Kenny was familiar territory to the writing staff. He already had a backstory, and the writers already had a basic outline of his personality. I don't think that the new characters suffered because of Kenny returning; I think the new characters suffered because Telltale was rushing things, and the expectations were massive following season one. Lets face it, the new ideas Telltale came up with had potential, but they never really developed completely. Kenny's an alright guy. I don't mind him being there. He's an interesting and valuable character. I just want the standard of the writing to stay high.
Mw too. Season 2 was good, but I felt that there was a lack of good writing. I want them to add less characters and make them well-written and developed instead of introducing a huge crowd of people that will die anyway.

Hey, it's good that you enjoyed it. It was a little bit of hit and miss for me, but hey, different strokes. It wasn't bad by any means. I just didn't feel like the game was up to the standards of season one.
I loved season 2. I enjoyed it more than season 1.
If we're playing Clem again I'll get the season pass. If we're not playing Clem I'll probably wait till the whole season is released and try to find spoiler free reviews after it's all released.
After Star Wars episode 1 I did not see episodes 2 and 3 in the theaters. I ended up watching them many years after release with a lady friend because she owned them on disk, but if it weren't for that I probably wouldn't have seen them.
I get that, but everyone saw Episode 1 because it was this new thing. Episode 7 will be the start of something new too, and while I understand why everyone will be skeptical of it, everyone's gonna see it!!
Anyhow I find it hard to believe that some people wouldn't get the next season even if they didn't like this one much. To me season 2 was like the Empire Strikes Back and season 1 was like Star Wars; it was darker, more emotional and developed everything much further. Regardless of what I think though, are some people genuinely not gonna get season 3 based on what they didn't like about season 2? It's pretty undeniable that the storytelling in season two was far greater than just about every other game in existence, isn't it? Then again maybe season 3 will have someone like Jar Jar

I plan to, if Clem is the main character again I might not though. S2 didnt have very good immersion and if its Clem again I might not be able to just sit through and watch another season, I want to actually play again.
So, basically the reasoning behind most people not buying Season 3 is practically "Season 2 wasn't as good as Season 1 so Season 3 will be terrible too!"
The reasoning behind not wanting to buy S3 is because id say S2 wasnt independently good. I probably would have been bored with it if I wasnt already invested in the series.

...really?

There are alot of ifs about S3 and alot of buts about S2. Both have me a bit worried. I'm still guaranteed to Season Pass the thing. And unless S3 is just the most shameful, steaming pile of godawful crap to ever try to pass itself off as a video game (which, regardless of whether or not you imagine S3 will be a priority to your gaming life, I think most of us can agree is very unlikely), I'm a pretty sure bet for S4 as well. I don't need for the game to keep topping itself nor do I expect it. I'll be perfectly satisfied if it only manages "pretty damn cool" from here on in.
I am incredibly sad that I wasn't as pleased with season 2. The length and quality took a DEEP dive. Playing as a little girl probably had some problems with creating an intriguing story. But that shouldn't be an excuse. I will probably pass on season 3 unless I hear RAVE reviews.
I liked it more than the first season, unlike some of the very vocal people on here. There's things to complain about, sure, but there was much more to complain about in season 1 and it was still one of my favorite games of all time.
I wasn't trying to say that I won't get season 3. I probably will; for sure I will if it's staring Clem again. I was just pointing out that some people "did" follow through with the "no more Star Wars for me" after seeing episode 1.
I'll see episode 7 probably, but I'm gonna wait until I can talk to my friends about it and see if they think I'll like it.

I don't even know what I'm saying anymore
Whoa, wtf? Now, I'm not exactly shy about my disdain for season 2, but I thought it was pretty well received. How is the most direct 'no' option in the lead?
I'll definitely be buying Season 3! Though I really hope we get to see or play as Clementine again and whoever we chose to be with 'Kenny or Jane' in season 3.
I will definitely buy it as i really enjoyed season 2 just as much as season 1 but the poll results seem a bit wrong, it says that there where 727 votes but from what i have seen i don't think there are that many active users that use this forum so unless this thread or poll got reposted on another website somewhere someone might be messing around with the results.

That's a possibility but i am slightly suspicious as i have seen a strawpoll get rigged before and most other polls have never come anywhere close to that amount of votes.
Not buying it if it's a new cast, even though I'm obsessed with the game, I love Clementine's story. If she's not the protagonist or in the game half of the time, or at all, then no thanks. I'll see gameplay of the first episode and see if I like it if it does go that way. I was kind of hoping that AJ could be the protagonist in that case.
These problems goes hand in hand imo. Boring characters because of the absence of interactivity. And short episodes because of the same reason. Cannot be that hard to "fix".
Hopefully it clears uo the obvioua problems Season 2 had (Boring Characters, Short Episodes, Little interactivity) and returns to the brilliant formula they had for Season 1.
If you go to a restaurant for a certain dish, and then they make a change to this dish that you don't like, then you would still go to that restaurant?
Brand loyalty is foolish. If you don't like a product as much anymore, then you should probably not be buying it.
So, basically the reasoning behind most people not buying Season 3 is practically "Season 2 wasn't as good as Season 1 so Season 3 will be terrible too!"

I pick only Season 2 promise us stuff. This season kinda lack but I still love and hope for the best!!!
Also people hated season 2 that bad? I don't know if it was a specific person who keep voting for "no" but holy I didn't know people hated the season.
I would. I am all for giving others a second chance. If someone messes up as my friend, I'm not going to tell them to get out of my life just like that. I'll likely give them a second chance. This isn't a restaurant that I just randomly went to one day. Season 1 was amazing, Season 2 was okay, and I have faith that Season 3 will be good. Call it naive, call it biased. Just because a company makes one "eh" product doesn't mean you should abandon them.

Brand loyalty is foolish. If you don't like a product as much anymore, then you should probably not be buying it.
Ok. Let me start by saying this: Season 2 was not awful. I genuinely enjoyed some parts of it. That being said. It wasn't perfect. Their were problems. I didn't like the death of Alvin or the death of Nick. I hated Sarah's random dispatchment in episode 4, and I did not enjoy the fact that after Jane hides AJ and tricks us into killing Kenny, there's nothing you can do about that. When you let Kenny kill Jane, you can kill him immediatley after. When you shoot Kenny, you can't kill Jane. That bothered me. I would have shot her right then and there. But, that being said, I will buy season 3 if:
1: It does not focus on Clementine. I see Clementine's story as over. Concluded. I like where she is now. I would be open to clem coming back for about 10 minutes with Jane/Kenny/Alone and talking to your group, before moving on. I don't want her as protagonist, and I don't want her as deurotagonist either. Maybe in season 4.
2: It features determinant characters that do something. anything. As soon as Nick becomes determinant, he is reduced to nothing. Nothing he says or does does anything at all. The same with Alvin. the same with Sarah.
3: It features some old characters. Lilly. Molly. Christa. just some closure would be nice.
I'll buy it if they start a new storyline, and not re-hash the same concluded story of Clementine.
I'd also like characters to survive long enough to have sufficient development. Sometimes, it feels like we're playing Final Destination on steroids, which leaves many characters like cardboard.
I'd like some more (easy) puzzle solving like in Season 1, but without silly puzzles like having to get booze to get Kenny to move so that I can get to a map.
Lastly, I don't want unrealistic characters. That means no ridiculous ninjas like Chuck or Molly, and no emotionless characters like Jane.
That's a possibility but i am slightly suspicious as i have seen a strawpoll get rigged before and most other polls have never come anywhere close to that amount of votes.
I think it's done by changing IP, if you look at the current results it has gone up about 100 votes in around 10 hours and i don't think this forum will get that many unique viewers who will all vote in the poll in such a short amount of time.
I remember someone rigging a vote choosing between Nerissa or Bloody Mary which was obvious as the poll has 800 votes compared to the 200 for the others.

You won't have to worry about Kenny anymore. I'm pretty sure he'll pull an Omid and die in the first 10 minutes of Season 3.
Kenny's an alright guy. I don't mind him being there. He's an interesting and valuable character. I just want the standard of the writing to stay high.
I hope all 3 seasons come on PS4, because that's what I'm getting this weekend.
Congrats on your purchase, Mr. Hat.
Mw too. Season 2 was good, but I felt that there was a lack of good writing. I want them to add less characters and make them well-written and developed instead of introducing a huge crowd of people that will die anyway.
I for one thought the writing in season two was outstanding. Loved what they did with the entire cast, old and new faces

Make an adult protagonist please
Wow, it's really surprising how much people downgrade season 2. People always set the bar to high for sequels...

i'm glad some people will not take telltale's shit and buy season 3 "no matter what" like some people picked.

Only if Kenny is not in it. That's my only stipulation. Otherwise, I'd probably just watch playthroughs..
If it doesn't follow Clem.
I want to leave off her story with the near perfect ending I got in S2. Besides, I don't want to see an older and edgier Clem.
Oh, I freaking loved season 2 TWD![:D :D](https://community.telltale.com/resources/emoji/lol.png)

If the horrible writing from season 2 is anything to go by (Not counting episode 5), i won't be buying it until it's on sale.
You can endlessly vote for one of the variant. It looks like a troll is just trying to mess around with the votes indeed.

I don't think I've seen any of the Star Wars movies all the way through. I'm not going to be there opening weekend lol

how do these get rigged? I can't even vote again. unless you think somebody is clearing their cache and or possibly ip to vote lol. then that's dumb.
