Co-op

Hey, this has been a question on my mind for a long while but why not make a co-op telltale walking dead game? I know it would be incredibly difficult with all the outcomes but surely playing together with one of your friends on a point and click adventure would be fantastic! especially in a world where zombies roam free. The characters that you play as don't have to be connected to the main story, just start a completely new campaign with episodes like the last two seasons but following other survivors. perhaps they could link in somehow with clementine or lee. Also, I think it would work well if for example you clicked a response and then your friend wouldo the same but for each responses to be different for each character and the ending could be choosing whether to save your friend or sacrifice yourself or whatever. I appreciate it would take a load of time to make and be incredibly complicated but they payoff would be huge. millions of people would want to buy the game if it had co-op and instead not just watch game plays of it through youtube. please consider this!!!

  • How in any way is this a 'retarded idea'

  • No, thank you.

  • I've said I appreciate it would take a while and be insanely complicated, but you don't have to put me down just for suggesting an idea? This idea would suck for someone like you perhaps seeing as you'd probably have no mates to play it with...

How in any way is this a 'retarded idea'

  • I kinda like the idea but thats never gonna happen

  • @zykelator Jeez, do you really have to be so mean towards a newcomer? With such members' attitude it's no surprise ppl keep leaving the forums. I personally like the idea, but I don't think it's possible for a TWD type game.

  • ...

I can´t believe I am about to say this, but I agree with Zykelator here. Mostly, at least. This is a good idea, but only in theory. I could like to see it happen, but is never going to happen. Teltale can´t even give us branching storylines in the normal game. A co-op game with branching storylines could be impossible.

  • The idea sounds nice and all, but I just don't see it working out. Would be pretty sweet though.

  • Yeah, I guessed as much ahah, would be cool if it was possible.

  • The whole point of these games is not knowing other characters at first and being unable to predict how they will act. Co-op would just ruin all the fun.

Why not make a special co-op episode in addition to the main single player campaign then? I'd certainly love that, at least it would be something new and fresh. But they won't be doing this anyway, so whatever.

  • It would have been interesting but I think it would be impossible to achieve.

  • this is fucking IT zykelator. I'm tired of your shit. All you ever do on this forum is complain. I will agree, this is not a good idea (IMO). But why do you have to be so mean? couldn't you say that you disagree and explain why instead?

No, you were. People get upset when someone calls their ideas retarded and hint that they aren't smart enough to realize it, okay?

  • No, i thought the idea was really stupid and if someone thought it was a good idea in the first place, there would be no point to explain myself, since our ideas of whats good is very different.

  • It is actually.

I don't understand why every game has to shoehorn in multiplayer and co-op shit just for the kiddies to jump on board. Video games are already more homogenized than they were five years ago, and having a game as focused on narrative as TTWD being some co-op romp fest would really dilute the purpose of the narrative structure in the first place.

Who would be player two? Lementine? If it doesn't work, it doesn't work.

  • being honest doesn't mean you cant be polite, simply say that you disagree, and state why. Talking like that makes this forum a nice place to be :). But if you talk like an asshole to a newcomer, there is a chance that he is not gonna come back for more.
