Did Nick remind you of Kenny?

In many ways, Nick did remind me of Kenny.
Especially his temper.
The way I see it, Nick is what Kenny was, 20 years ago.

  • To be honest, I never really thought of comparing the two.

  • I can see some of the similarities people point out, but I don't really see them that way. They both had different arcs and some differences in their characterization.

  • Nick reminds me more of Ben than Kenny

  • If you did, what would be your analysis?

  • Nick was like a weird blend of the two.

  • I thought Nick was Kenny in S2 Ep1 trailer. I thought they were bringing Kenny back in the first episode (the mullet and the cap and all XD). He kinda looks like a younger Kenny, though their personalities aren't that alike.

  • The hat? The mullet? The temper?

No, can't say it ever crossed my mind.

  • Nope. I liked Nick in Season 2. I didn't like Kenny.

  • He was a combo of Ben and Kenny.

  • I guess it's time to do some research lol

  • To me, Nick is a mixture of both Ben and Kenny because he seems to have given up all hope just like Ben and he also has a temper just like Kenny.

  • Thats what i thought , saw the trailer and saw the cap and mullet and thought Kenny

  • Some parts of them are similar, but not enough for me to really compare them as overall characters.

Kenny is very determined, something Nick really isn't. Kenny is also more of a leader than Nick is, even though he doesn't just take sh!t.

Nick knows where the f'ing river is, but he hasn't found a boat yet, like Kenny.

When I was playing the 1st episode of Season 2, Nick's temper, some of his basic attitude, even some of gestures and facial expressions, reminded me a lot of Kenny.
Wouldn't have been a mind-bender if it was somehow revealed that Kenny was Nick's biological father, that his mom was an old girlfriend of Kenny's, and that the no good son of bitch who was thought to be Nick's father; was actually his stepfather?
I mean that would've been like: "Who would've thunk it?"

Now that I've typed it, I actually like the idea.
To bad telltale didn't do that!
Would've made for one hell of an addition to the story for this Season.

  • I did think a little about Kenny. But I also see Ben. What I'm thinking is that if you take Kenny, reverse his life by 20 years, and then biologically fuse his brain with Ben's, you could switch out the result with Nick's brain, despite altered memories, he'd for all intents and purposes still think and act like Nick.

    Nick = Ben

Both have amassed a lot of fans for simply being the sad perpetually suffering fuck-ups. I'm not scared to say I didn't like Nick or his struggles, nor could I even remotely identify with him at all.

[Shoots a man on a bridge who had his gun lowered and was talking amicably to two friends]

Nick: "Dur, how was I s'posse to know. Derp. Hey Clementine, will there be rabbits where we're going?"

Clementine: "Yes Nick, lots and lots. Now shut up and look over there."

    [Shoots Nick execution style]

I really disagree, what would it have added? Also not everyone in this world has to be related, Nick facially still looks very different so it is unlikely anyway

  • Similarities:

Kenny and Nick have both been shown to have trouble controlling their anger at times.

Kenny and Nick are both determinant.

Kenny and Nick both have 2 different deaths in Season 2.

Kenny and Nick both wear a hat.

Kenny and Nick have both lost the only 2 relatives we know they have, Nick lost his mother and Pete, while Kenny lost Katjaa and Duck.

Kenny and Nick have both killed someone without hesitation.

Kenny and Nick's character models have some physical similarities.

Kenny and Nick both see Clementine again after the possibility that they had met their fate.

Kenny and Nick disliked people talking about them.

Kenny and Nick have both brought up the past in a moment of tension, Nick talking about how they let a bite victim join the group before and it turned out badly and Kenny talking about the consequence of the group's decision to prolong their stay at the Motor Inn when they had the R.V. working.

Kenny and determinantly Nick both give Clementine some blame for the death of a loved one, although Nick only blames Clementine during Pete's death while Kenny forwards his anger towards Clementine during and after Sarita's death.

Kenny and Nick both have a drinking problem.

Kenny and Nick are both hesitant to give their weapons up when Clementine first arrived at the Ski Lodge.

Kenny and Nick both insult someone else for having a different agenda, by the tone of Nick's voice it seems as though he didn't buy what Kenny was talking about at the dinner table about going up North to Wellington and Kenny insults Mike, Jane and jokes about Clementine's suggestions for a place to go.

There's probably allot more this was just a quick draft XD
