What was to respond to? Silly posts of characters that were not even intended to be answers? The pictures were to show in a situation where … morein one a person was leading a child and a pregnant woman to safety and in the other a person causing a panic with no regards to anyone around which could have caused the death of everyone around her.
Don't try to play dumb, you know exactly what I'm talking about. He clearly responded to you;
Because people like Sarah's personality … moremore than Jane's. Jane is cold hearted and nobody can relate to her, or agree what she believes. Even by the end of the game she still is cold hearted by hiding AJ and getting Clementine to kill Kenny out of her own selfish desires.
And you clearly ignored.
Please, next time, don't be such a hypocrite. Okay, sweetie? Okay.
You're welcome, but it's not about winning or losing in arguments. The fact that you brang up valid points and didn't insult your way through an argument is clearly enough.
Thank you @InfiniteDawn for recognizing for what he is doing, I responded to him again and he proceeds to ignore me once more.
Edit: Put the words in my statement that were taken the wrong way, I'm removing them to avoid any confusion.
You're welcome, but it's not about winning or losing in arguments. The fact that you brang up valid points and didn't insult your way through an argument is clearly enough.
But still, you're welcome.
By I won I meant something else. Now when I go back look at what I typed, I'm probably going to change it.
But yeah, thanks once again for bringing up my comment, I really don't like being ignored by others.
People like Sarah's personality more than Jane. Her personality was a stupid kid who thought everything was all sunshine and rainbows. "I dont know why everybody has to be so mean all the time". Grow the fuck up kid, you're living in a zombie apocalyspe. Suprise!!! People are mean.
Jane is cold hearted and nobody can relate to her, or agree what she believes. Even by the end of the game she still is cold hearted by hiding AJ and getting Clementine to kill Kenny out of her own selfish desires.
How can you say that? Everything Jane did was to protect and help the group. She saved the group twice from being held up by Troy and coming back and saving them from the russians. She cared about Clementine more than anyone else did this season, saving her on multiple occasions. She also felt sad over Sarah's death because it reminded her so much of her sister which caused her to leave to not see that happen to Clementine. Jane generally cared about Sarah. She tries to help her risking her own life if chose to tell her to do so. Hiding AJ to get Clementine to kill Kenny was not her intention at all. She wanted to show Clementine what a true monster Kenny had become right to her death. Granted it was a not well thought out plan but she did it because she thought she would be helping Clementine. Jane is anything but cold hearted. She's just a misunderstood character.
He and the other replies just made silly responses which were dodging the question.

No, if she really cared about Sarah should would have tried to save her. Instead she insisted on leaving her behind.
Hiding AJ to get Clementine to kill Kenny was not her intention at all.
Then what was? She may not have wanted Clem to kill him, but one of them were going to die and Jane even recognizes that, Kenny says "I'll fucking kill you" and what is Jane's response? This: "I knew you would!" She wanted a fight, even though it was against Clementine's wishes. If she cared about her she wouldn't have pulled that stunt.

Jane didn't want to help but she felt like it was her responsibility only because of Clem.
She barely even knew Clem when she decided to help her and Rebecca. So that argument is invalid.
Sarah just watched her fucking dad die in front of her.
So? Clem watched her parents walking around like fucking zombies at the age of 9 and didn't freak out because she knew it would get her and Lee killed. Sarah has no excuse.
No, if she really cared about Sarah should would have tried to save her. Instead she insisted on leaving her behind.
Because they were running out of time. There were walkers about to bust through the door at any moment and Sarah was not getting up.

My take on Jane is she's attempting to be the stone-cold badass and loner which she thinks is the only way to survive in the world but--she's not. I think Jane's idea of what a badass is, is something she cobbled together from comic books and action movies. She's created this persona to keep people at a distance and look tougher than she is. Really, though, she's desperately lonely and guilt-ridden over her sister's loss. She also doesn't want to get too close to this group because she doesn't want to feel the pain she's felt before.
I'm very sympathetic to her character.
That makes the whole cluster**** which happens all the more tragic.
I replied to your other points by the way if you want to respond to them.

No. She said we need to get her up or we gotta leave her. She did not just straight up and say leave her. She wasn't getting up and the whole scene reminded her of her sister. She wasn't going to let a hurt man and a child die to save a girl who didn't even want to go. She cared about Sarah. She showed remorse over Sarah's death throughout the episode to the point where she left the group to not see that happen again with Clementine.

She saved the group twice from being held up by Troy
She shot him because he was an asshole to her. He clearly wanted something in return if he were to let them leave, that being sex. And it's implied that they had something outside the role of "prisoner, guard".
She also felt sad over Sarah's death because it reminded her so much of her sister which caused her to leave to not see that happen to Clementine
Oh, please. All Jaime wanted to do is be sad and not keep living. Sarah wanted to live, it's just that anxiety got the best of her. Jane literally wanted Sarah to die because she thought she was a liability. Sarah could have easily grasped the ropes of the world just as Clementine, at the age of 9 year olds, did. But no, Jane obviously didn't want to give that a chance. And had she not offered Luke sex, Sarah wouldn't have fallen from the observation deck.
Jane generally cared about Sarah.
She tries to help her risking her own life if chose to tell her to do so.
Exactly. If you told her to do so. If she really cared about Sarah, she would have dropped down there to get save her without Clementine telling her to. She even argued against it at first.
Hiding AJ to get Clementine to kill Kenny was not her intention at all.
What game have you been playing? It was clearly her intention to do so. She wouldn't want Clementine to see Kenny rage up and say "See? I told you how dangerous he can be. Get him off me now." she wanted blood. She was out for blood. And she determinately gets blood.
Jane is anything but cold hearted. She's just a misunderstood character.

If she truly cared about Sarah should would have tried her best to get her up, but she didn't do anything but try to convince Clementine to leave her.
She showed remorse over Sarah's death throughout the episode to the point where she left the group to not see that happen again with Clementine.
You got me on that one, I'm not gonna lie :P sort of. It seems to me she was more sad over the fact it reminded her of Jamie, and not over Sarah herself.

She believed she was protecting the group, but not thinking how others felt. Larry situation was different, was he coming back or not? We'll never know. And you try so hard to aggravate by swearing at me and trying to insult me? I called you out for your bullshit, and you cry over it. Have another hissy fit why don't you? People do WORSE than what I do, and all I did was call you out for being a hypocrite.
I don't have time to be on here all day and answer every single reply my posts get. I replied to both of their posts a little while ago and answered them with valid points counter arguing their claims if you actually look you fucking moron.
Okay, but you can answer mine and not the others in the same time? Only takes a few minutes, bud. The only reason why you replied later with "valid" (pssh, yeah) arguments is because I called you out on it. And go ahead, insult me even more. Because you're totally "winning" this argument.
Because your posts were only created to get under my skin. Don't play dumb? Sweetheart? Yeah okay those posts are 100% contributing to civil conversation.
You were being so bitter to the other people, claiming that they "dodged the question" and their replies were "silly", even though they were either joking around, or bringing valid arguments. And I don't see how that is being civil.
And they weren't to get under your skin, I called you sweetheart? So what? Take the compliment, your hostility is actually disgusting.
That post wasn't even related to the post i replied to you with. It was my personal opinion of a character and apparently i'm an asshole for having one. There's also been conflicting answers to whether or not Sarah has some sort of disability. And even if she did that dosen't change the fact she would be a liability to me in a zombie apocalyspe.
It doesn't matter if that was sent to me or not, either way, you trashed the character without even empathizing. You're not an asshole for having an opinion, you're an asshole for having an opinion that's completely biased and trashing another character without legitimate reasons or even empathizing. Then you go on to praise a character, who yes, I've empathized with, and bring up false arguments and try to victimize them.
Yes child. People are mean in a fictional zombie apocalyspe but on a forum in the real world people are supposed to respect other people's ideas and opinions. Something you wont give to me and I wont give to you.
Child? Irony. It's a bummer.
Yeah, people are mean in a fictional zombie apocalypse, but like you said, in a forum when it's the real world, you are supposed to respect someone's opinion. Something you didn't even do from the beginning. And people are 'mean' in the real world too, you're a clear example of it.
In conclusion, Go fuck yourself.
I'm sorry, do you want to watch or something?
You are literally the worst person i've met on this site so far.
Honey, I should be the least of your problems. There's worse people than me on here, it's not a bad thing to be vocal on calling people out for their shit.
I am not usually like this but when i see people like you it forces my hand.
Your problem, not mine. Not my fault that you can easily get butthurt. And I'm not even trying? Hostility seems to be your thing.
I will now accept my ban please.
Sorry, I forgot that you were so much of a rebel that you thought being butthurt was a bannable thing.
Clem owes Jane more than she owes Sarah. So if it came down to a pure save one or save the other scenario, I would have to save Jane. However, as evidenced by my trying to save her in the trailer and on the deck, I would take massive risks with Jane's life and even Clem's life in order to save Sarah.
I think the intention behind her character is that she's tragic BECAUSE she doesn't have the 'guts' to fully commit to being a monster.
Yeah I got what they were driving at. In fact it was really hard not to. They just did such a bad job. Jane's conflict amounts to her either chiding Clementine for being heroic or lamenting how hard it is to be ruthless, without ever really acting all that heroic or ruthless, over and over again. And that's it. She never actually resolves it, probably because she was crafted so the player can do whatever they want with Clementine and not worry about consequences. But the end result makes Jane look incredibly weak willed. S1 Kenny actually went through a similar struggle, but the writers committed to having Kenny act incredibly cold and selfish in the later acts, then after losing everything, finally reaffirming his commitment to helping others by staying with Ben or saving Christa.
I actually did like Jane on my first play through prior to the stupid hide the baby crap. I thought her trying to save Sarah from under the deck (even if it involved badgering her to do it) initially seemed touching, like she was going to change. But nothing really comes of it, you never get to actually confront this facade she puts on. You never get to tell her point blank "The reason you don't help people isn't because you don't want to but because you're afraid to." It's so obvious and yet it never actually gets addressed, probably because doing so would meaning actually committing Jane's character to something which might meaning committing Clementine's as well and god knows we're not allowed that.
So we're left with this indecisive tough guy wannabe who doesn't seem to make good decisions and even if she did, wouldn't know why she made them in the first place. Would have been a lot more dramatic if in the finale she just told Kenny point blank she's not letting A.J. or Clem leave with him because she thinks he'll get them both killed. Or she actually did kill A.J., like she tossed him during the snowstorm and finally opted to just being ruthless to survive. Really either one would have been better then what we got. With Kenny and Jane both being stupid assholes and the writer's actually bringing Lee back just long enough to hammer us with the message that their assholes because they care, even though it doesn't seem like they do half the time.
Well since the writer's didn't like the idea of committing to who Jane was or why exactly she suddenly fixates on Clementine, let me take a crack at it. Jane is actually a sex fiend who molested her sister for months. Jamie was suicidally depressed because Jane routinely raped her, and Jane only dragged Jamie along because of her own sick needs. The real reason she wants Clem to run off with her so she can have her way with her and she fucks Luke to tide herself over until she can get Clem alone. When she realizes Clem isn't leaving her group, she ditches, but she comes back when thinks there's a chance to finally pry the Clementine flavored candy away from the others.
Signs of a child predator include:
Refusal to take responsibility for actions and blames others or circumstances for failures - She blames Clem if she doesn't decide about robbing Arvo even though Jane started the robbery and she never apologizes for causing the conflict with the Russians that should have gotten everyone killed.
A sense of entitlement - Seems to get annoyed with Clem anytime she doesn't defer to her despite the two having known each other for only a day.
Low self-esteem - As discussed, her hard ass mantra really just seems to be a mask to cover the fact she's scared.
Need for power and control - I think that's spoken for.
Lack of empathy - That's a big no duh.
Inability to form intimate relationships with adults - Clementine seems like the only person Jane wants to interact with. She does sleep with Luke, but she also ditches him just as fast and doesn't actually want to be around the campfire with the others, and only comes if Clem talks her into it.
History of abuse - Cut dialogue suggested Troy raped her. Otherwise, that's up in the air.
Troubled childhood - That one's pretty much unknown, other than eating glass once, which really is more her being drunk and stupid.
Deviant sexual behavior and attitudes - Sleeps with Luke on a whim, makes a point to actually shoot Troy's dick off instead of anywhere else, and they also cut a scene where Jane tells Clem a joke about rednecks fucking sheep, which is the whole joke actually.
...
Holy fucking shit! Well that makes the scene where Jane wants to go look for the others with Clem alone really fucking creepy. She tells Clem point blank that they won't actually find Sarah or Luke and when Clem asks why their doing this she basically admits that she just wanted to be alone with Clem. Thank god Clem found Sarah's glasses when she did. Who knows how long Jane was going to wait before putting the moves on Clem.
I guess the real reason Jane didn't want to save Sarah was because Sarah is too old for her tastes. O_o
I think the intention behind her character is that she's tragic BECAUSE she doesn't have the 'guts' to fully commit to being a monster. If … moreyou tolerate her long enough to return to Howes with her, she regains her humanity by allowing a starving family in if Clem doesn't decide - something which a lot of posters here lack the decency to do because THEY'RE DEFINITELY ROBBERS AND AWW ISN'T CLEMENTINE BADASS FOR THREATENING TO KILL A CHILD BECAUSE SHE DOESN'T LIKE SHARING?
But her rough treatment of Arvo was wholly unnecessary and doubtlessly contributed to the grudge he carried against Clem's group. They could have easily hidden, or even taken the chance of cooperating with him rather than making an enemy. Then in the next episode, she has the audacity to 'defend' him against Kenny without ever apologizing to Arvo or recognizing her role in starting the grudge that led to the gunfight in the first place. And unlike Luke, she doesn't have … [view original content]
Since the majority is still considering Sarah over Jane at this point, I'm confident to say that Telltale made a stupid move thinking that we would rather stick around with Jane than Sarah.
The idea that Telltale would prefer Jane over Sarah and wish for a harmless little girl a brutal and unneeded death is incomprehensible, since at this point Jane acts very idiotic and needlessly cruel for someone who calls herself a survivor, and ends up causing more problems than solving them. A person's competence with dealing with the zombie apocalyse doesn't mean they make for an ideal survivor in reality, especially if they think that adandoning people for shaky reasons, robbing and threatening someone who could come back with back-up, and provoking a violent and bloodthirsty man was a good idea.
Comparing the two girls together, Sarah had more common sense than Jane has in spite of her own problems. And yet Telltale portrays Jane as the idea survivor? I doubt the staff themselves would last long in a real zombie apocalypse...
Christa.
On a serious note, I'll agree with the majority here. Jane was a very unsympathetic and incompetent character, despite Telltale… more's attempts to convince us otherwise. Personally, Christa was a far more likable 'strong female character' who didn't abandon children, threaten disabled kids provoke psychotic men or do other hair-brained aggressive manuevers in order to convince an audience that she was "tuff."
I'd much rather deal with the burdens of taking care of a kind if ineffectual person over having to tolerate a self-pitying, cold-blooded idiot.

And at least walkers don't hide babies.
Jane didn't want to help but she felt like it was her responsibility only because of Clem.
Sarah just watched her fucking dad die in front of her.
Funny enough Walker Lee would be a better protector.
Lee's middle finger would be a better protector.
By I won I meant something else. Now when I go back look at what I typed, I'm probably going to change it.
But yeah, thanks once again for bringing up my comment, I really don't like being ignored by others.
Oh, sorry for the misunderstanding.
And you're welcome, once again.
Jesus fucking christ. I meant the first responses they gave me. I looked at their responses but I didn't want to answer them when i saw them because I don't spend hours of my time on this forum looking at posts and responding to them and went to take a break. And know that i'm back i have answered them both. Your just acting like a complete douche for no reason.
Grow the fuck up and try to work on not being an asshole. I'm so sorry my personal opinion and trying to have a civil discussion has hurt you so much.
No, if she really cared about Sarah should would have tried to save her. Instead she insisted on leaving her behind.
Did you forget about Kenny? Or Luke? Or anybody else this season who risked their life for her. Nick risk's his life to save her if you went with him.
She barely even knew Clem when she decided to help her and Rebecca. So that argument is invalid.
So? Clem watched her parents walking around like fucking zombies at the age of 9 and didn't freak out because she knew it would get her and Lee killed. Sarah has no excuse.
Sarah.
Jane you slutty bitch, I'll let you die in a pit of walkers.
Sarah
Because they were running out of time. There were walkers about to bust through the door at any moment and Sarah was not getting up.
She was one of the people that cared most about her this entire game. *fixed
There was lots of things going on in her head at a very short amount of time. She thought what she did was right just like how Ken thought killing Larry to protect the group was right and people forgave him.I'm not defending what she did. She was in the heat of the moment and she overeacted.
Even when they first entered the trailer she was ready to leave her. When you care for somebody you don't just leave them behind, she was ready to do that at a moments notice. She even points out that Sarah was not fit for this world, she never cared about her in the first place.
I'd save Sarah in a heartbeat.
The amount of people who seem to agree is quite wonderful. If only Telltale could have seen this before writing episode 4. If only.
Yeah.
Because you wanted to dodge the question. lmao
You came back before and you didn't bother to answer them, but you answer to me? But now that you see people calling you out on your shit, you make up an excuse? Okay. And by the way, you still didn't reply.
I called you out on your shit. Not my fault you're a hypocrite and I so happened to call you out on it.
Shit, bro. You claim that you wanted to have a civil discussion? Then you come out and say this?
And apparently I'm the asshole? HAH. I don't think you should expect me to be nice when you completely trash a character with a disability.
Then again...
So, what were you saying about trying to have a civil discussion?
LMAO. Have you actually read the comments?
LMAO WHAT?
Luke, Kenny, Sarita, Alvin, Rebecca, Nick, SARAH. Everyone cared for Clementine, EVERYONE.
She shot him because he was an asshole to her. He clearly wanted something in return if he were to let them leave, that being sex. And it's implied that they had something outside the role of "prisoner, guard".
Exactly. If you told her to do so. If she really cared about Sarah, she would have dropped down there to get save her without Clementine telling her to. She even argued against it at first.
What game have you been playing? It was clearly her intention to do so. She wouldn't want Clementine to see Kenny rage up and say "See? I told you how dangerous he can be. Get him off me now." she wanted blood. She was out for blood. And she determinately gets blood.
Exactly.
And when you find Sarah's glasses, she automatically dismisses the fact that she could be alive, and says "Oh well, she's dead. I'm totally sorry, like I promise I'm sorry. Not like Luke (and Nick) could be alive. Nope, lol. Let's go, Clem."
"Now Clementine! If she doesn't want to go you can't make her. Don't let her take you down too."
If she truly cared about Sarah should would have tried her best to get her up, but she didn't do anything but try to convince Clementine to leave her.
You got me on that one, I'm not gonna lie :P sort of. It seems to me she was more sad over the fact it reminded her of Jamie, and not over Sarah herself.
Edit: I accidentally sent my comment without finishing it.
Oh god I completely forgot about that little scene.
Like, if that doesn't cement Jane's feelings for Sarah, then I don't know what does.
She believed she was protecting the group, but not thinking how others felt. Larry situation was different, was he coming back or not? We'll never know. Her plan was thought out unlike Ken's, she even came into the station with a fake story to get Kenny to overreact. Larry situation was in the heat of the moment, Jane's wasnt.
Actually, Kenny did that to get to his family. But it still applies.
He didn't do it so Lilly could get angry and try to kill him, he did it for the safety of everyone in that freezer and to save his family. The only fault he had was not waiting to see if he was live or revivable.
Haha, thank you.
This gif is great.
Good points by the way.
Yeah he's still at fault for not waiting, he too overreacted. But it was a tense situation, I don't agree with what he did but his actions are somewhat understandable. He was trying to protect his family and protect the lives of everyone in the freezer.
Exactly.
Where Jane's reason, is completely different.
[removed]
Hmm its difficult
I save Sarah at the deck so I guess i'll say her, still though without Jane clem would be dead in ep 5 so i dont know....
And you try so hard to aggravate by swearing at me and trying to insult me? I called you out for your bullshit, and you cry over it. Have another hissy fit why don't you? People do WORSE than what I do, and all I did was call you out for being a hypocrite.
Okay, but you can answer mine and not the others in the same time? Only takes a few minutes, bud. The only reason why you replied later with "valid" (pssh, yeah) arguments is because I called you out on it. And go ahead, insult me even more. Because you're totally "winning" this argument.
Child? Irony. It's a bummer.
Yeah, people are mean in a fictional zombie apocalypse, but like you said, in a forum when it's the real world, you are supposed to respect someone's opinion. Something you didn't even do from the beginning. And people are 'mean' in the real world too, you're a clear example of it.
I'm sorry, do you want to watch or something?
Honey, I should be the least of your problems. There's worse people than me on here, it's not a bad thing to be vocal on calling people out for their shit.
Your problem, not mine. Not my fault that you can easily get butthurt. And I'm not even trying? Hostility seems to be your thing.
Sorry, I forgot that you were so much of a rebel that you thought being butthurt was a bannable thing.
Sarah.
Jane I would pull a fuckin' Bigby on yer if I could.
A pinky swear is forever...
We ride together, we die together.
Jane. I don't have J.D.S. (Jane Derangement Syndrome).
Signs of a child predator include:
