I think when people suffer together. It brings you closer. So yeah they are friends. It was obvious when Kenny dies/leaves. She was streaming tears because she did care about Kenny. He was someone from her past, someone who knew who Lee was, and could remissness about the past. It gave her an anchor, to who she was when she was with Lee.
So its obvious to me she cared about Kenny. She might call him a jerk, she might not always agree with him. She still cared enough to cry over him.
shows that kenny is a fucking prick , he doesn't have the right to say those things , just because he lost people doesn't mean that he can treat people like shit , everyone is suffering and everyone lost someone, he is not special..
What the fuck does this show? Nothing. Duck was about to die and Kenny was consequently scared and pissed. He never demonstrates any viciousness towards Clem, and all he's doing here is insulting Lee by claiming he's not a real father.

I see it like this if Kenny cared so much for Clem then why does Kenny going to help save her depens on how I {Lee} treated him. If Kenny doesnt like you he takes it out of "your" child. If any of the bad people around had kids would he care? or would he be like 'Your parent was mean to me f off'

Nothing in Season 2 counts, I'm mainly referring back to Season 1, where Kenny didn't have any kind of emotional bond with Clementine and that's my big issue.
yea show something while he is in the anger stage on grieving all the proof we need that kenny cares for her is this

He cared about her safety and claimed she was tough, but so did Molly and some other characters, he didn't show any kind of affection toward Clem in Season 1 as he did in Season 2
Even if the re-appearing character in EP2 was Lilly I think Clem would be glad. She'd also be a familiar face and a tether to memories of Lee. But Kenny was more than that... He showed affection for Clementine numerous times in the first season.
Moments like him racing after Clementine following her kidnapping (His initial choice may be determinant but he ends up going with Lee anyway), getting pissed if Lee doesn't feed her, or him referring to her as family all show a large degree of love even in the first season.

but my reply wasn't to what you are saying i'm replying to the guy that is sort of implying that kenny doesn't care about clem in both season 1 and 2 but since i am talking to you know might as well give my opinion on this
clearly it is up to the player whether clem had interactions with kenny in season 1 or not imo since telltale gave both options of saying i don't really know him/he is a jerk and he is my friend

I actually sort of sympathize with him in that situation. Lee is trying to get Kenny to stop the train and to put his son out of his misery, and in a way, since Lee has no children of his own he cannot fully comprehend the difficulty of the decision.

Same could be said for Kenny and Clem having this emotional attachment in Season 1 according to Kenny fans, so Wishful thinking to you, brot… moreha. I know I'm probably not right, but at least it's legitimate evidence that I would come to that conclusion.
No, I understand that it's hard to swallow for Kenny fanatics to understand that maybe Kenny and Clem never had a bond in Season 1 and that Season 2 is treating it like they were always old friends.

So Clem likes Kenny because he reminds her of Duck and Kat? So in the end, she still never really had much of a bond with Kenny himself, you just made me not care for this relationship even more, way to go. I understand that Kenny may remind her of the past, but so did Christa, and well, we didn't see much of that relationship at all, considering there was actually build up to it, wasted potential in that regard. Kenny's character didn't really have much of an impact on her in S1, other than being Lee's "angry and scary friend."
I wanna see what you gotta say about this.

He's mostly looking out for Duck, Clem is a kid, and any rational person would want someone to look after someone vulnerable in a apocalypse, but there's no evidence that Kenny and Clem loved each other in S1.
Moments like him racing after Clementine following her kidnapping (His initial choice may be determinant but he ends up going with Lee anywa… morey), getting pissed if Lee doesn't feed her, or him referring to her as family all show a large degree of love even in the first season.
I rationalize Clem's attachment to Kenny as tied to her nostalgia towards Lee. Even if she feared him for being a violent drunkard, his close relationship (not necessarily friendship, as a lot of players had antagonized him) would have made him one of the few remaining links to Lee.
As far as I'm concerned, Clem never saw him as a replacement for Lee.
Clem is so attached to Kenny cause he reminds her of Lee and the old group, they both have lived the same things and even if they weren't too close to each others they will form some kind of friendship. I don't think the're best friends they just care about each other.
Imagine you lose your dad/guardian in a horrific incident that has some serious traumatic impact on you and you're left alone with a replacement who's far colder and down to Earth after losing her unborn child and husband. She loyally devotes her life to ensuring you have the tools for future survival and so, during the time you spend with her, a close bond is formed despite the lack of love directly being shown.
After a while you're separated and this time you're truly alone. You spend days scavenging for food and barely scraping by, and the only entertainment you have is looking on the past and remembering when you and your family and friends were at peace. This reminiscence only makes you miss them more, and depression consequently drills down on your mental integrity... But you're strong, and they would have wanted you to live, so you keep on fighting.
Days pass and the further suppression of your emotions becomes nigh on impossible. You're with a new group now, and you're not sure you'll be able to endure another cycle of inevitably dead friends and emotional torture. Suddenly, a very familiar face appears... A man who ultimately loved and supported your dad/guardian despite their differences, and who also knew and survived alongside your most recent carer whom you miss dearly.
You've both had the same experiences. Hell, you were there when his family died. You have a deep, personal connection. You both miss the old times. After days of holding back your emotions you can finally release them, and so you give this guy a big, warm hug, and want to stick with him to the very end.

i think that S2 kenny cares about clementine and AJ , But whenever you disagree with him he will give you that look , the problem with kenny is that he is kinda selfish not in the way most people are but in his actions , he thinks that he is the only one doing the right think , the only one that has good ideas and plans and the only that does what is for the best of the group , this kinda of thing make the bonnie/mike/Arvo situation because when people don't agree with kenny he simply treats them like shit.

When Clem first meets Kenny at the lodge and from then on, it's treated like "old friends" reuniting, except S1 showed zero evidence of Clem and Kenny being friends.
Did Clem and Kenny have close relationship in Season 1? Not particularly. But even if Clem and Kenny weren't close back then, they have history together and that in and of itself is significant.
Kenny went to Hell and back again in Season 1 with the death of his family and then had it happened all over again in Season 2. Kenny's character has come a long way since Season 1. Considering everything Kenny has gone through that's enough to consider that a space has been created that he can feel more drawn to Clem perhaps even have insight (even if it's not as we would hope or desire). Given the dog eat dog universe that this story is set in Kenny is about as close to a father figure as Clem is going to get.
Humans are fundamentally social creatures and Clem is still a child. Those factors alone tell you that Clem will seek out relationships and look for role models (even if they are not ideal ones).
So, as viewers were at least given the capacity to see how Kenny and Clem's relationship is plausible and how it has developed and their is evidence of it from season 1, even if not explicitly stated.
And in my viewership, there was nothing remotely bondish in the way Clem and Kenny crossed paths in S1, this season treats the whole situation like it's "old friends" reuniting when that simply isn't true according to S1.

I, as Lee, did not go along with everything Kenny said or did.
But I did have his back when it mattered.
So when Clementine went missing, … morehe immediately jumped into help find her, even though I had Lee volunteer to go alone.
And incidentally, I did not have Lee reveal his bite at that point.
Kenny only found out after Lee collapsed at the hospital.
So your saying: "If you don't have Kenny's back 100%, he abandons both Lee and Clementine," is not true in my case.
And when making decisions in the game, I made them based on my conscious.
And I found myself agreeing with Kenny for the most part.
Two biggest things I did not agree with him on were: Leaving that girl at the drugstore as bait, so they would've have enough time to gather all the supplies that were left.
To just leave to suffer such a horrible death, I just could not do that.
The second thing was: Dropping Ben from the bell tower.

It's an apocalypse. No one is perfect and everyone makes rash decisions.
If you truly believe Kenny doesn't care about Clem, you are dense, sir.
Determinant Kenny!
haha, I blame the Stranger for having batteries in the first place.
Totally agree, people who says that Ken doesn't care about Clem are just being blind Kenny haters.

Dropping Ben doesn't actually change your relationship with Kenny, it just adds different dialogue at the mansion.
I just wrote three paragraphs that explain their Season 2 relationship... There's a metric fuckton of emotion shared between them.
