The town across the river...

Has anyone remembered what the destination was before the finale? The group was heading towards a town that was across the river.

Maybe if they headed there in the first place, things would've gone better?

  • They couldn't go there because they needed Nick to guide them to the river.

Yeah but they decided it's better to follow Arvo, a kid who had recently lead his group to steal Clementine's group's supplies, instead of going to their original destination and the reason they risked Rebecca's well-being.

  • Copy and Paste:

My guess why they went there instead of the town is this. 1) I believe they said the town was on the other side of a river? (Don't quote that, but I think that's what I remember) 2) He said it was close 3) There would most definitely be foot, warmth, shelter, etc. because the Russian group had been surviving there. Something the town didn't promise.

  • Nick's just like welp, my fate is sealed. You're all fucked.

  • Arvo said he had supplies and the town might have supplies. So it was go to the town and risk it, or play it safe and go to Arvo's.

  • I made a thread on this (not saying take this down, because I don't want to revive a dead thread) and it seems like the writer transition caused a massive change to the plot.

  • Thats where Beth is being held up by the priest, so we cant go there.

  • Makes it even worse when during the decision whether or not to trust Arvo Jane says they should go "unless someone has a better plan", why they didn't mention the town is anyone's guess, especially since Kenny was saying everyone needs to keep up if they want to reach it before nightfall literally 10 minutes ago.

  • Aw damn. I apologize.

But in my defense, there is, like, nearly 800 pages full of threads.

  • I was actually curious to see that town.
