  • Actually, why did we have Rebecca when we could have used Christa's pregnancy as the 'baby plot' of Season 2?

It probably just was originally Christa in an earlier draft. You don't have to change too much to make it fit. Christa and Clem get separated in E1, then Clem gets reunited with her in E2 instead of Kenny. Christa's the first person to mention Wellington and Matthew says lots of people who cross his bridge are heading there. Not too big a stretch that if Christa escaped, she'd end up at Walter and Matthew's lodge, then decide to wait there in hope of Clementine coming the same way. Then when the baby's born there can be a callback to the conversation at the beginning of the game. There's actually a "Christa will remember that." for Clem's answer there, but not Omid, suggesting it would be flagged for something she says later.

But then you'd have to leave out the sixteen months later thing, and I'm guessing the people in charge really felt like they needed that. So with the time skip, that meant Christa's baby would have to be handled (i.e. forgotten) off-screen and she's replaced with a similar character with a baby on the way. Stupid time skip. =/

Yeah, I was misled into thinking that Christa being separated in ambiguous circumstances would have built up anticipation for her returning

  • I will hold a comment of silence for Lee:

    ...

  • I know, it's not really fair for Sarah because nobody ever taught her anything about how to survive so we really didn't know if she was going to turn out like Jaime, but in any case the fact that no one even talks about it when she dies is what really does it, I mean can't I at least have the option to be sad about it, because even if you act sad afterwards it's more because Jane left than Sarah died which kinda bugged me, I never hug Luke on my playthroughs because hitting him is just too funny and cute but that would have been a good moment to get that hug from Luke...

As for Omid and Christa, well I'd be OK with Omid dying but I really think the separation should have come from one of them having to choose between saving their baby and Clementine because it just seems more depressing and like it'd fit the mood of the game better, what you said is probably true though, at some point Christa was probably in the story instead of Kenny, I think I would have preferred that but that maybe because I didn't get along with Kenny in Season 1, but it would also have made more sense.

    Bokor posted: »

The whole point of killing off Omid in the beginning is to symbolically kill off Christa & Clem's chance at hope. I can get behind that

  • I didn't want to kill Carver either and I was pretty pissed at Kenny for killing him but I don't know if I'd want him alive, to be honest the horde plan seemed bad to me because there were lots of good people at Carver's camp and we kinda got them all killed so we could escape, so I would have voted for another escape plan that didn't involve getting Carver and his people killed because I didn't want to stay there either.

  • I wanted to stay honestly they had food and supplies to last a good bit. If Carver got worse than he was, I actually didn't mind what he was doing earlier, then I would bail during the night when I wasn't in the pen. I wasn't really mad with Kenneth I just said welp he got caught and now he's dead and I can't do anything about it. And then I left Kenneth to get his revenge as I didn't think Clem really needed to see it.

  • Well I was mad at Kenny because I don't approve of his revenge, if he had just shot him and gotten it over that way it would have been fine but he wasted everyone's time which was risky, sure it was only a minute or 2 but still it pissed me off, then again I was never in good standing with Kenny, I tend to lean towards the compassionate side so I didn't get along with him on season 1 and I wanted him to change after saving Ben but he didn't and I was really disappointed in him, I still thought he was a good character but I don't like him very much, he's an asshole.
Besides he didn't want to help me look for Clementine so I never really trusted him much on season 2 because of that as him caring for Clementine seemed rather dubious.

Well like I said I didn't want the camp to get overrun because I didn't want the people in there to die so that should make it pretty obvious why I wasn't happy with Kenny's behavior.

For some reason, all of the other deaths that occur in the game don't become that emotional for me after some time. The only death I will always get emotional at the sound of and that will probably never change is Lee.

  • RIP Lee. RIP sweet Clementine. RIP others.

  • Well. Here we go.

RIP Lee - The greatest man we ever knew. Dying and marching through death, but he doesn't give a damn because Clementine needs him. The greatest video game hero.

    Alt text Alt text

RIP Luke - the nicest guy in the group. Clementine's bro. He was too good for this world. Here's to the ending that Telltale changed at the last minute, and the hope we may see it one day.

RIP Nick - The realest character in TWD game. Suffered so much and all he wanted was to help out his friends.

    Alt text

RIP Sarah - Most innocent of all of the characters. Too much pain she suffered in death.

RIP Maybelle - Everyone forgot about you after they killed your masters.

  • I've already made peace with everyone's death. No point in crying over spilled milk.

I wish i could feel again.
