Seriously? Dude, it's read in nearly every middle school/high school in America. Whether they wanted to or not, nearly everyone has read Of Mice and Men. And The Grapes of Wrath? Jesus, dude, kids read this stuff. They aren't considered obscure, not even close.
He's actually one of the most well-known authors of all time.
I don't believe the majority of the fans playing this series have any desire or inclination to read books written before they were born.
I actually think Alvin is one of the best characters in season 2 simply because people can have all kinds of different opinions about him. A third argued with him at the window thinking he was an ahole, a third got him to help them and thought he was a good guy and a third never talked to him at the window at all and thought he was just a fat guy eating food behind his pregnant wife's back xD
That he has a tragic and a basass determinant ending both compliments it too.
I knew his name after ep 1 (didnt know until after though)
However was I particulalry bothered when he died in either episode, not particularly. Very boring character and like Carlos, Pete, Nick and everyone else all possible potential was removed by Kenny
I can't remember anything about her other than she doesn't celebrate xmas. Personally i think Chet from S1 would of been a better love interest than Sarita. At least we could find more about hot dish night.
I didn't want him to die, so I did everything in my power to save him. I was like "oh shit cmon carver hes a cabin group guy you cant kill them i'll fucking stOMP YOUR AsSSS"
I never had the juice box experience, and my interpretation of Alvin is quite different. I didn't see him as nice, i saw him as pathetic. In my play through i don't remember getting a juice box, but i do remember him being ok with locking Clementine in a shed. The next conversation i remember was him asking Clementine to look for food, then talking smack about Nick. Then he died.
No. I thought he was a nice guy who cared about his family. He gave me a juice box so I knew that he wasnt down with what they were doing to… more Clementine, he just didnt want to upset his wife, which I could understand. I wanted to know more about him based on what Carver was saying. Cant you just like someone just because they're nice? I feel like there was a lot about the characters that we should and could have gotten more of, if the season played out differently.

If this game was more like real life, where if you made a dangerous choice Clementine could die. Would you still act the same way, would you risk Clementine's life to save him, if you knew there was a chance she could die.

if you save him on episode 2 he will kill the asshole guard before dies. i think he was a good guy and have a badass death in episode 3. i cared more for him them christa. if you left him die in episode 2, the asshole stats will remain unknown, so he is important for eliminate a piece of shit of this world. he was like a black not so funny omid to me.
I wanted to be drawn in like seas 1 so i tried everything in the first ep. and appreciated the juicebox so yes i remembered, and he was tough he lived till the escape started
He rubbed me the wrong way when he refused to search Matthew's shack ("Nah, I'm gonna sit here. You go on ahead though!"), and then he asked me to lie and let him take the food. If it had been anybody else I probably wouldn't have told Kenny to shoot.
I got the initial idea behind his character; an inherently nice guy without much backbone when it came to group matters and harder decisions.
Shame there wasn't much time to really explore that, but I thought the guy got a better death-scene than most of the cabin group (though that isn't really saying much..).

They are. Which is why so many kids are made to read them these days.

A better love interest for who? Lol
I wanted to see Becca suffer. I told her she should be nice to me.
She should've.
Not one fuck was given about this 2 dimensional character. Andrew, Ashton, Albert.... whoever he was.
I did know his name but I didn't care for the character. His death along with the cheesy monologue and that dramatic music made me cringe.

That is how i will remember Alvin.
Everyone knows the way to a man's heart is through his stomach.
This was my interpretation of Avin.
Lmao, nicely put.
Yeah, i remember thinking to myself...
Alvin we got to get out of here!
Alvin's like Noez! We don't got the time, Clementine you need to take responsibility for my baby!
Then I'm like DaWhat! I am already responsible for two people, Nick/Sarah. Now Alvin wants to pawn this responsibility on me.
Fuck that.

R.I.P alvin
He helped Clem out and treated her kindly in my play-through, then got the cool guy death scene which made him quite memorable to me.

I found it to be really cheesy, I didn't care about Alvin then, and to try to make that scene emotional when he was dying failed miserable.
I RAN OUTTA ROAD, cause i can't get out of this chair. Help Clementine i'm stuck. Get the
BUTTER!
First playthrough, ep2 death:
ep3 death:
Dave Sevil voice ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLVIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
Anyway, I loved Alvin. He was like one of my favorite characters.
He rubbed me the wrong way when he refused to search Matthew's shack ("Nah, I'm gonna sit here. You go on ahead though!"), and then he asked me to lie and let him take the food. If it had been anybody else I probably wouldn't have told Kenny to shoot.
Knew Alvin's name after it was said lol
