If they still ended up getting caught by Carver, then the plan to escape Carvers place probably would have been much different and more thought through.

I mean Pete,Luke and Nick seem to barley have any connection with him, Carlos and Sarah seem like they've been in no danger for a long time. So maybe we meet Bec,Alvin and Walter at the lodge and we get caught with them as a shock

I wouldn't have said no to Kenny returning at some point, but I do think him showing up immediately took away lot of development time that could've been used bonding with the cabin group some more. They could've done so much with those guys and it just got wasted.

I loved s1 Kenny with practically all of my heart. s2 Kenny...not so much.

But we never see any of that, its just a little bit of dialogue. Kenny for some reason seems to hate Carver more than anyone despite just meeting him
