I can't speak for other fans, but this quote had a lot of impact on me. I go through my own periods of depression - nothing dangerous, just the occasional funk here and there - and hearing Kenny utter these words, especially if you take into account everything he's already gone through, is nothing short of inspirational. Kenny kept going (to the annoyance and hostility of many fans, of course) exactly because that was a part of his character from the very beginning. He's emblematic of anyone who's ever had to walk through the fires of hell itself, and come out the other side.
Kenny is a man who's had every right to put a bullet in his brain since LONG ROAD AHEAD, but, for one inexplicable reason or another, didn't. That sort of tenacity takes guts, or madness, or both. That's why Telltale couldn't simply let him go, and why I couldn't either.

But this isn't a Kenny vs. Jane thread, this is a Kenny thread, therefore not belonging in that discussion. Why bring up Jane at all? Do you want people to come here and argue?

For me, it was because he had become family, demonstrated by how he always protected Clem.
Spot on, the man has been through some real s***. But he still keeps going, and like you said, the quote is nothing short of inspirational. I suppose I've had some 'feeling down' moments, and Kenny really is that guy who you want to be during that, no matter how bad it gets, you keep going, even if not for you, for the people you care about.
If that's the case then half the threads are Kenny vs. Jane threads, but half the threads shouldn't be merged with the Kenny vs Jane discussion. You can't moderate everything, especially the polarizing nature of the game's final decisions. It's easier to just ignore it if you don't want to get involved.

I never said they were... my point is that if you have a problem with this thread because to you it is apparently a Kenny vs Jane thread then you will likely have a problem with half the threads here since so many are about Kenny, etc. Once again, it's better to just not draw attention to them since the topics have been seen so many times they will die soon enough anyway.
I thought people were getting sick of threads with Kenny's name in them, so I tried being a little more considerate. I see that failed.
