It's sad that people have to leave due to insults and stuff, but alas it is your choice after all. I just wish people wouldn't be such jerks to others.

This has been happening way too much, people are leaving, and there is more and more disrespectful behavior, trolling, spam, and insults. The forums were better before, but that's the past, we have to think about the future. Now I say to you. You stay strong, you keep your head up and stay strong on your opinion. I may not agree with you on the AJ situation but I know how it feels to be on the losing side, the minority. I'm sorry you feel the way you do, and if you truly believe you need to leave or take a break then that's okay.
It's hard seeing people leave, but they usually come back, so I hope that's the case with you. Everyone has different opinions and the more diverse the better for conversation. What's life without a little disagreement? I'd personally stick around if I were you, but whatever I guess. And I know it might seem like the same usual guys are ganging up against you.. but it's just kind of worked out that way. You should stay. Its the Internet, you can't expect to post your opinion without getting bombarded by hate. If it just ruins coming on the forums for you, take a break until the next TT game you are buying is released. By then, things will probably die down and it will become fun again.

Having the unpopular opinions can really suck sometimes. Especially when you want to be vocal about it... (I say this as a fan of Arvo and Jane, both seem to get a lot of hate. And fans of these characters get hate too, unfortunately. There's nothing wrong with hating characters, but I think anyone who sends hate to someone because they don't agree with that person's opinions is a shitty thing to do, honestly. It's just a game. People need to calm down.)
We never talked, but I noticed your name around here a number of times. The community has been pretty hostile with all the arguments and I don't blame you for wanting out. Just from what I've seen with other users, you'll probably come back and hopefully by that time there will be more civil discussions. Best of luck
Edit: I scanned over what I believe to be the argument, and I notice definite hypocrisy and a lack of accepting another's point of view. I really like some of the points you made, and I find it sad because it didn't seem like people were listening to you or even caring about what you said. I also think who you were arguing with played a factor in the whole thing. Whether it matters to you or not, I hope you stay on the forums because I think you have interesting ideas and aren't afraid to go against the majority.

On a serious note. I think you should stay. I've said different for other people but yes, there are some people out there on the internet that make it a lot less fun but I know the majority of us here will miss you.

No one said you have to sympathize with him. Just don't insult him, you can have good conversations without insults, trust me I've tried it.
Don't leave just because of members who don't like you for your opinion, just ignore them. Just ignore those assholes who are rude to you for having an opinion, I mean they're called opinions for a reason and someone is sensitive enough to get offended or disgusted or whatever is they feel about you just because of an opinion, then they're wrong because opinions shouldn't change how one views a person.
Example, it's like talking to somebody who is nice, funny and and an all around good person to talk to, then one day they reveal that they have an opinion that you disagree with. Only fools will stop talking to them because of that. Stay here and don't let those trolls affect you, the ones that claim their opinion is right and your doesn't matter because that's not true. There is no "right" or "wrong" opinions.
This is coming from somebody who gets a lot of hate from opinions and thoughts, so at least I can relate in some way, and the feeling of getting hate for having a simple opinion does suck.
If he can't handle the hate he should take a break. Some people need to take breaks once in a while..

Honestly, it's hard to have rational discussion regarding things like AJ. Things involving sacrificing or hating on people never was popular discussion wise because of how tense it got. Take out person and put in baby, and things turn political and personal.
I for one am very passionate when it comes to defending AJ. Passionate because I follow morality over survival, and to hear that someone is willing to kill a baby to save themselves sounds... evil in my eyes. I'm sorry to say, but it does. Nobody is comfortable with the idea of sacrificing a baby, and the ones who are are usually hardcore survivalists.
I understand your viewpoint but I don't agree with it; I think it is very morally sick, and I would rather die than become morally sick. All that stuff, saying it's cowardly, evil, stuff like that... honestly, what else can I say to defend my viewpoint? However, I would never take that context and put it to you in real life: I know you probably don't hate babies, you are speaking in a ZA scenario sense, which isn't real.

It's my view on it, and I believe it to be evil to sacrifice a baby for personal benefits. I'm sorry, but that is my viewpoint. I'm not going to withhold my viewpoint but let him speak his opinion freely. I am, believe it or not, offended by the fact that anyone would want a baby dead, so why do I have to be tolerant of their offending views yet they can't tolerate my offending views?
When I say it's evil, I am using the argument of, "Morality VS Survival". I am not literally calling him evil irl. I'm sorry if that's what it caused. I would never want to cause anyone purposeful harm.
I'm not over simplifying anything, insulting shouldn't be tolerated in a community no matter what.
