Come on, Nate isn't that bad. Spoilers

I noticed Nate is getting a lot of heat from people and I just can't see why. If it's about the Wyatt thing his friend was killed first showing that he cares for people. He went back for Russel even when he refused a ride and insulted him. He also trusted Russel with his only gun and saved him when Russel lost his balance. Even when you leave you can tell by his body language and in his voice that he is upset and has lost a friend.

I cant really see anyone who says Nate is that bad, most people like him. Hes just crazy and unstable
Majority of people like him. His puppy-eyes-trick seems to work flawlessly.
Nate is amazing.
How can you not like that amazingly developed character?
Nate is a misogynistic piece of slime and proud of it.
I like him a lot. I wish we see him in S3.
Nate could be a fun and unpredictable character, but it's not hard to see why people think he's not a good guy. Killing the elderly couple cemented that.
And the way he talks about women is straight up unsettling.
How Dare he look at women as sexual objects, I will have you know that part upset me so deeply, especially when he was talking about the girls boobs. I MEAN OMG is that all he cares about is her rack.
I don´t like Nate as a person but I like him as a character. He´s complex and interesting.
Why not?
I don´t like the "let´s kill these folks and take all their stuff" kind of mentality is all.
They were going to die anyways. The were both shot.
Though the question rises: if they weren´t shot would he still suggest killing them?
Who cares about what ifs. They were going to die. It would be stupid to just leave the supplies there for people who weren't going to be around to use them anyways.
i dont even remember nate, who was that?
But the "what if" played an important role at the time on whether I wanted to stay with him or not.
And I don´t disagree with taking the supplies, I would have. I´d just have preferred to leave them.
I assume you're being facetious.
Nate was derogatory at best, but he sounded like a potential rapist at worst.
Nate did not shot those people initially, if Nate had shot those people why would he drive right in the center of the old guys line of fire, and let the old man take the first shot. The old guy was shot in the chest, and the old lady in the gut. I personally wouldn't of cared what he did with the old people.
I just wondered what exactly he´d do if they weren´t shot. That´s why I personally consider him to be complex and interesting; I can´t read him very well and I like that. You can mostly see through most characters.
For me it's the gorked eyes that do it. I love Nate as a character. He's my second favorite from 400 Days, and I really hope he shows up in Season 3 at some point, but when he's all "Let's kill these folks and take all their stuff," man, that guy's look is just... dayum. Serial Killer material.
That was impersonating Steve
This guy.
Nate is like Kenny. People like characters that are easy to understand and boring. It makes it easy to identify with there cartoony and over the top persona. Nate is just a bland cardboard cutout with little to no charisma.
"Oh, he stopped his truck next to a walker so that he can talk about necrophilia and look how crazy and sporadic his actions are! He's so funny and original!"
To me he's just one of those characters you love and hate.![:p :p](https://community.telltale.com/resources/emoji/tongue.png)
I KNEW SOMEONE WOULD call him a rapist. You think he is the only guy who talks about tits?
He would of probably stole their shit and left em with nothing. That is what i would have done.
That I could roll with, I got no problem robbing in game.
Nope, he has good backstory speculation in 400 Days, he could have more. Also, he made people laugh yet scared, that's an interesting combination
He comes off more as a scavenger/ drifter.
Lol no charisma? He's more developed than any of the other 400 days characters and the majority of Season 2 Characters.
I don't see a point in comparing Nate to Kenny, unless you want to provoke another war.
The only things I got from Nate was that he likes booze, women, shooting and killing. That spells a person I would not want ot associate with, Telltale still has to give him any redeeming qualities.
I don't consider it robbing, i consider it beating an opponent that started combat with you. Like when your playing that RPG and you get experience/gold, sort of like that.
In this case because they were dead anyways, and they started combat. The Arvo situation is a whole different animal.
Just in this case or the Arvo one as well?
Saving Russell's life wasn't even a teensy weensy bit redeeming? If it weren't for Nate, that old man would have killed Russell in the parking lot.
Fixed. That is what you meant right?
Well, I suppose a bit. Although Russel wouldn't have been in that position if the narrative hadn't forced him to accepts Nate's roadtrip. I'd also argue that Nate only cared about saving Russel because he would die too if they didn't work together, not because he cared about Russel's well being, but obviously that is just my own assumptions.
What is wrong liking these things? If your going to judge someone's lifestyle explain yourself.
It's a very basic existence and it doesn't tell me much about him. Liking to kill is not something I'd want to associate with.
