Does anyone besides me ever go back and read through old discussions?

I'm probably just weird like that.

  • You're not alone ;)

  • See now this is what I was talking about in another thread. Everything that can be discussed about the game has been. All theory's, characters, plots and sub plots have been analysed and over analysed.
Now there is nothing left. Yes we could talk about Season Three, but what's the point. No one apart from tell-tale have the slightest clue as to what's going to happen. Then of course we have the mega long wait until we get even an inkling, as to what the storyline is.

All we have is a vague impression that Season Three will be released in the latter half of 2015, and that's going by some half assed comment. For all we know, it may never get a third Season. It's happened before.

This is why I said before that tell-tale need to be more upfront. If there is definitely going to be a third season, then give us some more concrete answers to the questions everybody is asking.

Is Clementine going to be protagonist?

Will what ending we have, make the slightest difference?

When are we likely to have some clues about Season Three story.

Have you an idea of when we can expect some release dates.

That is just a run down of some of the questions many, including myself are asking.
Trouble is though, it will only last so long and the end is nigh now. People are getting bored and sick of discussing the same things over and over.

What tell-tale should have done, was leave it a couple of weeks, a month at the most then hit us with some clues about what's to happen next. If they had done that, this forum would still be buzzing. As it is, people are leaving in their droves. Big mistake tell-tale. One you may regret.
It's alright concentrating on other games, but in my opinion all most are interested in is The Walking Dead. That's what tell-tale do best and make the most money on so that's what they should stick to.

  • You do know TellTale is working on two other games right now. TellTale also has more that just The Walking Dead fans, man. They announced Tales From The Boarderlands and Game Of Thrones a long while back and just recently gave us some answers. I'd rather have TellTale focus on a couple games at a time. People on this side of the forum were complaining that The Walking Dead: Season 2 and The Wolf Among Us suffered somewhat due to over-involvement with 4 game title. Just wait. The last thing TellTale needs to do is announce something (like Clem being the protagonist for TWD: Season 3) and either be forced to be stuck with it if a better idea comes along when actual development starts or get hate from the fan base because they gave a false illusion of what was to come. From interviews from TellTale staff that I have seen, they have basically said that they don't know what they are doing yet for TWD: Season 3. Let us just be patient and wait. TellTale is trying to expand their horizons with other game titles. Let's let the do it, learn from these endeavors, and use that knowledge to make a really great season of The Walking Dead. Patience, my friend. Questions will be answer when the time is right.

I like coming on here, and seeing what people have to say..it kind of helps me unwind at the end of the day.( I rhymed haha)

Saame. I have a bad habit of adding to my arguments, or obsessing over word choice at times.

Digging up old topics to read old posts is just kind of amusing for me sometimes: https://www.telltalegames.com/community/discussion/69995/this-needs-to-be-said-about-luke/p1

It's so masterful that it probably deserves to be revived. We haven't had a good ol' Luke bashing thread in a good while now.

Ah yes, that was when I was still new to the forums and typed essays for almost all of my posts lol. I preferred Luke vs Kenny debates to Jane vs Kenny debates tbh.

  • I've seem to have dialed down for the most part when it comes to essay posts haha. I can't disagree with you there, pro Luke arguments did have a lot of concrete support, it was always a lot of fun to combat them or disprove them. But it was usually civil, and not hostile majority of the time. With Jane vs Kenny it almost always dissolved to a fight.

  • I can't begin to tell you how many times that happened to me.
As you can probably discern from my previous posts, whenever I add my two-cents to a matter, I always try to be civil, and reasonable.
However when it came to the Kenny vs Jane threads, no matter how civil I was, I would always receive hate comments.

  • Nothing left to discuss? Uh, yes there is. Telltale Talk, Tales, and GoT sections are all pretty active. I think its just time to give the TWD section a break.

I never really understood why the Kenny vs Jane debates were always so heated in comparison to the Kenny vs Luke ones... considering that I feel like it more or less involved the same group of people with more or less the same agenda.

  • These forums are more about socializing with people who have a similar interest I think. It's not just about a game, it's about a community. I argue, and fight with people on here but it's more like Frenemies to me.

Nah, I could never steal your thunder. I got curious and started reading my old posts, and I noticed that mine usually revolve around emotional appeal a little more than logic, where yours would include more logic than emotional appeal. So together our essay posts would usually end up balancing each other out.:)

It was the finale for one, and where Luke had his redeeming qualities, Jane didn't really have any. Which prompted the opposition to be more abrasive in their stance in an attempt to convince those who were against Jane that her actions were justified. Most of the time the Jane fans would fail to convince Kenny fans of anything, which got the Jane fans pissed off, and then somehow the Kenny fans got pissed off, so everybody else got pissed off. It was a very emotional time for the forums lol.

  • Ok, so I cannot for the life of me find that thread page where we've been talking about TWD, so what did you think of the new episode? Personally, I didn't think it was as good as the previous episodes, but it does give a lot more insight on Carol's character, that her stoic demeanor is not really who she is, but who she wants to be. That she cared about being exiled by Rick a lot more than she let on. Daryl's like really in touch with his emotions now, I wonder if that's because of his time with Beth. Speaking of which, she didn't die this episode, so that's good lol.

We'll have to pickup there at some point. Can't abandon the wall of commentary lol.

Honestly, I didn't really care all that much for the episode. The little details about Carol were nice, but most of them I kind of assumed anyway. I thought her actions with Daryl were super cliche, and I didn't really care for them. Down with Caryl! I'm definitely glad that Beth wasn't killed though. I'm also glad that Carol was legit captured instead of getting herself captured on purpose for some infiltration mission. All in all the episode was kind of slow and uneventful, but I think it was necessary buildup for whatever happens next week.

Also, I have a really odd feeling that Carol is going to be dead by the mid season finale. This may be a really bad prediction if she is still alive and well in the comics... but it's just a feeling that I have. We haven't had any major characters die yet (well... besides Bob I suppose..), and I think she's going to be the one to go. It just feels like it's her time...

We'll resume next episode haha. Can you believe there are only 2 episodes left? The hiatus is always the hardest part to get through.D:

Att first I thought I didn't like the episode so much because of my bias towards Carol..But even my brother, who is a big Carol fan, said the episode was lacking something. It was nice to see that Carol isn't just this ultimate survivor she-rambo. I'm also glad that she didn't get captured on purpose, even though I predicted it, I really didn't want that to happen.

I thought her actions with Daryl were super cliche, and I didn't really care for them.

I was cringing a little over some of the dialogue they had with one another, I usually love one-on-one character conversations, but I will admit I was zoning out a little bit. It was definitely a filler episode.

I do too, Carol has already had her full transformation in the apocalypse, anymore and it's like beating a dead horse imo. If anyone's death would benefit the story line, and actually shock the audience, it would be Carol's. If they do end up killing Beth, not only would everyone be expecting it, but it would be recycling the same old "Daryl's confident in the person's survival he's looking for, only to find out that they were dead, which leads to more angst" arc, as they've already done with Sophia, and Merle. Not to mention they'd be killing off two Greenes, both in the mid-season finale. I sincerely hope they don't kill Beth, I'm pretty attached to her.
