  • Okay, cool.

    1) Is it safe? Well the perimeters for all the areas (slave camp, militia camp, "various other trades" camp, and especially the "noble" camp. 24-7 surveillance both on, and beyond the walls, with scheduled recon/elimination missions to wipe out all hostiles within a certain radius, such as large groups of people, or walkers; if people are encountered, then they are to be captured if there's room in the slave camps. Very young children are always to be captured for re-education. All homes are to be locked at a certain time in the evening, and everyone is checked for any injuries sustained; especially bites. If there is overpopulation in the slave camps, then those capable are prematurely promoted to militia, and those deemed incompetent/liabilities are killed/sacrificed for the many. All dead bodies are cremated to insure no spread of disease; all food is reviewed for the same reason.

    Basically, it's secure from the outside world. Walls or both wood and cement shield the populous, along with several tunnels for possible escape. The "nobles" are made up, mostly, of those that built the foundation of this place from the ground up.

    2) Clem, as a slave, is treated like shit from most of the guards; there are some that try to make the slave's life easier, like a few more breaks, actually helping, not beating/yelling at them, giving them more rations, but it's mostly 30/70 in favor of the assholes. The slaves themselves vary depending on their mental state; some are nice, some are friendly, some are introverted, some are assholes, some are stressed, some are parasites, and some are rats sent in to see those that aren't pulling their weight. The militia is much like any military, except for the decreased level of discipline. There are different squads, with varying collective personalities, and there is a nature of competitiveness among them all.

    3) In the rare chance that a horde manages to get close enough for some walkers to get in, they are taken care of quickly, and without wasted movement. Usually the militia uses themselves to lure away the walkers before taking them out via coordinated attacks. Militia members wear "armor" created within the walls; think riot protection wear.Due to the strict protocols, and the constant surveillance by both the guards, and militia, walker presence within the walls practically non-existent. The biggest, potential threat within the walls are the humans within them....and outside factions...
