While I do agree that a lot of the things Jane did would be out of character for Molly, I think that 2 years into the apocalypse, Molly might be a little bit different. And instead of Jane who was just introduced as a loner who puts herself before anyone else, Molly could have DEVELOPED into that given some more tragic backstory. Character development is always better than plain old character.

While Molly and Jane were both interesting character's, both could take care of themselves, they are both different character's and I would rather Telltale not re-use the same characters over and over. We could even assume it was Molly that saved Kenny in Savannah and she was with Kenny at the lodge. That would have been a reasonable way to bring her into season two, but then at Howe's they could have met Jane just like we did and have both character's in the group. I would prefer that over replacing one with the other!

I believe Molly had much better chances making it out than Kenny. In fact every missing character has had better chances to reappear.. Lily, Christa, Molly etc... Ken is no Tyrese, but he was surrounded by walkers in both situations. With one being surrounded in a dark room. Kenny was probably originally supposed to have his fate sealed in Season 1 along with Ben and Lee in Savannah. But since his fan-base was so large the developers could have change their minds and made him come back if it fitted into the narrative somewhat. Kenny was like the "Daryl Dixon" of the video game series fan-wise.

Yeah pretty much. If she was in on stealing the boat, then her doing all that shit is plausible, but her not stealing the boat makes her too… more clean to do any of that.
Still, I like my flawed characters, so I say leave Jane in S2. Maybe she'll be in S3?

I'm actually imagining an alternate season where Sarita is alone at the ski-lodge with Walter & Matt, and her affection towards children is balanced by her otherwise cold demeanor towards adults.

When I found out what kind of person Jane was (lone wolf, outsider and untrusting) I cringed because that could have easily been Molly and she was one of my favorites from S1. In a way I'm kinda glad it wasnt Molly because I'd have to choose between her or Kenny, which would be extremely difficult.
Or maybe Jane shouldn't have been such an obvious attempt at Gritty Molly Reboot? Like... the sister back story could have been anything else and still gotten the point across. Hell, they could have just made it a little brother. But they went the same kind of route. Meh, not every character needs to return. I'm fine with Molly staying gone and also Lily. Maybe that's because I didn't like Molly in the first place. Jane was a pretty weak carbon copy of her though, not to mention I disliked her even more.
The only other possible fights are Kenny vs Mike, Kenny vs Carlos Or Jane vs Carlos. Luke vs Kenny is impossible, Luke can't hit a fly and avoid fights

However, Molly and Kenny were/are on good terms, meaning all the conflict between them likely wouldn't have reached the extent of Kenny/Jane, if not completely avoided. Molly also isn't a pure survivalist person like Jane. She wouldn't have hid the baby, abandoned Sarah. Not saying I dislike the idea, just that it wouldn't be very plausible.
He has pretty built forearms and a thick chest. He'd definitely have the stamina for it, assuming he's not running on empty like in episodes 3-5.

They actually said in an IGN interview with Gavin Hammon (Kenny) wondering if Kenny was originally meant to be dead and he was, they recorded all of the death screams and yelling out to Lee for help etc, but the producer actually deleted that sound file and said, "Hey look you're coming back in Season 2."

There is some effort at using Bonnie and Jane to criticize Kenny's "alpha male horseshit", although it's undercut by Bonnie suddenly abandoning Clem and Jane endangering a baby's life. Isn't it possible for a woman to be strong enough to critique men AND actually care about children's welfare?
