It remains me how TT changed Kenny's death scene in Season 1. People'd be more confident about Christa's fate if they would've heard them talking like this in the game.
One more thing - the scavengers (well, Winston), had initially more lines to say, but it was cut off.

Good point, @Piggs, but like I said before, the original scene in the forest could be slighty different, less indicating that scavengers were just muderers.
Which has no impact to the story.

They lost their leader a long time ago when the cabin group fled because Carver lost his mind , he was the saddam hussein of TWD so good rid… moredance.
If its something he doesn't want to see then you can start to fear for your life(sarah cutting berries or talking to clem anyone?)
If you talk back to Carver like you do at everyone here you wouldn't last long
"Great! Well, just be careful, and use your best judgment. We're building a good community here, we want to keep it that way."
Something … moreclearly happened, which changed Carver. Maybe some new people he got in fucked up things. They probably got people he cared about dead, because of their incompetence and this is the reason he didnt like weak people around.
Hey fallandir! Great post, and good theories! I've been wanting to post for a while but had other things going on.
I came up with a few details that you may have missed! I've highlighted some facts in bold. I had written a whole lot more for #1, but decided to cut it bc it was too long (not that this still isn't long ). I write too many long posts these days. -_- lol
1 . Christa and the river-bodies
-When Christa was struggling with the bandits, there were no more gunshots after that first one we heard, indicating the struggle could've ended.
-The bodies Nick and Pete found were by a small stream, which looked to be about the same size, or at least a smaller branch off of a bigger one. I'm assuming it's connected to the slightly bigger stream that Clementine fell in, the same that Christa could've witnessed Clem falling in. Thus then Christa knew to follow the river to find Clementine, and that's why we see Victor/Clem's backpack/Winston's knife-stick are found there.
-That waterbottle wasn't in Clem's bag before at Clem's and Christa's camp; the bandits could've put it in there, so the bandits might've had some supplies still, or had some time to get some supplies together, or had time to raid Christa's and Clem's camp if Christa had had some water bottles in her things (though I didn't see any other personal belongings at their camp. Where's Christa's stuff? )
-The position we find Victor in at the river is as if he was reaching towards the water in Clem's bag, and the zipper was opened too. So he probably was trying to drink some water on his own, but he could've passed out while trying to get to it, before Clem finds him.
-Victor wasn't shown to have his own bag and having some bag for storage is better than nothing, so I suppose having a little girl's backpack (if he was hanging on to it) is better than nothing lol. Haha I'm just gonna imagine Victor walking around with a little purple and pink backpack on now; excuse me.
-Pete says, "Hope this isn't anyone you knew," to Clementine when pulling out the knife-stick, indicating the walker may have looked "fresh" to Pete and it could've been a person who had freshly died maybe because of that spear, rather than a walker that had been pinned down.
2 . Pete and the walkers
Pete's body was found with his guts torn open and a walker next to him. This walker could have been feasting on poor Pete; it has blood from its mouth down its neck (blue arrow). It should be noted there seems to be a bullet hole in the walker's head (maybe? not sure what else it could be) indicated by the yellow arrow as well as a bullet hole in Pete's head.
So possibly the shooter found the walker feasting on the still-alive Pete, and shot both of them one right after the other. However, they also didn't have to have been shot one right after the other...the walker could've been shot first, and the shooter may have spoken with Pete before delivering the merciful blow. OR the shooter could've still let Pete die from blood loss unmercifully, and then shot him to prevent him turning.
3 . On Carver and George:
What if "George" was Bill's brother like you said? Their parents may have thought it was fun to name their son after George Washington Carver (I got this idea from Matthew lol, who mentions George Washington Carver, the "peanut guy" if Clem asks about a "Carver"). Also, GWC was an inventor, which is similar to the engineering profession. If their parents named one of their kids after GWC, they may have thought engineering was a valuable profession and encouraged their kids to go into it. Hence, Bill Carver became an engineer.

I played this many times and I've never noticed a tricky waterbottle. :> Actually, we didn't see Christa carring backpack or any big bundles, neither before Omid's death nor after - obviously it doesn't mean that Clementine was the only one toting supplies - howewer if the scavengers had the time to get a bottle from somewhere, it implies they headed back to their camp or met with Roman (theory about him being the leader again) before they got attacked.
Haha I'm just gonna imagine Victor walking around with a little purple and pink backpack on now; excuse me.
Why did you put this image in my head? Dem girly stickers.

I really don't know, it looked like the typical zombie to me, probably some random walker model.
However, they also didn't have to have been shot one right after the other...the walker could've been shot first, and the shooter may have spoken with Pete before delivering the merciful blow.
Yeah, I've been thinking about Pete and the theory you pointed out seems the most logical. If he was alive and somebody shot the walker who was feasting on him (good God), they probably talked with each other before Pete died. If that was Carver, he migh've asked him about the Group and the place they found shelter. Maybe that's how he reached the Cabin.
It makes me wonder: even if the cabin group thought Carver was responsible for Pete's death, Nick never bothered to mention this at Carver's Camp. Sample dialogue to fix the lazy story-writing:
Luke: It's not great! Most of us are beat to shit or pregnant. Besides, it's risky as hell!
Mike: Risky? Did you see what this sonuvabich just did? Plan works. Nothing needs to change.
Nick: Luke, we can't stay here! No fucking way. Carver killed Pete, you saw that yourself!
Then again, Clementine finds his body behind a rock, following a blood trail leading straight to it - has Pete tried to crawl away from walkers, or someone dragged him?
Their parents may have thought it was fun to name their son after George Washington Carver.
Well, it wouldn't suprise me, naming children after the historical figures is pretty popular. Again, if George was Carver's brother, I can understand his behavior towards Alvin.

If I recall, Carver's reaction ("Oh yeah? What good does that make?") implies that he already knows that Pete's dead. Even if you left him to go with Nick, Pete still reanimated and probably would have been put down by Carver anyway.

Wow this is a great post! Sadly I think Christa might be KIA but I want to keep looking for her so we will know what happened. I like carvers character even more now as I find him very interesting. Guess I wasn't paying that much attention to dialogue and just went with the whole telltale write him bad train.

I still got the sense that he knew Pete was dead. After all, we know firsthand that Pete IS the type to trust a stranger - he trusted Clementine, and only allowed her to be locked up because it was a democratic decision. Carver knows these people better than Clem does.

XD Carver is a rich man!
Thanks, good theories BTW.

I'm almost 100% sure that those lines are directed at Clementine, not Christa.
I am too. But knowing they wouldn't kill Clementine makes Christa's fate a little brighter. At least could.
But they actually DO kill Clementine if you let them drag you away.
Yep, Winston kills you if you don't fight back. Victor even tells him to 'finish her'.
So I'm glad I denied Victor my water bottle.
Which has no impact to the story.

It could've been, but that's grasping at straws a little.
Of course it is, but I've seen worse. :>

The majority of characters have lost their minds.
But you can try to save everyone.
In this world, who isn't a murderer?
AJ
AJ killed Rebecca.
I dont think that sounded like Carver, it didnt sound like Troy either.
Maybe that was George.

Well AJ indirectly killed Rebecca in a technical way.
He planned it all along i tell ya !!!
All cozy in her womb planning, maybe he is Carvers son...

"I had a friend named George."
I still agree that George was probably quite important to Carver, to the same extent that Sarita, AJ and Clem were to Kenny.
He is a nice man, but small things seemed to trigger him easily.
