Again I DONT HATE SARAH im just saying its completely understandable why some people hate Sarah for people who act like she did absolutely nothing annoying for the whole game. And to be honest to most of your points clementine's behaviour with her parents was the most annoying thing about her in season 1 to the point it got lee killed indirectly.
I understand the counter arguments fine I'm just laying out why people dont like her, also again these people aren't real here they are pixels hating on fictional especially animated characters I have no issue with if people want to.
Whooo doggy talk about opening up a can of worms. I'm sure Firewallcano didn't mean to look like he was attacking Sarah's character, just writing reasons as to what a regular player of TWD would be thinking.
Whooo doggy talk about opening up a can of worms.
You think people would learn about me before talking about Sarah in a way. :P
H… moreere:
I know they aren't, just countering them. I never said "Firewallcano is horrible human for saying these".
Yeah, I have Anxiety and Depression and whenever someone says something like "Sarah's not normal she should have died sooner in a slower way… more BECAUSE she wasn't normal."...It....It gets me...It really makes me think "Wow, if in this situation people think about people like me in this way?"...It's not a good feeling.
None of those reasons were good reasons to hate her. There is no reason for people to hate her in the game and wish her death.
I understand the counter arguments fine I'm just laying out why people dont like her, also again these people aren't real here they are pixels hating on fictional especially animated characters I have no issue with if people want to.
Let me explain to you something...The reason i'm so passionate about Sarah's character:
Yeah, I have Anxiety and Depression and whenever someone says something like "Sarah's not normal she should have died sooner in a slower way BECAUSE she wasn't normal."...It....It gets me...It really makes me think "Wow, if in this situation people think about people like me in this way?"...It's not a good feeling.

I can relate, having social anxiety and mild depression myself. I see myself in Sarah, hence why I relate to her out of all characters.
B… moreut nonetheless, they're just words from either naïve people or ignorant people, depending on the context behind the words.
But shes not real.... people shoot and run over people in GTA etc who havnt done anything. Sarah could easily be considered annoying by her behaviour (maybe not to you) and from what i've seen plenty people hated her before ep4 when her behaviour became more erratic.
I also think its a bit odd to group Sarah into hating sarah= hating anyone with depression for me this generalising all people with depression as the same person which isnt right

Why? Why that comparison? TWD is a game where the character development really shines and every someone's death makes a difference. GTA isn't that, kill as many civs in GTA and they'll jut be replaced. Hating her is stupid.
I also think its a bit odd to group Sarah into hating sarah= hating anyone with depression for me this generalising all people with depression as the same person which isnt right
Yet saying Sarah should die because she isn't normal is right? Isn't normal could and does equal people with problems.

Too many people held her to the Ben standard which basically means no matter how old you are you're still useless and the butt of hate and criticism. She was just a teen I never held any dislike for her. I tried eve I could to save her and was angry when the game wouldn't allow me. I always have sympathy for children/ younger characters
Honestly i didn't like her for other reasons than "she was a girl, she was useless blah blah."
I disliked Sarah because as soon as I met her I knew that she would get someone killed (Reggie) and she reminded me a lot of Ben, a couple years younger than Ben but still reminded me of him, I also disliked her because even if you do try and be her friend after not pinky swearing she willl hold it against you, kind of like how Kenny does in season 1.. Main reasons why I hate her anyways, I'm super tired at the moment and am having trouble typing so I'm going to go Have a nice day
Sarah and Clem were nothing alike. Clem never shut down and started crying in a corner. When she was told to do something, she did it. Cleme… morentine wouldn't have had to get slapped at Carver's camp for what Sarah got slapped for. She added nothing of value, and the only redeemable and interesting part of her personality was that she was a survivor who didn't want to hurt anybody. Clem showed potential; Sarah never showed any potential.
Loved Sarah. She was too good for this world. If I could choose to resurrect anyone from the cabin group, it'd be her. I always thought if Clem had more time to talk to her, she'd give her some sound advise on how to survive. But no, Rebecca and Jane just had to put a stop to it, because they thought Sarah couldn't handle being aggressively talked to, after what happened to Carlos. But quite frankly, she needed a wake up call. Not to be coddled further.

Both of Clem's parents died, she almost got trapped and ate by cannibals, her best friend died right in front of her, she saw everyone around her go crazy, and she was younger than Sarah. Mental fortitude = potential as a survivor.
And yet Sarah has mental problems, got kept inside of a crazy man's fortress where everyone except the group that escaped hated her, she was sheltered by her father to protect her, she started to defy her father and adults to protect Clem, She saw her dad die RIGHT IN FRONT of her, and then he saw as everyone forgot about her in her largest time of need and then died.

That's the thing, though. Those things broke Sarah, and the things Clementine went through didn't break her. This is the reason they are not the same, and this is the reason why some wouldn't want to take Sarah with them. After Lee died, Clementine walked through a horde of zombies and wandered until she found some help. Sarah had to be convinced to be saved. Putting those two events into a larger perspective will tell you which one will give you a chance to live and save yourself and which one will get you both killed. Clem steadily got stronger, and Sarah steadily got weaker. It's not her fault that she has to carry extra mental burdens, but it takes a really special person to bear that weight for someone else, especially in a zombie apocalypse. I don't hate Sarah, but I would never travel with her under the circumstances of the game. I have to look out for myself. That's all I'm really trying to say.

I just wanted to tell you that while Sarah was getting progressively weaker she had potential to be trained by Clem into a stronger survivor and potentially over come her problems. She did have potential but at the time Telltale just left everything they've been building with Sarah.

I don't hate Sarah per-se, but I was far from liking her. I understand she was suppose to represent a young Clementine to a certain extent, but I thought TellTale tried way to damn hard to make her seem like an "innocent youth" and she just came off blank, naïve, and uninspired. There are far too many child characters across games, movies, books, and television shows that are far more interesting and have that "childlike innocents" without compromising their personality.
I found her annoying and consistently bland as far as child characters go. And I realize she is implied to have some sort of autism, but that still doesn't explain her lack of personality and vapid intelligence. Hell, Danny from The Shining had autism and was extremely interesting, Sarah was just a bore.
I blame her lack of personality on TellTale. They could've developed her a LOT more, but chose not to. I don't think she was supposed to be autistic (though that is a common theory), just extremely sheltered.

Fair enough. Just wanted to share my perspective. Pretty sure I've repeated what other people have said, but that's why I wasn't upset by th… moreeir decision to not move forward with her. She could've been interesting, but they were moving in too many directions in season 2.

She didn't get any of them killed!
Those other ones are also just bad examples because if people get mad at Sarah for those they should get mad at every other character.
Honestly, I think it was Carlos's fault that Sarah wasn't prepared for a world like that. He chose to hide the horror from her rather than to teach her how to adapt to survive. If Clementine wasn't taught these things, she wouldn't make it in that world like Sarah. But what really bugged me was that even though in episode 2, I taught Sarah how to defend herself with a gun, she never ends up using one.
I think people make up the "autistic" thing so it's easier for them to accept her as a vapid bland character devoid of any and all coping skills and functioning abilities.

There's no reason for a badly written character regardless of if her fan-base says there is or not. She probably does have some sort of PTSD, I'm not saying she doesn't. What I have a hard time believing is that she's autistic. She's too bland and uninteresting to say she's autistic.
Her interactions are too marred by her inability to properly adjust to situations for it to be written off as simple autism.

You did say this, I was telling you there is a reason for her actions.

I don't hate Sarah, I thought she was too boring to be anything other than a space.
Now, going back to your "hater" comment. If you want someone to understand your point, being polite is a good start. As it stands, all your points have fallen on deaf ears now because you refuse to allow others to respectfully disagree with your flimsy arguments. Sorry, I don't like Sarah. I think she's about as bland as characters come.

I absolutely hate Sarah. I'm sorry, but I fail to see any redeeming traits. At least Ben tried to help, Sarah did nothing at all, which I find worse than doing it wrong.
She was also really annoying for me.
I get she had all of her issues, but that doesn't change my opinion of her.
But that's my opinion, if she hadn't caused Nick's second death, cause in my eyes she did cause it, maybe I wouldn't as hate-filled, but we got our opinions, you know?

Technically , it´s also the person who shoot him , Nick himself because he could not go after Sarah and Luke´s fault for letting/making him go when he was weak. But actually , it´s fault of the who shoot Carlos because Sarah wouldn´t freak out and scream if Carlos didn´t die
