Yeah, it's definitely going to be weird not having anything to look forward to. I remember watching S1 E1 like it was yesterday. How long do the breaks typically last?
Other than the beginning of the episode, which I found to be a little tense considering the fact that Daryl and Carol probably should have been seen by the people they were following, everything seemed to have a real.. empty sort of feel to it. Carol's back story didn't really interest me at all. I mean, it was nice to know/see and all... but it really wasn't anything exciting or interesting in my opinion. Overall the theme just seemed dry. Even Daryl was pretty stale.
I agree. It doesn't really seem like her character has anywhere else to go. I'm actually going to be quite surprised if she makes it out alive. Out of all the spotlight characters from this season, she makes the most sense. If Beth dies I'll be so annoyed lol. It would be so cruel and unfair. If anything, they should only continue to increase her role at this point.
So what do you think of the season overall so far? I think individually most of the episodes have been quite good, but the storyline seems to be kind of all over the place right now. It's kind of odd how this hospital group has turned into the main focus of the first half of the season, while the Terminus ordeal was brushed to the side rather quickly.
We'll resume next episode haha. Can you believe there are only 2 episodes left? The hiatus is always the hardest part to get through.D:
A… morett first I thought I didn't like the episode so much because of my bias towards Carol..But even my brother, who is a big Carol fan, said the episode was lacking something. It was nice to see that Carol isn't just this ultimate survivor she-rambo. I'm also glad that she didn't get captured on purpose, even though I predicted it, I really didn't want that to happen.
I thought her actions with Daryl were super cliche, and I didn't really care for them.
I was cringing a little over some of the dialogue they had with one another, I usually love one-on-one character conversations, but I will admit I was zoning out a little bit. It was definitely a filler episode.
I do too, Carol has already had her full transformation in the apocalypse, anymore and it's like beating a dead horse imo. If anyone'… [view original content]
They come back after New Year's, early February most of the time.
Same, it was nice to get little flashbacks, but I wasn't exactly dying to know what had been going on with Carol. Her interactions with Daryl, and the overall theme of the episode was pretty predictable. And honestly, I get that Daryl has turned over a new leaf because of Beth's influence, but it almost seems like it's happened too fast for it to be believable. It's like Daryl and Carol have switched places, Daryl's the talkative, optimistic playful one, and Carol's the moody, pessimistic, mysterious one. I don't think doing that was very clever, nor did it really benefit their character development imo.
I'll be very, very irritated if she dies so predictably.
I think it's a good season so far, this episode is the only one that I've been somewhat disappointed by. It was a surprise to see Terminus so easily dealt with, it makes me nervous, because I have no idea what's going to happen now that there's a story line that has nothing to do with the comics.

Just saw the sneak peak for the next episode... this one actually looks like it may not be totally worthless lol. I seriously wonder how messed up Carol is from getting hit by that car, and wonder what kind of position she is in to make any effort to help Beth or herself. This may in fact be Beth's time to shine. I'm assuming she is going to be pulling some shenanigans to get Carol whatever help she needs. She better not sacrifice herself to save Carol though. If she does, I may be joining you on the Carol hate bandwagon..

I sincerely hope Beth gets to take charge and be in the spotlight, it makes a lot a sense that she would be the heroine here, because she know's the layout of the hospital, she knows the residents and has already proven to being very quick on her feet when it comes to outwitting them. Fingers crossed that she isn't pushed aside for another predictable "badass Carol" moment.

Hey, I noticed you changed your profile picture.
Couldn't help but notice it, lol!
It looks cool.
Forgot to respond to this for some reason. I can't hold a candle to some of your more lengthy posts. Some of your responses are so thorough that they leave me feeling like I don't have much more to contribute lol. I suppose I'm more short and sweet to the point where as you're more thorough. I sort of remember saying this to you wayyy back when you were kind of new around here, but you're one of the more well spoken individuals here. I don't know that you use emotional appeal all that much, but regardless, definitely glad that we're typically on the same page. I don't want any of that heat
Nah, I could never steal your thunder. I got curious and started reading my old posts, and I noticed that mine usually revolve around emotio… morenal appeal a little more than logic, where yours would include more logic than emotional appeal. So together our essay posts would usually end up balancing each other out.:)
It was the finale for one, and where Luke had his redeeming qualities, Jane didn't really have any. Which prompted the opposition to be more abrasive in their stance in an attempt to convince those who were against Jane that her actions were justified. Most of the time the Jane fans would fail to convince Kenny fans of anything, which got the Jane fans pissed off, and then somehow the Kenny fans got pissed off, so everybody else got pissed off. It was a very emotional time for the forums lol.
I don't think length means mine are superior, it just means I ramble for days when I get really passionate(more like obsessive)about something, and then less people end up reading it because it's so ridiculously long lol. I've always liked your ability to keep your posts rather short, but still successfully getting your point across in an effective manner.
I remember that. I got really excited when you told me, because I also found you to be one of the most articulate members on the forum, I was borderline fangirling over your debate skills before we even spoke man. XD
I should probably take a note from your book and try to stay out of debates that are emotionally driven. I know I said that my essay posts have dialed back, but looks like I lied, seeing as my posts in the "Feminism" thread are super long. Hehe Oops.:P

I have the same thought process! The only downside is there is a high chance I would say whatever I'm posting, no matter how tendentious it may be, which gets me into a pickle every now and then haha.

Ah, yeah, I know newer models do that, I just have an old (VCA?) monitor, so I can't hook it up. I'm also not much of a console person, to b… moree honest, so nothing really hooks up to the old yellow, red and white cables any more (my latest systems are SNES and Playstation 2). I'm not much of a gamer, the only think I'd really be interested in is the Final Fantasy series, and they're increasingly going to console and PC, so if I get a new computer and a nice graphics card I'm gold.
Korea's good. Seoul can be annoying just because it's such a populated and congested city. (Better than Los Angeles, because at least here there's a good, clean subway system). Advanced technology, good eats, good night culture (IE go out with friend for food and a drink, maybe karaoke, or the such). No culture is without its frustrations but I'm pretty happy here.
That Disney film you speak of, if I remember correctly, is: The Fox and The Hound.
For classic Disney films, I think the best one is: The Jungle Book.

And all that over a videogame.
Seems like quite a waste of energy.
If you want something to get whipped up about, how about all the conflict going on in the middle-east?
The political situation that the country is currently in?
The economical situation the country's in?
What about all the starving children in 3rd-world countries?
How about the children who are starving in this country?
( According to the last report I heard stated that 1 in 3, or 1 in 6 kids goes to bed hungry.)
My point is, if people want something to get whipped up about, there are plenty of issues to get whipped up about.
That are far more important than something that happens in a videogame.

I probably should have clarified that I was talking about my posts/opinions in general being emotionally driven, mainly my opinions outside of the videogame. My political views are pretty unpopular among my age group, I'm religious, have old fashioned values, I'm very worried about the state my country is in/direction it's heading towards, and I am very aware of what's happening in this country. The few times I've gotten into debates when the topic was my real life views on here( religion, social issues, politics etc), they've almost always turned into a fight, and seeing as I'm already debating constantly in real life with people about these topics that cause me to get pretty heated quite often, I try not to do so online. Obviously, I can't seem to help myself sometimes. My debates concerning video games don't get me angry, despite having a different viewpoint about a character, it's always a lot of fun and enjoyable to talk with people. That is, unless they start insulting me. Maybe it's a bit odd, but I like to debate about trivial things like video games, movies, tv shows, and books etc. for fun.
And all that over a videogame.

It's my niece's favorite Disney movie, but my three favorite Disney movies have to be The Aristocats, The Rescuers, and Mary Poppins. I always did like The Jungle Book and The Incredibles, we watch those as a family a lot.:-)

There's plenty to discuss, such as ideas about Season Three. What themes they can show. How will they show them. Why? Will Clementine be there? Will there be a time-skip? What situations or choices could we find ourselves in? How will the endings impact the story? Who's writing? What ideas do you want to see? What kind of walkers do you want to see? What characters do you want to see?
What about Season Two? Did you like/dislike it? Why? What if this happened in Season Two? What if Season Two ended like this? What about Season One? What about if this character was alive? Would they change? How would they react to the situations in Season Two? What if these characters were alive? What if this didn't happen? Etc.
All this from just the top of my head with little to no thought. Plus there are still plenty of Text-Based adventure game threads going around.
It definitely is, I remember crying every time time when I watched it as a kid. When I have kids I'm going to show them my Disney collection, I have most of the old movies on VHS.:)

Definitely one I'm going to have my kids watch (if I ever have any that is).
I know right, like this girl i met at Krogers (Ohio Grocery Store Chain) last night who wouldn't give me her phone number. I mean jeez its not like I'm asking for your hand in marriage. I'm just trying to make a new friend.
Some girls don't see it that way. Considering a lot of men are like "omg hay bae urs so hot nice tits gimmie yo digets", girls will think you only want sex. Maybe a sweeter, more softer approach?

I've tried that, i bought a girl flowers a few months ago, it ended badly. Really badly.... SO i think i will just be myself. Sometimes its hard for not to play the Crazy Angle, since i'm being accused of it anyway, i may as well act the part for laughs. If i know its going bad, why not have some fun at her expense.
I want to quote Revolver Ocelot and say. "Colt Python is the most powerful revolver in the world.... Six Shots more than enough to kill anything that moves!" spins the cylinder

Maybe it's a bit odd, but I like to debate about trivial things like video games, movies, tv shows, and books etc. for fun.
It's my niece's favorite Disney movie, but my three favorite Disney movies have to be The Aristocats, The Rescuers, and Mary Poppins. I always did like The Jungle Book and The Incredibles, we watch those as a family a lot.:-)
Your niece has exceptional taste. That was my favorite Disney movie as well lol. It's honestly kind of deep for a kid's movie, and teaches valuable lessons: http://www.buzzfeed.com/dianabruk/times-the-fox-the-hound-was-disneys-deepest-movie-ever
^Not the best article, but whatever.
Definitely one I'm going to have my kids watch (if I ever have any that is).
People are dicks.
Title: "Nothing Left to Discuss"
This thread would suggest otherwise.
Girls don't like it anyway i give it to them. ^_^
Six Shots more than enough to kill anything that moves!" spins the cylinder
eyebrow waggle
what
Its a joke, from metal Gear. Its a video game. I may as well have some fun with her if she already thinks i'm crazy.
Why not play the part, and have some fun at her expense.
