The show gets too much shit from ttg's /FANS/. Opinions & s5e1 [tldr;WATCH IT]
I've seen majority of people here saying how the show is "bad" and "horrible" and that made me actually consider finishing it.
But then, I realized. "Why the fuck am I even considering what these /dedicated fans/ are saying? Majority of the people are fans of Amid The Ruins! It must be good since they're fan of bad writing." And so I gave twd a chance and I literally just binged watched the whole season 4 even though I was planning on watching just around 2-3. That's how good this is.
Season 4's writing is brilliant. It's twisted, good, suspenseful and it has great character development AND no stupid badly written character deaths. People who shit talk the show probably watched 1 episode of season 1 or 2, or probably haven't even watched the series themselves. Season 4 is better than Season 2 of twd by ttg, 100%.
So If you're considering in watching this tv show, i highly recommend it. it's awesome and it doesn't deserve the shit it gets from people at all.

also something I noticed in season 5 episode 1 is that It's basically episode 3 of s2 game. A herd going into a camp where the main group is being held at, Carol herd surfing her way in to destroy the place, there's a baby, oh and the place/camp falls down and is destroyed w/ the people. Too much of a coincidence, but I don't mind it at all. I find really neat that the writers actually did that. 8/10.

I'm going to start watching TWD again, I'm just hoping the rest of the T.V. series isn't as boring as S3 was.
Season 3 was slow, but season 4 picks it up and isn't boring. It only depends on your character preferences though since each episodes are focused on different characters mid season.

Yeah, season 4 was good because the season 2/3 showrunner was replaced. I am not a fan of the show (the comic and the game are mostly all I like), but I think the pilot and everything Scott Gimple did was great. Oh, and Clear was good too.
So because of the hype it makes it a bad show? Excellent point!
This is why i didn't listen to any of you guys and actually went on to watch the show. I regret nothing at all. Maybe now i'll ask a few things to you guys and if you guys say something, i'll do the exact opposite.
also try not to go off topic, if you have some personal beef with me then message me or go gossip with your other friends. It isn't nice for you to call me a dick and assuming so much. Life is going pretty good so far just in case you were wondering.
i never said it was bad show. i actually like the show a lot and thought the season 5 opener was amazing.
Totally agree. Walking dead is an awesome show and S5 E1 was awesome. Carol and Tyreese stole the show . Especially Carol I loved the scene with her and Daryl hugging.
Though I don't think the show was copying the game, but who knows maybe they did :P
People have opinions. Let them express them without being labelled 'sheep' or 'children'. There are many reasons as to why someone might dislike the show, and it's perfectly reasonable to. Without Frank Darabont I personally think the show's a disaster... Shane Walsh's development was the only thing keeping me interested and after he was put down I had no reason to continue watching seeing as it bored me.
calling all people who hate the tv show kids is pretty stupid anyway imo out of the three media forms (comics, game and tv show) the tv show is the worst one but it is still great also amid the ruins was a good episode people only hate on it because of nick's death

OMG!
Yeah, a lot of players from the game consider the show bad just because it isn't as good as the game. The show isn't bad at all. I mean, there have been a few bad episodes but the overall series has been good. I only liked the first half of Season 4 however, the second half just felt all over the place to me.
I really liked season one, Season two was awesome but i remember it dragged on a bit at the farm, Season 3 had explosive action, Season 4 was amazing in the first half, second half was still good, Ep 1 of Season 5 was awesome.
You're a good example. You only have rights to say that season was bad. You saying the show is a "disaster" is illogical since you're way behind. I personally think it was a good, well written death and totally his character.
honestly I love the character development and how the stories played out. It really reminds me of 400 days. Right? I can't be the only one lol.
that's all you should've said, the rest was unnecessary and out of topic.
yeah it probably wasn't but you don't have to be an asshole. that's the only reason i said what i did.
you didn't have to flag it. why'd you even flag it? its not necessary.
Flagged. End of discussion, if there is anybody else wanting beef and needing to vent, please contact a mod or a personal therapist. Thank you.
i see what i said had some effect on you considering you just changed the title of the post.
I never said his death was bad. His absence from the show meant there was nothing left to engage me... I have rights to say whatever I want, that's freedom of speech. I didn't give a flying fuck about any of the characters and wasn't going to drag myself through tons of horse shit to reach the juicy scenes... If only certain parts of a show are good, then it's not enjoyable.
I knew Morgan would return!!!!!!!!!
I have watched it, i couldn't stand it. If i have to watch another episode of it, i will drown myself.
I absolutely agree. The show is brilliant.
I remember them saying that Morgan would return again in season 5. Its good to see him again!
When I saw this scene I got goosebumps, He is one of the only ones that has really been there from the beginning of the series in the very first episode. He is like the Kenny of the TV show.
They've got a good writer again!
Season 4 was honestly dealing with the mess season 3 was left in. (Seasons 3's writer was just terrible)
Season 5 I have very high hopes for, I mean the new writer turned Carol from a background character to a fan favourite
No, they didn't, lol. If anything, they were probably basing it on the comics, in fact, I'm sure of it, because the cannibal story is from the comic.
Its just an opinion that it's not as good as that game. I think it is.
Exactly. And for the first time I think the show is doing it better.
Definetly agree. The show is far better than the state of TWDG at the moment.
i really do not get people who say, it gets better in season 4.
how could you watch that shit so long? i had to force my way to mid season 2.
i usually finished the series i start watching, even if they are bad... but that garbage?!
you really have to give huge credit to telltale, for making the best narrative in video games out of something like that. i can not wait to see what they can do with an actually great franchise like game of thrones.
I just honestly don't like the show. I adore the comics and the game but the show? No.
I just can't get into it and I would of liked it to follow the comics more. Carol should be dead. Judith would of died with Lori. Daryll wouldn't of even existed. Dale would of died in a more heroic way. Rick would only have one hand. The governor would of been tortured. etc etc etc.
I know they can't add everything but they missed out some of the best parts. Everyone has an opinion and mine is that I can't get along with the TV show so therefore i'm not watching season 5.
Ugh.
Its not just the show. I've been meaning to bring up this topic for a while. Most of the TTG Walking Dead's fanbase are arrogant and delusional. I hate sometimes viewing comments on Facebook and YouTube because they are all like "Telltale, please ditch this crappy game (in regards to TFTB, GoT, and TWAU) and focus on what your fans actually want, TWD s3" Like they can speak for all of the fans!
Basically, I love this game and the fanbase is usually fun to talk with, but they can be really arrogant when it comes to something other than the game sometimes, including the show.
Thank you!!!!
Your name makes me remember Scooby-Doo.
I read a great interview with the current showrunner and he says that he's actually working to bring moments from the comic to life. We got one last season, making a grand total of two payoffs from the comics that made it to the show. If they actually get to the scenes I want to see brought to life and make them somehow better, I'll take back everything I said during season 3.
Well, clearly you are not a fan but 17 million people are (premiere beat it's own record again.)
I think there was more then one reference to the comic last season. Which one are you thinking of?
I agree, I hate when people act like all we want is TWDG season whatever. I like the series but not exclusively.
