I think Sarah reminded Jane of Jaime. And, I think Clem reminds Jane of herself.
And why would she want to make her into someone who couldn't survive? Jane has a lot of bad memories tied to Jaime, but I think she's accepted her sister's fate. Rather than holding onto it, and blaming herself.
Good for you, George. Positivity is a good thing! Let that anger just be washed awayyy.
Or you can just sing "Let it go" at the top of your voice!
Lol but yeah sometimes walking away from a comment is the best thing to do, imo. Or at least, taking some time to cool down before responding as respectfully as you can. Kudos to you George, for trying your best to do so!
Well that's a little harsh.
I agree, there are a lot of reasons i believe people post, don't post. Personally i have had moments wh… moreen i would lose control because of my "issues", and just rage out on someone through the keyboard, because i may disagree or they are being rude or forwhatever reason. That isn't someone i want to be anymore, so i "try" key emphasis word is "try" not to be my old self. I am trying to be more of a positive person, at least this year. The war from within needs to end.
My Anger will wash over me like a rainstorm, soaking me through the bone.
Speculation is the name of the game. We don't know for sure, why Jane hatched her plan. Or, why Mike and Bonnie decided to spilt (could probably list more, but won't). There are clues, but no hard evidence.

Like, really guys? Kenny suddenly cares about Clem hugely in season 2 when they have little to no interaction in season 1 and even accidentally CALLS her by his son's name, and you think Jane is viewing Clem as a replacement?
Exactly, I find it hard to believe people think Jane is doing that, when in reality it's Kenny, and there's actual proof to back that up.
The Jane situation is actually fascinating in looking at the mentality of the sector of Kenny fans who just repeate everything he says and s… moreays all he does is unambiguously right (while somehow still being 'flawed'..?)
Because the entire 'Jane is selfish' argument literally comes from what Kenny says, not from any evidence in episode 5. She constantly puts her life at risk for Clem in episode 5, saves Kenny's life, lets in the family (strangers!) at the end...she actually grows. She starts of being selfish, but Clem shows her that she need not be. Her character can grow, whereas no matter what Clem does, Kenny always beats Arvo, always tries to turn the group into a dictatorship by going against their vote, and shows no departure from his angry propensity.
He even acknowledges in the Kenny ending that he doesn't trust himself to look after her - because while he may want to change, he can't.

LOL she is willing to listen all right.
Jane: that asshole! I swear Clem I can't take it anymore.
Clem: all you're doing is making it … moreworse!
Jane: you're just like him..
Proceeds to execute her manipulative plan to create a fight scenario that will grant the opportunity to try and kill Clem's oldest friend
Kenny: look after AJ, I don't trust that girl with the baby.
Clem: I like her, she helped us back on the road.
Kenny: Hell maybe you're right, I didn't even know what to make of Lee at first.
Or:
Clem: You're dangerous Kenny.
Kenny: I know Clem, ever since Katja and Duck died something broke inside of me. But I'm trying to do better Clem.
Im not even gonna bother with you people anymore, jane fans are one of the most delusional beings. Its like talking to a pit.
As much as I would like that, that would require 5 episodes for each episode if we go off each ending, or they can cut it down to 3. That's at least 15 episodes per season, so I doubt thats a possibility.
i still think telltale could actually try and make Jane/Kenny (or neither if both dead) matter the entire season depending on that last choice. I want a hell of a lot more branching paths. They really could try to do that
Ever heard of something called... Opinions?
Shocking, I know.
I'm really getting sick of these types of threads. "Oh, Jane's better" "… moreNo, Kenny's better!" Woop-de-fucking-doo.
Don't mean to sound harsh but, what's the point? The whole Kenny vs Jane topic is like beating a dead fucking horse.

Jane didn't die for Clementine. She died for the idea she built up about Clementine. She only knew the girl for what? A week? A week and a half at most? While I will agree all relationships develop faster and in a more extreme fashion when so few people are left on earth, and obviously she'll have a soft spot for Clem regardless, she didn't actually KNOW her. She knew what she wanted to see. She didn't really value Clem for herself, but rather for the idealized vision she had of her--that is, basically, all the good parts of Jaime.
Jane's death wasn't a sacrifice. Honestly, as I write this now, it was a semi-suicidal ultimatum for ultimately very selfish reasons; "Either I get 'Jaime' back, or I die."
As for other situations where she might risk her life for Clementine's, I'm not so sure. I'm not doubting it, it could be possible, I'm just not so sure. But I just wanted to point out that, in this situation, it wasn't so much "risking her life for Clementine" as it was "making the decision to die if she doesn't get what she wants."
We're resurrecting the Jane vs Kenny argument again? I was an active participant in those debates but I know I'm not the only one who is beyond sick of seeing these threads pop up over and over again. Nothing will ever be accomplished from topics of this nature, this has been clearly established for months. It's as though you guys want to start a fight.

Canon or not, it clearly shows what Jane would do if worse comes to worse. She runs away, most likely having no intention to save Luke and Sarah either.
Honestly, I don't get why you'd use these to help your argument because there's a big difference in Sarita and Clem. One's just a side chara… morecter and the other is the character you're actually playing as. You're SUPPOSED to die because it's a game over scene, why would TT program that in to have Jane magically save you?
Besides, the death scenes aren't even canon so...

Why is Kenny so amazing? Why was he right about everything and everyone in both seasons? Why is he the only one who can make Clem smile and … morelaugh? Why does he provide the best endings of all time? Why is he the overall best choice for Clem's wellbeing?
Lee is immensely proud
I just shed a tear typing this
Don't take this the wrong way, but are you one of the guys who used to be a kenny fanatic?
Regardless, it's good to see more reasonable Kenny fans. Some people won't change, though.

Assumptions, and interpretations....Realllly big onesss....How on earth do you know that Jane isn't running to Clem in that gif?
Not really comparable. Death scenes are not canon. They both cared about Clementine, but Kenny tried to use Clem as a surrogate child. Jane used her as a somewhat surrogate sister. They both are flawed. Kenny is extremely flawed, Jane is less flawed, but that doesn't make either one perfect.
She didn't die for Clem, she died for her own ideology. Because of her sick and twisted mind she would rather die than paint herself as a li… morear and manipulator if she were to reveal it was all a lie. If the baby didn't cry she would have probably left him there. Who cares anyways, crap character in a crap episode with a crap final conflict.
I doubt Jane would go back and let Clementine die when she already made this far.

I felt like Clementine didn't know anyone but Kenny this season. They all survived together but they barely revealed anything about themselves, who they are, we just make assumptions of what characters would've or could've done.

This is true, but what we do know is that Jane does care about Clementine or she wouldn't have risked her life.
What else was she going to do? Stay and watch the Walker eat Clementine?

eww tears are salty why would you drink them
Would you like me to quote the massive number of hostile and dismissive Kenny quotes, instead of the one very selective one yoou chose?

You could argue that Kenny cares for Clementine to make her his new Duck.
dont doubt the impossible ;3 we could just wait another month or so for each individual episode
I think it's possible.
So you forgot the fact that he LITERALLY RUNS AWAY AND ABANDONS CLEM IN THE HORDE?
Deaths are non-canon. Is this the depths Jane's anti-fans are sinking to?
I like the homoerotic picture you posted.
And I'd like your copy of Episode 4 where Kenny didn't abandon Clem in the middle of a horde.

Some are completely biased and thus blind facing facts that don't support their arguments.

10 year olds have more common sense, Bokor.
I love the last photo, goDDAMN THEY'RE ADORABLE
Hey guys. Jane starts with the letter J.
Want to know what other word starts with J?
Jealous
i'd argue that at that point, clem is a goner so ¯_(ツ)_/¯ but w/e that's speculation, along with the idea that she wouldn't save sarah and luke.
That broken slide isn't exactly Mount Everest, honey. And we don't even see her reappear.
EDIT: Not to mention how she completely blew off the fact that they COULD be alive, just because she found Sarah's glasses.
Uh-huh. Okay.

Jane looked unaware in the second .gif. There was also no saving Clementine in the first .gif.
GOOD LUCK FOR THE WRITTERS!!!!!!! that's all i can say to them...
