  • Nope, I think he's just ignorant.

  • If you mess around enough when Reggie asks you to behave on your first night at Carvers, Troy will open the gate and tell you to stop messing about and Sarita will reassure him you weren't causing any trouble to which he responds with "Hey no ones asking you uhh.. Indian.. Lady?" then Kenny goes "Hey!" but Sarita then says "It's okay I am Indian" in a offended manner.

Wait, I missed that part with Troy; but Sarita is Indian? and juding from her accent, Indian by birth? Also, "other than that he's tolerant

Me pointing out a character's flaws = Literally calling them Satan? What is it with kids these days and their darn gifs?

who are the rest of your favourites? ;D

  • I hate the bastardization of him, not the character who died in Season 1.

  • Then your problem is with TellTales writing of him in Season 2, not me.

Everyone is guilty of racism and prejudice to a degree.

Well not me, I've seen what call naming dose, also I have been a subject verbal abused. I hate bulling, there fore I will never call someone a name. The only name calling I will give out to is to bullies.

We aren't talking about whether Arvo did anything wrong or not, or if Kenny's hatred for him was justified, we're discussing whether of not Kenny is a racist. Kenny treats Arvo that way because Arvo led his group to ambush Kenny's, during said ambush Rebecca dies, and several other people from their group could have died had they not gained the upper hand. The group was already in between a rock and a hard place with AJ, and trying to find food and shelter, Arvo's group aggravated the situation immensely. Arvo being the only one left alive, and the one who led his group to Kenny's group is why he hates him so much. Arvo bolting on the ice pond, and then Luke dying obviously doesn't quell Kenny's hatred for him in the least. I am not saying that Kenny was in the right for treating Arvo the way he did, but his reasoning for treating him that way and calling him racist slurs is not because Kenny is racist against Russians, it's because of the events that occurred due to Arvo's presence, so Kenny wants to make it utterly clear both to the group, and to Arvo himself, that he hates Arvo. If you hate someone that much it isn't unheard of to call them every name in the book that would insult them the most.

Arvo did nothing, it was Buricko. That's why he calls a skinny disabled kid a "fuckin' Commie" and treats him like he's a horrific monste

  • Nothing personal, but I find that hard to believe. Isn't there a group of people that you dislike? If you met someone of this group of people, you'd more than likely have some preconceived notions about them that may or may not be true necessarily. It's cool that you want to not be like that, most people would agree to actively try to not be racist or prejudiced against a group of people, but I still believe everyone is to a degree.

  • Who cares? Racist, not racist, saint, sinner, who cares? He is a character. That is all I care about. Please stop bringing up race in fictional or real subjects.

  • I admit that I hate some people still that were in my high-school class, but this is because they bullied me and made me feel like a outcast. So bulling is a factor this has nothing to race at all. I try to be socially aware, its my experience that assuming things that another person may have gone through leads to insult and hurt feelings. That is why when I talk to a person who different race I don't ask where they are from or what accents that have. They find questions like that insulting. No I am not prejudiced against any race at all. nor- do I try to be prejudiced against them. Honestly I try to understand people I met, this takes away problems that may happen between me and the person down the road - you know misunderstandings.

Yes I might distance myself from people but only when I don't like that person's choice. That or bulling is a factor - In that case I try to help those people in need with out taking some words myself.

So yeah no I am open minded, I try to understand different sides to the story. but Bulling I won't accept - nor I would anyone who dose do bulling.

    Clementine: "What about Mexico?"
Kenny: "Why, you want a taco!?"
    Loved that line!

On a serious note, I can tell you from personal experience, that Mexicans know how to cook.
Even though I'm a whte guy, I was partly raised around the Spanish culture, so I got to enjoy some goooooooood food!
    Good food, and beautiful women.
Doesn't get any better than that, son!

I only fear what would've happened if "Arvo" had been replaced with "Miguel" and Kenny started yelling racial slurs about Mexicans... a bunch of angry yelling about tacos

  • My family is full of loving, intelligent people who are nonetheless capable of racism. Racial prejudice is a bad thing to hold onto, but you can be a good person and still hold racist values.

  • Emm...actually, it does matter. It builds the characters identity and in games like this where the story is critical, you need to know what and who you are dealing with.

  • Not saying it doesn't matter. I'm just saying I don't care if anyone in TWDG or otherwise is racist. I've had enough of people misusing the word (in general, not this thread), and I just don't care anymore.

I can't remember Daryl being racist, but I could be wrong. Maybe he said something about T-dog.

Let me just ask: Why is it so important to believe a character isn't racist? It's perfectly fine for characters to have flaws like that.
