I was with Jane and the family at the end. I shot Kenny because I didn't know AJ was still alive. Jane said it was an accident, so I assumed she accidentally dropped him in the snow or something, and I thought it was wrong that Kenny was going to kill someone because of something she had no control over (if she proudly said she murdered AJ, I'd let him kill her because that's messed up). I was SO annoyed when I found out he was alive, but I forgave Jane and went with her anyway because I would feel too guilty leaving her on her own. Hopefully she learned her lesson, because if she tries to pull something like that off again, I'm leaving her. I let the family in because I know for sure that some strangers can be good (Lee, Carley, Molly, Omid, just to name a few ), and let's face it, they're probably gonna die anyway.
I chose Kenny and AJ and declined the invitation for Wellington...
Its still more people around you then when the credits started to roll in seas1 and you were alone
I chose Jane because I am opposed to attacking women & Kenny was wrong. I ended up with her and AJ because being in this world, one per… moreson cannot possibly raise a child on his/her own. I turned the family down because dude seemed very shady and there was not enough food stocked for a long time.

But you could've also chose to save Jane and not go with her because of that setup against Clementine and Kenny. What made you realise that going with Jane is the best option?
Well it ain't that hard to break a "strong" connection with someone for me. Clementine and Kenny never had a strong connection in season 1, just makes it weird because you played as Lee. so... Yeah.
A.J. in Wellington. It was so, so, so hard to leave Kenny. I knew I had to, but I was with him for so long, and I felt a strong connection to him since season 1. Somehow, just... I hope Kenny pulls through. I cried myself to sleep that night. :I
I picked Kenny because I felft betrayed by Jane, I expected better coming from her, that's why I was nice to her throughout the whole episode up to that point. And also I found it very hard to shoot Kenny because compared to Jane, we have more history with him. And finally I think that he can take care of AJ better than Jane because he had kids. However the alone ending is really interesting and it's the one that makes me wonder the most what Clem's future will be!
Because I lived with a domestically violent father who was prong to anger easily. I saw my mother's mouth full with blood on one occassin and beat my sister for any little imperfection. To me attacking women like that is not cool. And I have my own anger issues that have turned women off.
OF COURSE it isn't, but you made it sound like attacking women is not ok while attacking men is totally fine, sorry if I took it the wrong way, it's wrong to attack people for the wrong reasons but if it's a man or a woman doesn't mean shit.

Well I thought about a lot when Clementine had the chance to save Jane or shoot Kenny (basically the same thing, in order to save Jane you had to shoot Kenny, but whatever).
I thought about:
What if you choose to shoot Kenny? Will it kill him or just injure him.
Jane wanted to show this to Clementine, she was so dedicated to her act that she rather dies than saying that the baby is safe.
Jane made a setup just to prove that Kenny would go nuts if something would've happend to the baby (and in that situation it surely looked like Jane was the cause of the baby's death. so I don't blame Kenny. She should've explained herself instead of waiting to see Kenny's reaction).
Jane is obsessed with Clementine, there are so many facts that support this.
Kenny is dangerous / insane but so is Jane. They both had their freaks, and both were diffrent.
Also had a dark thought: What if I let Kenny kill Jane, and then kill Kenny? this way I won't see them again in further episodes, genius. (I didn't know it was possible to shoot Kenny after obviously, but I did take it in mind). oh and I also thought about the time that Kenny said it wouldn't happen again. Well guess what just happend.
it =
Kenny promised Clementine that he wouldn't do anything like what he did to Arvo again.
what =
He broke the promise to Clementine that it wouldn't happen again (he attacked Jane)
I didn't make a concious decision to go with anyone. It's not like I saw "Go with Kenny" or "Go With Jane" as options.
I shot Kenny in the heat of the moment, and left Jane in the heat of the moment. I'm not going to justify my actions.
Nah I get it. I don't know your age or where you reside so I can't judge you harshly. It's not okay to attack people at all but considering the general body built discrepency it is almost unacceptable to attack a woman.
OF COURSE it isn't, but you made it sound like attacking women is not ok while attacking men is totally fine, sorry if I took it the wrong way, it's wrong to attack people for the wrong reasons but if it's a man or a woman doesn't mean shit.
wait what when? If that's true I must've forgotten it.
In my playthrough of season 1 I supported Kenny a lot, because he shown some good points. I sided with him quite often but I believe I disagreed with him once or twice at the max.
I remembered when Lee asked for Kenny's help and Kenny was hesitating if he should help Lee finding Clementine. (disregard the fact that Lee supported Kenny TONS of time he still says: "I don't know Lee, would you do this for me if I were in this position?" it's not a 100% accurate quote but it's somewhere similair.)
I can't recall anything from Kenny where he saved Clementine's life, or protected her from severe harm. (please correct me if i'm wrong, like I said earlier I must've forgotten this)
By the way, if you think that Kenny took a beating for Clementine in season 2, well that's half true. (if that's even scientifically possible)
Here's a quote from my thread:
Example 2: forces Clementine to get the walkie talkies "it's you or no one, so you're nominated" while Sarah is sitting there, she surely doesn't weights a lot more than Clementine.
and later he eventually forces / manipulates Clementine to bring the walkie talkie to Luke.
Then he takes the walkie talkie from Clementine when Carver found out of this stupid plan where they had to steal walkie talkie's. (like seriously; how dumb can you be if you'd expect them NOT to search the place after two missing functioning walkie talkies which are in the first place hard to find in a apocalpyse. oh and don't even mention Luke, in what shape he was.)
By the way do you mean that he protected Clementine in season 1? because that's my understanding right now.
Oh and in season 2, well same thing as in season 1. He didn't protected Clementine. He saw Clementine more like a memory of Lee and as a advantage to several diffrent situations. not much as a kid. also, he felt bad a lot of times about what he has done to Clementine, how he was behaving against her. and probably thought back about Lee and felt like he should look after Clementine. Y'know... (I'm saying this because Kenny ain't much of a "friendly" person "anymore". after he punched a kid almost to death, he seems not to care about age. i'm not trying to defend Arvo. I hate him.)
If you're reading anything that's not true or partly true in my comment, please bring it up in a reply. I might've written this too quick.
I also didn't forgot the moments where Kenny was so glad to see Clementine again, please don't bring those up in the replies to this comment.
I agree that Kenny is / was still the same. That ruined it for me, I really didn't wanted to see him again like that. That has also been a reason for me to end it. (not be lethal action per se) He shouldn't be playing any longer in the walking dead. I mean. Come on.
I'm at Howe's with Jane and the strange "family." Kenny was going to murder Jane in cold blood for something that at the time could have bee… moren something out of her control. I couldn't handle seeing Kenny do that. I thought he had been through enough tbh. The writers forced him to repeat his arc in Season 1 all over again.
I now see why people chose to go with either Kenny or Jane. Either for protection, or because they thought that they'd deserve a second chance.
For me it's diffrent. If someone has been severely more wrong than good; I prefer to immediately break the connection. After he / she hasn't shown any progress of good karma of course.
Yeah well she set you (Clementine) and Kenny up, because she's so obsessed with Clementine. She shouldn't have done such a stupid thing just to prove what he was capable of.
And also I found it very hard to shoot Kenny because compared to Jane, we have more history with him.
The question is: Did he do a lot for Clementine? or did Clementine just thought he did when she was young. (or not at all)
I'd like to stay in my "Clementine role" where I think about the connections between her and the others around her. Clementine wasn't really close with Kenny, he was with the player / Lee. (depending on your playthrough). So yeah sure you know a lot about Kenny, but:
"You know each others for quite some time, Sooner or later you're gonna have to decide how much that's worth." - Jane
And finally I think that he can take care of AJ better than Jane because he had kids.
I picked Kenny because I felft betrayed by Jane, I expected better coming from her, that's why I was nice to her throughout the whole episod… moree up to that point. The whole subject about men and women is Off-topic but i'll debate you on this;
Just to be clear:
Are you saying that all women are somewhat "divine" and thus shouldn't be harmed at all?
Because if you'd talk scientifically about it, it would've been something like this:
"The male version of the humanoid is made of meat and water. It has organs, brains.. bla bla etc."
"The opposite sex, the female shouldn't be harmed because of its divine body structure. disregard of this individuals intentions, One shall not simply attack this sex."
I'm not trying to be rude or to disrespect you, but I must say that
I am opposed to attacking women
and
considering the general body built discrepency it is almost unacceptable to attack a woman.
is absolutely ridiculous. It's the zombie apocalpyse and women are also humans. we all carry a brain in our skull, and men and women aren't much diffrent from each other, structurally spoken.
with all those statements you made you're basically saying: "I rather die then killing or harming a women that's trying to kill or harm me."
Nah I get it. I don't know your age or where you reside so I can't judge you harshly. It's not okay to attack people at all but considering the general body built discrepency it is almost unacceptable to attack a woman.
I chose Kenny and AJ and declined the invitation for Wellington...
Its still more people around you then when the credits started to roll in seas1 and you were alone
Jane was all like: "YEAH I can finally execute my plan now! Clementine will manage just fine through the snowstorm. Now i'll just need to find a place to hide AJ. Hmmm. Where should I hide him?"
I saved Jane because I would've felt guilty if I just watched her die, and I went with her because I figured that was better than Clementine being alone.
I approve your choice Thematt9001. It's indeed better than leaving her alone with AJ. and not letting Jane die for something stupid is sane to.
also, lol at this "not being a Kenny vs. Jane thread" when you really don't like Jane that much.
That's obviously not what I ment. I don't like either of them, and with the line:
Please don't make this a Kenny vs. Jane thread, I'm trying to avoid that. Thanks!
I meant that people shouldn't shout around "Kenny is bettar!" and visa versa, but just express yourself about the subject:
I saved Jane because I would've felt guilty if I just watched her die, and I went with her because I figured that was better than Clementine… more being alone.
also, lol at this "not being a Kenny vs. Jane thread" when you really don't like Jane that much.
If Kenny killed Jane because he thought she killed the baby and you killed Kenny because he killed Jane, shouldn't someone now kill Clem because she killed Kenny?
At first I ended up with Jane but the pity and regret were eating me out so I stated it as my biggest mistake and rewinded to get another ending. I'm glad that I picked the Kenny ending.
A dialogue option didn't went as you expected (you've thought it to do something else / confusion)
you've watched gameplay from others and spoiled it for yourself (then you know exactly what choices to make aka cheating)
I shouldn't make a list of it. I believe it's all very obvious, everyone in this community is intelligent enough to understand, that's why I like to be on this forum
I picked Kenny. He has been through enough, losing his family, girlfriend, his friends... I mean let's put ourselves in his position, everyone… more will lose it at some point. His love for Clem and Aj is somehow honest and he takes them as his own children. Overall, I would say that Kenny may in fact be one of the most well written character in gaming history imo and probably he's one of the most realistic character in the game.
They all could've prevented Luke's death at that day. by just not crossing the goddamn lake.
oh and if you knew what Arvo was saying while he spoke Russian, you know that he manipulated everyone, for some it wasn't obvious untill they heard what he was saying. I already knew that Arvo would've do anything to get himself out of that situation.
just an example here; Arvo ran away from the group that captured him while they were all distracted, When Luke fell through the Ice.
Example 4: Shouts at Arvo "This is your fucking fault!" and Bonnie then says to Kenny "It's your fault and you damn well know it". Kenny the… moren thinks about what he has done wrong.
OK, so I've never understood this. In my opinion Luke's death wasn't really anyone's fault (unless you insist that Clem could have prevented it by warning Luke of the crack or Bonnie being a dumbass). After all, it's not like Arvo and Kenny running on the ice impacted Luke falling through it in any way.
Trying to blame Kenny for the death will always go through Arvo as an intermediate, at which point it is simpler to blame him for the death.
I now see why people chose to go with either Kenny or Jane. Either for protection, or because they thought that they'd deserve a second chan… morece.
For me it's diffrent. If someone has been severely more wrong than good; I prefer to immediately break the connection. After he / she hasn't shown any progress of good karma of course.
Jane: Someone who cares for Clementine, yet tried to deceive her into killing someone and devised an entire plan just to spark a conflict nobody would win.
Kenny: Someone who cares for Clementine, yet tried to murder one of the last people in the group because of a hunch.
Or, Alone: Finally free from people who deceive and people who can't just stop and think through things. Free... except the damn baby.
Pick your poison.
Jane: Someone who cares for Clementine, yet tried to deceive her into killing someone and devised an entire plan just t… moreo spark a conflict nobody would win.
Kenny: Someone who cares for Clementine, yet tried to murder one of the last people in the group because of a hunch.

But you could've also chose to save Jane and not go with her because of that setup against Clementine and Kenny. What made you realise that going with Jane is the best option?
In the translation I saw, Arvo says in Russian that the ice is strong and then repeats the same in English. I don't remember him saying anything that made it obvious he was manipulating them. I highly doubt he planned for the ice to crack and kill everyone, it would have been too big of a risk and he may have ended up dying too, and it seems like he really wants to survive. Furthermore, Arvo's group may have crossed the ice before, but they were only a group of 4. Clementine's group was larger so that probably added to the risk. (7 people including Arvo was crossing.) He starts running as soon as he sees the walkers coming, it was most likely out of fear of them, and then later on he doesn't stop running because Kenny was chasing him. But I guess it is up for interpretation, perhaps he really did have some master plan to kill them all, but I don't think that was the case. I'll also add that Kenny wanted to go across the ice too, it wasn't just Arvo.
And the ice cracks a little bit when Clem walks on it, and when the two walkers fall in. I don't know if Luke's situation came directly from Arvo falling in. (It could have been though.)
They all could've prevented Luke's death at that day. by just not crossing the goddamn lake.
oh and if you knew what Arvo was saying whil… moree he spoke Russian, you know that he manipulated everyone, for some it wasn't obvious untill they heard what he was saying. I already knew that Arvo would've do anything to get himself out of that situation.

So, Yes. I believe Arvo knew about the Ice.
Well, hopefully the baby won't weigh down Clementine by the time she makes it to her destination. Wherever that is.
The only reason I say Mexico is because Clementine can state her interest in heading to Mexico. And since the "Alone ending" is ambiguous, I believe she'll head to Mexico.

I left to Wellington, and I stand by it.
Why are you opposed to "attacking women"? What makes them untouchable?

May I ask why? I wan't to know more about people that chose to go with Jane after that setup of hers.
Well it ain't that hard to break a "strong" connection with someone for me. Clementine and Kenny never had a strong connection in season 1, just makes it weird because you played as Lee. so... Yeah.

Good choice I must say. I'd also rather stay in a safe community than with Kenny and / or Jane.
but I'm still unsure about Wellington. we know nothing about it.
I must say that I hate the dialogue between Kenny and Clementine when you choose to decline the invitation to Wellington.
Kenny: "You're as stubborn as a damn mule" - or something among those lines
Clementine: "Guess from who I got that." - I can't recall the exact lines.
Jane abandoned Clementine at the car crash.
Jane was all like: "YEAH I can finally execute my plan now! Clementine will manage just fine through the snowstorm. Now i'll just need to find a place to hide AJ. Hmmm. Where should I hide him?"

So, Yes. I believe Arvo knew about the Ice.
EDIT :
I'll come back to this later ( don't have time right now )
Thats exactly how I feel about Kenny.
Pick your poison.
It was a tough choice... for some.
I didn't really pick Jane, I was just trying to prevent Kenny from killing somebody. But after Clementine found AJ, I decided to go with her because I didn't want Clem to be alone.
It was too easy for me. Mostly because I saw that conflict coming a mile away.
Kill Kenny, leave Jane. Head to Mexico.
Head to Mexico with a newborn?
Well, I can relate to Jane´s pragmatic personality and going alone seemed like suicide so...yeah. I like Jane, though as I like Kenny.
I am relaxed xd sorry if my answer seemed tense.
