Playing as Kenny might be interesting.
How about if/when Kenny or Jane die we actually have a proper burial for them. Since trying to match their dramatic deaths in S2 would be a challenge, Clem can bury them, remember them fondly, and say her goodbyes to make it feel less cheap when(if) their detriment deaths occur. Just thought that would be nice instead of an Omid death then time skip.
Please, for the love of all that is good no.
(I wasn't)
(I was being sarcastic)
What about those who do not like the one they killed/let be murdered?
(I wasn't)
No Omid'ing would be nice
I guess that would be a S2 issue since they have been dead for over 9 days no matter what and I assume Clem would be over mourning them by then. Although I guess there shouldn't be a reason not to mourn over them as well in S3, y'know reflecting over everyone she's lost or something.
Clem as PC. Kenny\Jane and your ending having a major affect on the story. Wellington will fall at the end of the season during a war with another group. Determinant characters that really matter.
If you play as Clem I think the first episode will be a little different for everyone based on your choices in S2 but the rest will be the same ( Kenny and Jane both dead) and Clem will find a shelter a group or somehow try to survive on her own, although that is impossible mission.
Anyway i don't think you will get to play as Clem, maybe someone's past, maybe pre ZA, maybe Christa, maybe Lilly.
I honestly think they will try with something refreshing with new group( or Christa, Lilly) that'll eventually meet Clem.
I think Kenny is best as a supporting character, for him to be a protaganist would just reflect inaccurately on his personality.
Personally i could care less about either Kenny/Jane at this point. I think they should start over from scratch with new everything. New Protagonist, New story, new location everything. I do not find Clementine's story interesting.
Doubt it. If S3 carries on from where we left off, Kenny/Jane will most likely receive 'Omid treatment', since we all know what happens to determinant characters in TWD... flashbacks of Sarah and Nick
If Clem is PC, then for gods sake have her have some emotion and be more like the Clem we all knew and love in season 1, and not the bland, boring Clem in season 2. But, knowing how Telltale will probably not do that, I would really want a new character from the start of the apocalypse.
I didn't care for S2. I found it lackluster, average personally.
I thought S2 Clem was more interesting
Just because she could survive on her own? Nah man, I see where you are coming from but Clementine has so much potential as a character for development and Telltale isn't using it to their advantage. That stupid 16 month time skip especially ruined it.
Clementine's story is the only reason I got invested in the WALKING DEAD franchise in the first place. Starting over from scratch might be an appealing idea for you, but for me, I'd be done with the series.
I think she should come back eventually, but right now... No
I think a break would serve the series good. Maybe not even an entire season apart from her, but a period of time not following her could work wonders. I actually opened a thread not long ago about introducing her 3 or 4 episodes into the new season.
Yeah would be nice, I just hope they don't do the same formula for S3. If they do, i won't bother getting it until its on Steam sale a year later for five dollars. Season 2 felt like a run of bad luck that got worse every episode. I mean Jesus.
Nothing went Clementine's way. If something bad was going to happen , it was drawn to her like a magnet.
TTG needs to realize they need to have both happy/sad moments in the game, so people don't get desensitized.
With Jane at Howes. Didn't let the family in. Couldn't let them in. Sort of got the same feeling Rick(TV) had, when he turned away Tyreese and Sasha. It makes all the sense in the world, to let them in. (they can help defend and build) But I couldn't do it. Not because of Jane's reasons, (not enough food/they could be dangerous/"do you really wanna go through that again?") but because it wasn't the right time. Clem pretty much just lost her whole group in the matter of days. Saw how some people you think you can trust, can betray you in a split second. Seen how this world can bring out the worst in people. AJ being the most important thing for MyClem, I just couldn't give that much trust to strangers.
All that being said, I want the family to find a group (maybe 5-10 people, including them) and attack Howe's. I want Clem, AJ, and Jane to get out of there in one piece but have Howe's become worthless, due to the battle. Have them continue south, and find a huge community. Like, close to 200 people and solid walls. Have most of the season be about connecting with people, trusting, and being a kid, again. But towards the end, a group like the Saviors come knocking, and have Nate as their Negan. So yeah, pretty much a TT spin on "Something to Fear"
For crying out loud, don't be so melodramatic. Out of the entire season, only episodes 3 and 4 were dodgy. The quality of the other episodes varied from solid to great.
I'll agree with you that the 16 month skip definitely felt like a cop out, for instance it wasn't fully explained as to what happened Christa's baby did she have a miscarriage? Was it eaten by walkers? Did she abandon it? Who knows
I'm more interested in how much Christa had influenced Clementine during their time together without Omid.
It might have made the transition between S1 Clementine and S2 Clementine a little more clearer, even if for some reason Lee and her parent's death didn't already push her in that direction.
If we are to continue with Clementine's story in a community, I'd like to explore the theme of recovery after the loss Clementine endured during their journey to Wellington, with Kenny, or back to Carver' community. Moving to another community would get old fast, I'd like to see if we can 'camp' in one place and explore our neighbouring areas and investigate any problems that will eventually threaten the group.
If we stick with Kenny, I'd like to actually explore the consequences of Kenny's influence towards Clementine, thus turning her into a more aggressive, harsh, impulsive, and grudge-bearing individual, to the point where Clementine and Kenny can no longer collaborate with each other in a healthy way, and this would not be presented in a 'badass' or positive light. Kenny's actions should also not be glorified and actually bring genuine consequences to the group with no last minute cop-outs that only serves to prove him right. If Kenny has a chance to turn to the dark path depending on your choices, don't back out and give him redemption, ensure that he's too far gone to be reasoned with.
If we are with Jane and depending on whether the family has a role or not, I would like to see how Jane would influence Clementine by turning her into a colder, apathetic, and twisted in her logic, all while the family notices the dark turn and tries to intervene in some way. The incident with Jaime and Sarah would also play a role, where we can choose whether to trust Jane's concern and loyalty to Clementine or distrust her and assume that she'll quickly revert to her old ways.
As for the alone ending if both Kenny and Jane are dead, Clementine will be introduced to a new group with reoccurring characters. The 400 Days character would be a good choice, perhaps even including Arvo, Bonnie, and Mike, and decide on whether you can trust them or not after the theft incident.
Regardless of what ending is chosen, they all eventually branch to the same goal, but with different opening and reasoning towards that 'goal' to avoid a cut-and-paste cut-scenes that will only end up making our ending choice in Season 2 less meaningful.
Shubba my friend I agree. :P I'd rather play as a new person, but if Clementine is protagonist they need to make her like S1 Clementine and have her actually show emotion. And not be boring like S2. I found her so bland in season 2 that i was actually starting to hope she'd die.
I want Clementine to end up in a airport & have a choice where to travel.
Well Clementine is kind of the main character of the video game series, maybe they should make a spin-off with a new cast of survivors that could tie in with the main series?
Remember though, TWD is the first game series telltale games made, it seems like they'll be making decisions matter more... hopefully.
I agree but this time they should use more of the characters, Bonnie was the only character to play a sizable role in S2.
enthusiastic applause
Yo.....I like this.
Highly debatable.
I'd love play as Clem and AJ. But I know that's not possible because of the long time skip
I personally think he's best out of the game full stop, but yeah.
I don't think it needs to be explained, I think it works better without using words of any sort, it's pretty obvious that the baby died and I like it how the fate the baby wasn't fully explained I think it works better.
How Telltale's idea for the new characters in season 3 discussion
Damn Telltale board rooms...
