Make up a character's backstory
I think since we don't really know allot about each character's backstory that we could all make one up for a character. A character's backstory can determine how the player feels about that character and helps us to understand their intentions and perspectives. Allot of these characters deserve a backstory and but only have pieces of one, so let's make up backstories for characters and see how others feel about that backstory. Anything can happen in a backstory and let's comment on these backstories as if they were real 
It doesn't have to be a full backstory it could just be moments in their lives, like the loss of loved ones or great accomplishments!

Lilly's backstory:
When Lilly was the age of 7 she had lost her mother to an illness, Lilly stayed in the Hospital with Larry hoping for the best and when her mother left her, Larry was the only one there to comfort her sadness and to hold her hand and join her in mourning the loss of a loved one. This death hit Lilly especially hard as her mother was the only one who truly understood her and Lilly felt as though her mother was her rock, her place of comfort.
When Lilly was a teenager she had her first romance, after mourning the loss of her mother for many years she found someone new she could love. One night when they were meeting up for a date, a shootout occurred, Lilly saw police officers and a crowd near an alleyway and she found her new loved one laying on the ground, blood pouring from his shoulders and eyes staring off into the distance. When she mourned the loss of yet another loved, Larry was there again to comfort her. She then started to fear being affection for people because of the seemingly high chance that they would meet their fate and she would pay a broken heart as a price.
When Lilly was new to the air force and she was going on her first mission with some of her accomplices, the squadron was attacked by a rebel group, Lilly did all she could to prevent her allies from getting injured, but they were the ones who managed to save her by forcing her to escape while they met their fates in an explosion. Lilly even endures a life threatening experience just trying to escape, she blames her weakness for her accomplices' demise and she began to dislike weakness. Lilly again mourned the death of those close to her and yet again Larry went out of his way to be Lilly's rock where she could find comfort.
This is when Lilly started to realize that Larry was the only reason she didn't go on the verge of insanity, she found that as long as Larry was by her side, she would always feel safe and always find comfort no matter what happens.
Arvo: An abandoned baby found on the side of the road in a cardboard box. Lived in a cupboard in a drug abusers house. When the za came he grew wings and became a shitbird and flew away to the USA.
I have a weirrd idea about Carver's story that he never had children so when he found a kid in the apocalypse, he started to care for him. However, a kid either died or abandoned Bill because of his new cruel behavior. It was a breaking point for him. It also explains why he was obsessed with AJ.
Nick's Story
Nick grew up with an asshole of a dad, always drunk and yelling. Because his dad was never around, his mom's brother, Uncle Pete took it upon himself to teach the boy how to grow up. Nick also had a childhood friend whose name was Luke and saw past his sullen demeanor for the loyal and caring person he truly was. One day Pete took Nick hunting. He was ten years old at the time. Pete showed NIck how to hold a gun and how to brace himself against the kick. Pete always emphasized "Keep your finger off the trigger." Nick didn't get why. If he wanted to shoot something, he should be able to shoot it quicker with his finger on the trigger. So he kept his finger on the trigger.
They came across a beautiful young buck that was grazing in the spring fields. "Alright son." Pete said. "Just do what I taught you. Go on now. Do it." Nick took a deep breathe, focused, took aim, and....he couldn't do it. He couldn't pull the trigger. It was so peaceful and...alive. He didn't want to ruin it. Irritated, Pete began to yell "What are you doing boy? Shoot it!" Nick turned to yell back at Pete but then the gun went off. The bullet embedded itself in the ground near Pete's ankle. "God damn it!" Pete shouted. "You almost shot my foot off! Now you shoot that deer or I swear I will shoot it for you!" "I can't..." Nick whispered.
Nick, almost in tears, dropped the gun, not caring if it went off again. He ran. He ran until he came to the front porch of his best friends house. Luke. Luke always was calm and logical in every situation. Nick admired that about him. He wished he could be more like Luke. He just wasn't built like that though. And yet, he felt happy around Luke. Luke came outside. The two talked. "Hey, listen. Pete's a good guy you know. He wants to help you." Luke said. "It can't be easy growing up without a dad." Nick knew. He shrugged and bit at his thumb, a nervous habit of his when he was thinking. Luke considered this for a moment. "Wait here" he said. He went back inside the house and came out holding a red baseball cap with a yellow C logo on it. "What is it?" Nick asked. "It was...it was my dad's" Luke said. "It's all I have left of him. I want you to have it."
Nick trudged home, exhausted from the long day. Silently opening the door to his house, he tried to sneak in to his room. Pete was sitting at the kitchen table. On the table was the buck from before, it's leg splayed out and it's eyes glassy and lifeless. Nick stared dumbfoundedly. Pete stared back sternly. "That's how you do it son." He said matter of factly.
Kenny
Kenny was a part of the Ku Klux Klan all throughout his life. He was very abusive to Katjaa (which is the true reason she offed herself) as well as Duck. He was an alcoholic and he has a history of being very sexually frustrated and confused.

Mike
Mike learned how to shoot at the age of 3. Became an Marine by the age of 9. He is said to have killed a man with his bare hands at the age of 12. And once wrestled with a grizzly bear and won.
I said that he was obsessed with AJ and his obsession mixed with rage made him say that. I think that something clicked in his head after kid's death/betrayal so that's why he went crazy.

It does make a lot of sense though if you think about it.
He hated Lee unless he was Kenny's "slave," hates Jane for saving his life because he knows he'd never have her, and only likes AJ cause he's a least half "pure" seeing as though it's Carver's.

They have been saying it was an accident.
It wasn't, according to Carver. But then again, he was lying bastard. I wonder if people would dislike/hate Alvin if he really murdered some poor kid. He had his reasons and it might've been an accident like you say, but still.
Yeah, I wish we got more backstory.
