What do you mean by unpreventable death? Jane could have either left the baby behind to die, or died together with the baby by trying to protect it. There was no such thing like " it was an accident " in this particular situation.

Ok. I'll bite. Let's play the blame game. It's Kenny's fault that Mike and Bonnie left the group because of his maniacal treatment of Arvo, a defenseless kid with no power at all to fight back. It's the groups fault for being too stupid to walk around the lake which results in Luke's death which causes the group to fall apart. It's Kenny's fault for throwing the first punch. It's Jane's fault for not telling Kenny AJ wasn't dead. It's Kenny's fault for being too Kenny to even consider any kind of reasoning. If he had talked it out, then Jane would look like a heartless bastard, revealing AJ was still alive. But since he was willing to murder the last member of the group in pure cold blooded rage, that's why he is as much to blame as Jane. Jane started it, but Kenny escalated it.

The logic is that Rick had a plausible reason to tear out the guys throat as it was happening right in front of him and it required immediate action. Plus Carl is a legitimate character and Rick's son, while AJ is just a baby. Kenny had no proof that Jane had murdered AJ. He came to that conclusion all by himself then in a rage of pure bloodlust, he intends to murder her in cold blood. It's just so screwed up.
