south, I also wouldn't wonder why I'm getting strung up over 6 cans of ravioli and a book of hotel matches. No quarter for looters.

Considering Telltale is very incorrect when it comes to human health. I really don't know. I guess we were suppose to assume there was more food inside those two bags..
Because if it's true, from the shootout to Wellington/Howe's Hardware, the group literally had nothing to eat for about 2 weeks. They should've been skimpy. Too weak to move, to many nutrients needed.

OK, let's. Let's assume that Arvo's grasps of the phrases "Very big. Very warm." and "lots of food." were limited and incorrectly used. Let us further assume that one duffel was stuffed to bursting with Gatorade, and the other equally full of Powerbars and space paste. We've given Arvo a nearly ludicrous quantity of the benefit of the doubt. That should assail some of the case against him.
It still barely warrants the trip, it doesn't pull Luke from the icy depths, and it doesn't mean he didn't put Clem in lethal danger twice after she stopped (in at least one scenario) Jane from taking his stuff. One of those times, by leveling an assault rifle directly at her chest and pumping a round into it from no more than 20 yards. Arvo's been around the ZA long enough to not have a reasonable right to regard Clementine murderously for blowing his sister away AFTER she'd turned.
This one's on Mike and the oft-despised Bonnie as well, but it also doesn't take away from the fact that he was going to take the food and the truck. Admittedly, he has good reason to fear Kenny, and much more questionable reasons for despising Clem, but reasons nonetheless. On the other hand, taking those things is going to kill a baby. Period. That baby WILL die if those actions are successful.
As much as I shouldn't have to go any further than "He tried to kill a baby." allow me to point out that this is at a time when our species is very much endangered and every new birth may be the deciding factor in determining the survival of the human race.

I swear I figured this nonsense out by the end of my playthrough.. As soon as Luke died and everything went to shit I had a bad feeling about Arvo and when he shot Clem I put all the pieces together slowly. Arvo knew very well that ice wouldn't hold the group that's why he tried to run from Kenny because if Kenny went down, so did he. Also the lake could not have been that frozen long enough for Arvo and the other Russians to know it was safe to walk across. Especially considering they were waiting long enough in the trees to ambush us and that was the first day of snowfall. No way they crossed that ice.
Not to mention that there was no indication that anyone had walked on it before, like cracks from previous journeys. Sure Arvo, the other Russians didn't cause the ice to crack, but you fell right through... I knew walking across the water was a death trap but i thought they were going to kill Mike or Bonnie. I saw what he was doing from the beginning, especially when i saw Mike falling for his lies.

So when Rick killed the guys in the bar where Herschel was drinking, in particular the one who was trying to simper and beg and seem useful after he was decommissioned as a threat; that was the "Shane" POV because that guy hadn't actively tried to kill anyone for upwards of an entire minute?
That's essentially our situation here. Arvo led his family of bandits to the group. The subtext (i thought) was pretty clear that Arvo's family was in organized crime, likely gun-running, before everything went to pot. They weren't messing around. Their aim was to KILL EVERYONE. Whether that was by taking eveything and leaving the group destitute, defenseless, and hopeless in the icy midwestern wilderness, or by riddling with bullets any and all who didn't capitulate to letting that happen makes little difference.
The only reason Arvo wasn't trying to actively murder us during the shootout is that his gun was buried beneath the rubble of the observation deck, and with his gimpy leg, an AK would've just knocked him straight on his ass. He SPECIFICALLY said that his family had a camp in the woods, and they were extraordinarly well-armed and almost jovial when we met them. They didn't seem driven by desperation at all. In fact, Arvo tells us that this is all in retaliation for his lost revolver... either that or he's snowing his family and sick sister in addition to us.Yet, he doesn't take us to the camp, he takes us on a 2 day march to toothpick manor and gets somebody else killed in the process,.
There's no reason to sympathize with a man for feeding you a line of crap as he simpers for his life.I'd bet dollars to doughnuts the real camp was much closer and much better stocked with food, medicine, and especially arms. I'm guessing Arvo's hope was to get free and back to that much better cache before moving on. I'm guessing the unfinished house was some kind of ICE rendezvous point, implying Arvo's group was well-stocked enough to have supplies they could afford to leave behind on contingency. And I'm guessing that had the group chosen to listen to the tracks in the snow, instead of a vindictive 15 year old in mortal terror, they would've been alot happier.
Those things are my guesses. I think they're sound. What I KNOW is that Arvo was clearly a bandit, and not treating him accordingly was anexercise in sheer folly.
OK. Sorry ran abreast of the point, I know. I just really, really hate Arvo.
Nah, in TWDG most people know you have to do certain things to survive. If he deemed his sister unsafe around Buricko or Vitali, or she needed the medicine and one of them used it for other reasons etc. he could have good reason. We don't know because it isn't said, but yeah, you have to do things you dislike in TWDG. I didn't take his meds but it isn't my business why he hid them, it doesn't make him wrong to do that

Because most people have the Shane POV of it's alright for us to hurt others but not for them to retaliate or have their own POV
Arvo is a master with words, he manipulated his way out of captivity.
FUCK ARVO!

Fuck Arvo so so much, against his will, and in horrifically unspeakable ways.
