Biggest waste of character potential in S2

Who do you think had the potential to grow into a ground breaking character in S2 but were cast aside. Sarah for me is a great example of wasted potential, we only see her as the girl who was shielded from terrible things around her and was often looked at as a liability, but I think Clem would have been the ideal person to mould her into a future survivor, someone who can give advice to Sarah and turn from a little girl into someone who at least can try and put up a fight against the world how it is.

I can think of others, it would have been interesting to see if Walter had survived whether he could transform from a kindhearted person into a less trusting person, if I'm honest I would have liked to see Carver be involved in an ending rather than being killed off in E3, I would have liked him to be more like the governor, someone who makes out that they are a caring person but it actually turns out they have a darker side, but for me Carver was always shown to be dark and therefore he is easily recognisable as a villain, I want someone who we have to work out ourselves whether they are a villain, someone who only leaves you a little to go on.

  • Carver definitely IMO.

    Nick. He was wasted.

  • Obviously Winston

  • Sarita, Sarah, Nick, Pete..... everyone who dies in S2 except troy, carver, rebecca and Kenny/Jane

  • Nick, my God was that a waste in my eyes.

  • CARVER

Could've easily been a Negan level character.

Sarah, Nick, Sarita, Arvo, Carver, Carlos, Troy, Mike, Bonnie, Walter, Matthew, Alvin, Rebecca...(Everyone, now that I think about it. But I'm especially pissed over Arvo, Nick, and Sarah.)

And I kinda wish Jane and Kenny were never in the season at all.

Sarah, Nick; the cabin group in general.

And the rest of the 400 Days crew.

  • I'd forgotten about the characters from the 400 days, I didn't see the sense in telltale doing 400 days with us getting to know the characters if they were going to become characters we only saw once briefly, besides Bonnie and I really didn't like Bonnie after S5.

  • Definitely the Cabin survivors, none of them really got any development aside from Rebecca.

  • I have no complaints.

  • 400 Days people + Nick, Sarah

  • Lol, how can you NOT have complaints?

  • Kenny, all the character potential in the season was wasted on him

  • Nick, Carver, 400 days survivor, Carlos, Sarah. It seems like most characters needed more development as the episodes of Season 2 were shorter than the ones from the first game.

The lack of hubs really took away the ability to interact with the other survivors and being able to learn more about them IMO.

  • In both meanings of the term. Remember "Have a drink with me?"

    Nick. He was wasted.

  • I would have loved if Sarah became was more developed and became more useful in the group had you chosen to save her. Like, if you taught her how to use a gun in A House Divided, she would help clear the walkers on the deck. And instead of her dying on the deck, have her die in the shootout, That way, Sarah won't die in the same episode, and you have someone actually die in the shootout.

  • Can't I? Everything worked okay for me.

Lol, how can you NOT have complaints?

Perfect example of why some can never be pleased.

I think that she would help with the meds if you robbed Arvo :P. Also Kenny beating Arvo would have more sense and there would be a reason to do it instead of "I am just beating him because i´m mad"

  • Well he did have a reason, Arvo got Luke (and determinantly Bonnie) killed. He said the ice was strong enough to cross, but it clearly wasn't. Luke (and possibly Bonnie) died because of Arvo.

Such a waste of a potentially interesting character. To the point when she died I was kinda like "oh well, fuck it."

Apparently, I wasn't too far off from the writer's reaction.

yea they were saying carver was really smart then in episode 3 he was only as smart as ben he didn't know what overzealas ment had to ask troy if it was the right word and the smart thing to do was to get the new people on your side first and keep them away from the cabin group like the governor did show a friendly face .....sorry bad at spelling spellchecker not working

  • They pretty much wasted the cabin group

  • There were loads of S2 characters with potential but that never happened because they probably couldn't be arsed with it. Disappointing.
