They are annoyed by the Kenny fans worshipping his mustache, they're too ignorant to see that most of us are just joking around. Realizing his flaws and still accepting him as a good guy who only wants whats safest for his group is apperantly is not good enough to these people, they will find ANY reason to shoot down Kenny even though his intentions has always been the well being of the group.
^^^^^^^ They hate him because of the final fight also.
Going off at Jane was more than an impulsive act IMO, as indicated by the line "I aint gonna let you.." line (while stabbing Jane).
Kenny knew that Clem being around Jane would eventually also result in a same fate similar to AJ's.. I know alot of people getting pissed by an attempt murder from a character we've known since Season 1. But you're essentially blaming the guy for doing what he though was the only way to protect the only and last person he cares most about in the world (Clem).
Also i wonder if the people who present Kenny as satan himself for that act would also blame Lee for doing the same thing?
As indicated by his talk with Vernon. Lee mentions (determinant) that anyone that tries to get between Clem and him is gonna end up dead. Which was exactly what Jane was up to. What gives you the right to get in between two old companions that survived the ZA for 2 years? She had no right AT ALL, they survived together this long, and they would've been fine without her presence in the future.
I can't find any point that i disagree with
Because they simply can; the same goes for hating other characters.
I personally don't like him because he's pig-headed and stubborn and I just couldn't stand him. I understand why others may like him, though. People interpret his character differently and made certain decisions in S1 that probably made him like you more. But, essentially, it comes down to how he's interpreted to the player, which, shockingly enough, isn't going to be the same as everyone.
Final fight is because of Jane. If she tell Kenny about the A.J evrything will be ok. Better if they do something with this ending delete it or something cause its stupid
Well yes she provoked the fight but it wouldn't be a fight if Kenny didn't act impulsively. Because for a fight to happen you need two people. My ending was great but yes that scene i didn't find necessary.
I like Kenny... maybe they hate Kenny just because of his other half ridiculous fans?? who make him more mainstream or like "OHH KENNY I WORSHIP YOU URE JESUS THE PROPHET AND GOD" like that?? uhh i don't know sorry
:<
Me too, i don't understand why Kenny is hated, i like him, maybe he is little lost but i like him.

I like him (I stayed with him instead of going to Wellington) but maybe some people hate him because in season 1 he could be a total jerk if you didn't agree with everything he said, even leaving Lee to die on multiple occasions and refusing to help Lee find Clementine. Also, maybe it's the fact that he came back this season and that his development may have overshadowed other characters development.
I didn't trust him at first as I could see that he was clearly broken and I feared that he might have become a little crazy after all this time. But then in episode 5 I wanted to find Wellington(I was still hoping to find Christa) and I couldn't trust Jane anymore after what she had done so I stayed with Kenny and I actually don't regret it seeing how he offers to sacrifice himself to allow Clem to stay safe in Wellington.
I see Kenny as a grand-father figure for Clem despite his violence (which I think would never be directed at Clem) he ultimately only cares about family and protecting Clem and the baby unlike any other person we've met this season. So, we'll hopefully see how it turns out in season 3.
DomeWing333 once described Kenny as a "crazy uncle" type of figure for Clementine. I think that's a more apt metaphor.
@Pete_Joseph_Randall Nope, that's definitely not the reason, at least for me it isn't. It was episode 4 of season 2 when I started to hate him, after he yelled at Clem for Saritas death I was pretty much done with him, keep in mind I was basically a Kenny fanboy before that.
Kenny= 100% controversy.
Kenny is a violent, stubborn lunatic, who thinks he is right about everything and never listens to reason. He is the reason why Mike/Bonnie left the group the way they did. Arvo shooting Clementine, if Kenny didn't kill his sister, Clem wouldn't of had to shoot the zombie to keep Kennie alive.
But you know what else Kenny is? My friend, so i still picked him over Jane and would do so again. I remember him as a father, i remember him having arguments with his wife, i remember other sides to Kenny. Even if we don't get along, doesn't mean i don't like him but yeah he is a jerk.
But he is my jerk.
Either they straight up don't like him (and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. People align themselves to various characters for various reasons. Can't blame anyone for not liking a character that is admittedly hard to like.)
Or all the of the 'worship' has gotten a little too annoying (and I can't blame anyone for that, either. I'd get annoyed over things like this, too.)
He's pretty much the most polarizing character in the game. It's been back and forth regarding him since the very beginning. I personally like him, but I won't hold it against anybody that doesn't. Everyone's got their reasons going both ways.
Don't Worry, i don't hate kenny... I hate kenny AND jane
i have mixed feelings on him. From Season 1, i tried to be the peacemaker from day 1. That doesn't work well with Kenny, he wanted me to help him kill Lilly's father. I chose to try to save his life, and he acted like such a baby about the whole thing. Even after the decision was made, he still cries to Lee about how Lee let Kenny down...
I was so annoyed, whatever Kenny. I really liked his kid Duck, when he died i felt like i should try to look out for Kenny for Duck's sake, then Kenny would get progressively worse by each episode. The only reason why i watched Kenny kill Jane was i simply didn't trust her at all, after what she did to Troy, i was done with her at that moment.
Kenny doesn't listen to anyone.
I wouldn't say i like him, i think its beyond that. I don't like what he does, but i like who he is. I wouldn't screw him over, and i would help him the best i could because i really liked Duck, and duck would want me to treat his father well. So there you go.
Let me start back from the beginning.
I didn't have even the slightest problem with Kenny until the meat locker shit went down. I started distancing myself from him, never really hating him until he called Clementine a "sham of a family" and tried fighting me because I was trying to help him with his son. Even then, I understood the shit he was going through. I just wanted nothing to do with a man that would threaten someone for simply bringing up an issue that could be potentially catastrophic.
All that was still nothing to what I felt after episode 4, when I asked for his assistance in rescuing Clementine. He said "no, you ain't been there." And I told him to fuck himself. I was done with him after that, completely.
Now, season 2. I was surprised to see Kenny at first, a bit distant still, but surprised (mostly cause at the time, I hated the cabin group). And again, I didn't start actively hating him until he was comfortable viciously maiming a man in front of little girl... again. I suppose I should be blaming myself for expecting Kenny to be a bigger man and know when he is negatively rubbing off on a young girl, but there you go. And literally from episode 4 through 5, I loathed Kenny's behavior and even made a drinking game out of how many times he'd get angry at any given situation.
He's a character, who from the beginning, has constantly been going downhill for me.
Because he's psychotic. Because he does most everything wrong with the half-assed justification that he is right. He doesn't listen to others, ever. He has an ego the size of the universe and then some. He's annoying. He's fairly useless aside from a little extra muscle, but thinks himself so much more. He's crazy. And, oh, he's crazy.
hmm well put, I'm totally in Jane's camp but that is a good argument
I didn't like him that much in Season 1 but as soon as he came back in Season 2 my opinion on him changed. I liked him throughout Season 2 until episode 5 during the final fight. So maybe people hate him because he is a bit of a jerk, he doesn't listen to anyone (except Clem) and he ends up brutally murdering Carver and murders Jane, but really who knows, some people just hate characters.
But he was right about everything
I like Kenny he's just ....broken.
Boat-en.
Sorry really bad pun.
I never really liked puns until recently, i don't find them funny but some people do.
Kenny is the kind of person that I personally don't like. Quick to anger, quick to judge and never gives anyone a second chance most of the time. Close minded people, who never want to see the good in people who don't help him/her most of the time.
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't happy to see that Kenny returned, but he was the same a-hole he always was, and it wore thin on me. I just wish it didn't have to come down to killing him.
I don't hate him, I just dislike him.
damn you must get verbally offended easily
They hate him because his actions, while 98% justified, go against some of the players' beliefs
Kenny kills Bonnie, Mike and Arvo after Clem gets shot
"WOW HES SUCH A MURDERER EVERYONE SAW IT COMING"
Lee kills Bonnie, Mike and Arvo after Clem gets shot
"Such a hero, the best caretaker for Clem"
Hahaha.
Because Kenny is complete asshole, he would leave Lee in a drugstore filled with walkers trapped under a door because he doesn't agree with him. Or he wouldn't help search for Clementine either, what kind of a person does that? He also argues over Ben in Crawford about tossing him out (and wanting Lee to drop him) of the group meanwhile tons of walkers are waiting outside, who does this stuff?
I find Kenny to be a real jerk, his heart my lie in the right place, but his harsh judgement and quick thinking make a complete ass out of himself and a moron.
There are other things I can say about him, but that I don't feel like typing a novel.
Please stop, all of us here know that you have a bias when it comes to Kenny, if you can't respect my reasons for disliking Kenny then move on with your day. It isn't necessary for you to tell me I get "verbally offended easily".
His personality is what pisses me off more than ever, and his actions.
Sadly, this is 100% true.
I personally love Kenny but nobody has to like him. Same for any character, really.
Alot of the things he does in the game is why people hate him, he broke a group apart by demanding they journey up north to find a place that might not even exist and even if it does they wouldn't be able to get in anyway, abandoning the main character from both seasons to die over petty reasons. And most likely the kenny fans with their "HE DIN DO NUFIN, HE A GOOD MAN, JANE/LILLY/ARVO IS SATAN" mentality and inability to tolerate that people don't agree with things he does or the fact they didn't pick his oh so precious endings.
You like Duck? Didn't expect that.. Never understood why the majority would hate such an innocent soul.
This made me laugh. .3.
I don't know why people hate Duck so much either, but hey, when have people ever made sense?
