    That would be cool

  • Not a prequel DLC, I want either another seperate story of something new

  • No prequel DLC's, and besides not everyone would want to play as Kenny.

  • Not everyone will want to play as the character we'll be given in the DLC, whoever might that be, so...

No prequel DLC's, and besides not everyone would want to play as Kenny.

  • I'd like that too, I made a thread some time ago about it with a little story made by me: http://www.telltalegames.com/community/discussion/84568/kenny-dlc

P.S: I know it's out of topic but the Kenny between seasons 1 and 2 makes me think of the "The Last Pale Light in the West" song and how well it fits Kenny.

Why would Telltale want the player to play a grown up man with a completely built up personality throughout the story? that's foolish.

  • edited January 2015

    Sure, why not?

I mean, this Season Kenny had little to no screen time or development. He needs a DLC of his own to make up for that.

...But seriously, I don't really see a need for a Kenny DLC. Even if it's to fill us in of how he survived between Season 1 and 2, there's really no need.

  • Little to none? it was him who grabbed all the spotlight plot ever since episode 2,he's way past his screentime,he exist only to please the fanbase.

  • Clementines personality was built up in s1 though, it wasnt amazing (by any means at all), but it was still very built up as she WAS the duetagonist. She was nothing in season 2 besides the player, it basically drops everything we know about clementine and its terrible lol

I want a DLC where we play as Christa after she gets separated from Clem.

The very notion of Kenny appearing in as many episodes as Clementine, as would happen if we played as him in a DLC, and also of playing as that...'man' makes me feel nauseated. Please please no Telltale.

  • He already appears in as much as Clem, he cameoed in 400 Days at the beginning.

  • I didn't really count that, but now you have me fearing that he'll be in MORE episodes than clementine.

  • Mark DLC now.

  • I have to remind you again that she is a child, therefore much more flexible to change her personality depends on many factors, unlike Kenny who is and always been an overly obsessive family man, nothing can be explored more on his shallow character.

It's seriously the worst ideal I've ever heard on these forums. Why play as an already pre-determinately established side character? One that already has set character traits and his own backstory? What would the dialogue options be?

Character 1: "Hey Kenny, we need to rethink our strategy here. We don't want to get killed..."

Kenny's options: (Do it anyway, cause fuck him/her)

"I'm going to do it anyway. Fuck you, pussy."

"I knew you were a pussy. I'm going to do it anyway."

    (Do it anyway. Cause LOL)

I have lost my interest in Kenny as a character and my sympathy for him. The only thing good about a Kenny DLC would be everything but Kenny. (In other words, Walter, Matthew, and Sarita.)

  • or Kenny's Urban dictionary app...

  • life with kenny and carver simulator xD

I wouldn't want a full DLC based around Kenny, but I wouldn't mind a 400 days-esque 10-15 minute story about how he escaped after season 1, and explore his relationship with Sarita a little bit.

I don't think he's a character that needs any more than an extra 20 minutes to tie up some loose ends.

He voluntarily banned himself so he wouldn't feel inclined to post or look at things on here. Sometimes you need a break from things, but it's hard to resist the urges to go back to it anyway.

  • I wouldn't mind a DLC involving Kenny like you said as long as its no more than 15-20 minutes long. I just want to know how he got out of the fence, to where Clementine ran into him. I would also like to see the relationship between the Cabin Group/Carver before they ran away, what lead to the escape, where they killed George. Was Carver always like that, or did George's death cause him to change. Also 20 minutes long, and maybe a short about the fates of the DLC characters.

I still want to know what happened to them i guess. Is Becca alive, i used to hate her because she was mean to Sarah, but now that Sarah is dead i kind of like her.

Yeah, I'd like a kind of anthology thing like 400 days where it just ties up loose ends. The cabin group prior to their escape, what happened to the rest of the 400 days cast, etc.

  • Yeah Luke was onscreen for the 5 episodes and was so boring all the time imo. Pete was one of the two cabin group characters that I found really interesting (the second is Rebecca)

  • That's interesting. Five stories: for Rebecca/Alvin, Carlos/Sarah, Nick/his mother/Pete/Luke could be split in two episodes and the conclusion. But maybe a prequel isn't really a good idea. Doesn't matter. I want more Pete and Rebecca.

  • Well personally i would prefer it to be twice as long as 400 days, (2-3 hrs long aprox) but yeah that format. Something that can keep me occupied until the next Season is released. Where its just a few clips about people, like maybe we play from Becca's perspective during the night of the attack, and see what happens to her. Maybe Shel gets killed who knows.

We find out what happened to Kenny/Christa to tie up loose ends.

We find out what happened to the rest of Carver's camp/Carver's story.

Personally i would love if they did this.

I wouldn't say a bad idea. With a prequel you'd get more development that can be tied to Season 2, and actually make it stronger because it would add more to the characters and that history we never saw. So in theory, if done right, it would do the season a lot of good. That's why I'd be for a DLC on the cabin group, because it's more characters than Kenny's group and could tie into Carver's place and include him and other characters from there too. Plus, all the things the cabin group brought up here and there throughout the season [like George, Nick's mom with the bite victim, Reggie being left behind, Luke and Bonnie apparently being a 'thing' etc, etc] it sounds like there's a lot of potential material there that could be used.

Maybe it's still possible to do something with Kenny perhaps, like the idea of the story thing you mentioned, but I'm not sure because Kenny did get so developed. Again, I'd just be all for seeing more on cabin group, if they ever did go ahead on a DLC. I'd say Christa too maybe on finding out what happened to her, but somehow I feel like they're saving that tale to be explored in a Season 3, if we ever see her again T_T damn well better.

  • Anthology like 400 days would be awesome, 400 days is one of the most underrated things in the game

  • Wait I got it:

Give his a 3 part DLC - Kenny, Jane, and a new person. That way, if Kenny or Jane are alive in our story, they can get more development, and a new person is always nice. Maybe throw in a 400 Days character.

  • that would be fucking amazing.
